Naxalism will be completely wiped out from the Country: PM Modi
Bhubaneswar, June 20 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday asserted that Naxalism will be completely eradicated from the country, emphasizing that "this is Modi's guarantee." Addressing the first anniversary celebration of the BJP government in Odisha, the Prime Minister said that at one point, Naxal violence had spread across more than 100 districts in the country, forming what was known as the "Red Corridor." He stated that it was the BJP government that took strong and decisive action against the Naxal insurgents, whose violent activities were obstructing development in tribal regions. Modi noted that the BJP-led government prioritized the development of tribal areas and successfully gained the trust of the tribal population. As a result, Naxal-related violence has significantly declined and is now limited to only 20 districts nationwide. The Prime Minister firmly reiterated that Naxalism will be completely rooted out from the country, adding, "This is Modi's guarantee." UNI DP GNK

Srabani awarded prize money of Rs. 2.5 lakh for winning silver at Asian Athletics Championship-2025
Bhubaneswar, June 11 (UNI) Odisha sportsperson Srabani Nanda, who won a silver medal in the 4x100m relay at the Asian Athletics Championship-2025, was felicitated and awarded a prize money of Rs. 2.5 lakh on Wednesday. The Odisha Sports and Youth Affairs Department honored Srabani for bringing fame to the country and the state. Odisha Sports Minister Suryavanshi Suraj, while congratulating Srabani on her achievement, said that her success would inspire all sportspersons in Odisha, especially women athletes, to build a golden future in the world of sports. Odisha CM announces Rs 10L assistance to family of communal clash victim
East Bhubaneswar, June 11 (UNI) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday announced Rs.10 lakh assistance to the next of kin of a youth who died following a communal clash. The youth, identified as Santosh Parida, was seriously injured during a communal clash that broke out between two communities in Bhadrak under the Tihidi police station jurisdiction a few days ago. He died on Wednesday while undergoing treatment. The Chief Minister expressed deep grief over the incident and said that strict action will be taken against the culprits as per the law, and justice will be provided to the family of the deceased. While announcing the assistance, Majhi also declared that a person from the family will be given a government job. UNI DP GNK
