But shoppers adore the discounted DOOGEE Android tablet, which has gained a very strong 4.5 star rating out of five, and over 1,000 have been snapped up in the last month. One pleased shopper wrote: "This tablet is an absolute gem! It's fast, responsive, and handles everything from streaming to gaming with ease. The display is bright and colourful, and the sound quality is brilliant. I love how lightweight and slim it is—very easy to carry around. "The battery lasts all day without needing a top-up, and the 16GB RAM with 128GB storage (expandable to 2TB!) makes multitasking a breeze. I've had zero issues using it and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality Android tablet. I'm really happy with this purchase!" Yet a less satisfied shopper said: "Wish I hadn't bought it. After three months, I've had a chance to get to know it and I wish I'd known then what I know now. It takes over 8/10 hours to charge, and that's with a fast charging cable. "A lot of the apps no longer work as they should and in general it's not fit for purpose. I have obviously missed the return window so it's a lot of money to lose. I've written this review to hopefully prevent anyone else making the same mistake." Lava launches Bold N1 Pro and Bold N1 4G smartphones for budget conscious buyers in India
Indian smartphone brand Lava on Thursday (May 29, 2025) launched two new 4G smartphones, Lava Bold N1 and Bold N1 Pro, in India for the budget conscious buyers. Lava Bold N1 Pro has a 6.67-inch HD+ punch-hole display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It uses a 5,000 mAh battery with a 10 W charger included in the box. It supports up to 18 W charging. Bold N1 Pro runs on Unisoc T606 octa-core processor with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 256 GB. It operates on Android 14. Bold N1 Pro sports a 50 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera with screen flash. The phone also has a side fingerprint sensor, face unlock, IP54 dust and water resistance. The phone runs on Unisoc octa-core processor with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. It operates on Android 14 Go edition. Bold N1 sports a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. The device features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, and anonymous call recording and an IP54 rating for dust and water splashes. Lava Bold N1 Pro has been priced at ₹6,699 and Bold N1 sells at ₹5,999. They will sell on Amazon from June 2 and June 4, respectively. Bold N1 Pro is available in Titanium Gold and Stealth Black while the Bold N1 comes in Radiant Black and Sparkling Ivory.

HTC quietly launches a sub-$100 smartphone with a lot of compromises
The HTC Wildfire E5 Plus quietly entered the market, and it's available for roughly $95. Of course, a phone that inexpensive comes with a number of compromises. It's not a powerhouse, but the Wildfire E5 Plus gets the job done—and well—for someone shopping on a budget. Unfortunately, it's only available in a few limited places at the moment, and there are no details on a global release. The Wildfire E5 Plus has a sleek, more modern appearance that would look right at home alongside most flagships. A few telltale details, like the larger camera bumps and thicker bezels, are the only indicators that it's a lower-end phone. The 6.75-inch display has an impressive 90Hz refresh rate but only supports a resolution of 720p. The phone is powered by a Unisoc T606 chipset. While it was a solid chip at one time, the T606 is relatively underpowered now compared to other, more popular options on the market, like the Snapdragon 8 Elite. It has 6GB of RAM — and that means it has little to no AI functionality — alongside 128GB of internal storage, but this can be expanded through a microSD card. The Wildfire E5 Plus has a 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 16MP selfie camera on the front. One area where the Wildfire E5 Plus does stand out is its battery. With a 5,000mAh capacity, its battery is larger than any found in Samsung's current flagship lineup and on par with the Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, given the lower power demands of the E5 Plus, it will likely last a great deal longer. The phone runs on Android 14 and is currently available in Vietnam for the equivalent of around $93. Like we said earlier, HTC hasn't given details on a global rollout yet.
