Kay Adams lined up for stunning move to replace Joy Taylor at Fox Sports after controversial host's exit
Kay Adams is a leading contender to join Fox Sports in the wake of Joy Taylor's shock departure from the network, according to reports. Earlier this week it was revealed that Taylor, who had co-hosted FS1 sports talk show 'Speak' since September 2022, is out at Fox Sports after nearly a decade as part of a major shake-up that will see three programs cancelled. As well as Speak, FS1 is also said to be bringing morning shows 'Breakfast Ball' and 'The Facility' to an abrupt end. Taylor, 38, had worked on a number of different shows in her nine-year stint with Fox, yet the company has decided not to renew her expiring contract this summer - just months after she was accused of sleeping with colleagues to further her career and ignoring a co-worker's sexual harassment complaints in a bombshell lawsuit. Now FS1 will be on the hunt for new on-air talent, and Front Office Sports claims Adams, 39, is being lined up for new shows on the network's cable arm. The popular sportscaster and TV personality, who currently presents her own daily sports show 'Up & Adams' on FanDuel TV, is reportedly in the running to join Fox on the back of Taylor's exit. She has a wealth of experience after previously hosting NFL Network's Good Morning Football and special events for the Chicago Bears, while she has also worked on DAZN's broadcasting team for boxing events in the past. As well as Adams, male sports personalities Tony Reali and Max Kellerman are also believed to be on Fox's radar, with the network also in need of replacements for the likes of Emmanuel Acho, Keyshawn Johnson and LeSean McCoy - who are also out along with Taylor. Reali, the longtime host of canceled ESPN program 'Around the Horn', is quoted as saying by FOS that he's interested in 'absolutely everything.' Despite planning to be 'discerning' about his future, the 47-year-old reportedly has ambitions to work 'in both the TV and digital spaces at the same time.' 'I'm open to talking to anybody and everybody at all times,' Reali said, according to the report. Kellerman, meanwhile, has had a long and successful career in broadcasting most notably as a co-host on ESPN's First Take and as a boxing analyst and commentator for HBO. Taylor is taking her mind off of her Fox departure by soaking up the sun on a family vacation in The Bahamas this week. The former presenter took several racy snaps from the trup to the Exuma Islands, posing on a swing wearing just a blue bikini in one of the photos and enjoying a boat day with her sister-in-law, Monica, in another. Former ESPN stars Tony Reali (left) and Max Kellerman (right) are also said to be on Fox's radar Monica is married to Taylor's brother, Jason, the former NFL player. A bikini-clad Taylor left little to the imagination in a third snap as she stood in the crystal clear ocean. Later that day she shared a video on Instagram of herself in a tight-fitting blue workout set performing a series of exercises. Taylor could be seen jumping rope and carrying out arm workouts with a resistance band on an outdoor deck overlooking clear blue sea.

Ex-NFL QB Delivered Strong Message to Commanders Amid Drama
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The start of NFL training camp is around the corner, and the Washington Commanders still have a major question mark on the availability of Terry McLaurin. What's the holdup? Nobody can take a guess, but it's gotten to the point where former players are speaking out on the situation, demanding that the Commanders give the veteran wideout his money. The former Washington quarterback Joe Theismann is the latest to sound off on the situation. Read More: AFC Contender Named as Landing Spot for Commanders Star WR "That would be a major problem for all of us that appreciate what the Commanders have done, what Terry has done," Theismann said on 'Up & Adams' this week, regarding the thought of McLaurin reaching a point of no return with the Commanders. "His intangibles and his value to this football team are even more outweighed than his talent, which we know is extreme. He needs to be paid. He needs to be paid right away. We need to put this issue behind us as a football team. He is one of the leaders, and he's a guy that you can always count on." Terry McLaurin #17 of the Washington Commanders carries the ball for a touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys at Northwest Stadium on November 24, 2024 in Landover, wasn't long ago when former Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson spoke on the McLaurin situation and praised the veteran wideout for being one of the most consistent players at the position since landing in the NFL. "Pay the man because the man has been nothing but consistent," Johnson stated. "I don't know Terry very well, but from afar, the guy has been nothing but consistent for that organization. He's been a staple there in Washington for his whole career. He plays well. He steps up in big games, and I love watching the kid because he's always making plays." After his run at Ohio State, McLaurin entered the NFL Draft in 2019. He was drafted by Washington in the third round, with the 76th overall pick. From the jump, McLaurin was a handful for secondaries. He produced over 900 yards with seven touchdowns during his rookie season. Read More: Ex-NFL Star Cam Newton Asks Difficult Jayden Daniels Question Since then, McLaurin has had five-straight 1,000-yard seasons. During that stretch, he dealt with an organization that was turning over owners and quarterbacks who were cycling in and out. Last season, he landed some stability with the star quarterback Jayden Daniels getting under center. The result? McLaurin caught 82 passes for 1,096 yards and scored a career-high 13 touchdowns. He was a Pro Bowler for the second time in his career and earned All-Pro for the first time. With one season left on his current deal, McLaurin is ready to lock in long-term again. With the Commanders unwilling to do so before mandatory minicamp, McLaurin steered clear of participating. The Commanders still have time to get something done, but the former Super Bowl champion Joe Theismann wants to see his former team make it happen before it's too late. Patrick Mahomes reveals he's spoken to Tom Brady a ‘good amount' this offseason after Super Bowl flop
Patrick Mahomes has been leaning on a former NFL rival and future Hall of Famer this offseason. During an appearance Monday on FanDuel's 'Up & Adams' show, the Chiefs quarterback shared that he's conversed with seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady a 'good amount' as he prepares for his ninth season in the league. 'I've talked to Tom a good amount this offseason, and it's cool that he wants to give me advice, he doesn't have to be like that, he's such a good dude and I have so much respect for him and I'll take any advice he gives me,' Mahomes said. 6 Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady squared off multiple times, including Super Bowl 2021. AP Brady, 47, and Mahomes, 29, squared off six times before the former Patriots and Buccaneers quarterback called it a career in 2023 after 23 seasons. Brady, now preparing for his second season as Fox's lead NFL analyst, recently said that if there's one QB who can possibly replicate his success, it's Mahomes — a compliment the three-time Super Bowl winner doesn't take lightly. 6 Tom Brady won seven Super Bowls during his prolific career. Kay Adams' first pitch at Cubs game wasn't even close to what she wanted
FanDuel TV host Kay Adams said she wanted 'accuracy' when she threw out the first pitch at Wrigley Field before the Cubs-Guardians game Wednesday. However, it didn't go as planned for the host of the 'Up & Adams' show. Adams threw the ball near the first base line, and Chicago's mascot, Clark the Cub, had to run after it. Advertisement The Chicago native, who sported a Henry Rowengartner jersey from the Cubs-centric movie 'Rookie of the Year,' hugged Clark afterwards. She was a good sport about it and joked with some fans on X. Advertisement 3 Kay Adams threw out the first pitch at the July 2 Cubs game. Advertisement In a separate video, Adams explained that she was initially scheduled to throw the first pitch at Tuesday's Cubs game, but she missed it after getting a call to fly to Kansas City and interview Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. 'The Cubs being truly incredible were like, 'You know what, you can do it Wednesday,'' Adams said in the video ahead of Wednesday's game. 'I was scratched last night. A little elbow soreness. I don't know what my ERA is. 3 Kay Adams is pictured at the 2024 ESPY Awards held at the Dolby Theatre. Variety via Getty Images 'I have no power. I have withered to bone. I just want accuracy. I'm going to stand in front of the mound.' Advertisement When it comes to bad first pitches, Adams isn't in a club of her own. Last month, former Titans offensive lineman Taylor Lewan went viral for his awful first pitch at a Cardinals game. Lewan threw the ball near the first base on-deck circle where several people jumped out of the way. 'Juuuuuust a bit outside,' the Titans X account wrote at the time, referencing Uecker's call from the movie 'Major League.' 'My own team,' Lewan replied with a sad face emoji. The southpaw, who called it 'the worst day of my athletic career,' vowed to redeem himself. 50 Cent still gets trolled for his visit to Citi Field, where he couldn't help but laugh at his terrible first pitch attempt for the Mets in 2014.
