Former Beauty and the Geek contestant and model Tamika Chesser has been charged with the murder of Story on June 17, with police alleging she cut off his head. Officers have so far been unable to recover Story's head, with the wide-scale search for the Port Lincoln man's remains halted earlier this month. Police today revealed that information received by investigators and the use of specialist equipment had identified several additional search sites in and around Port Lincoln. 'In the days following the [alleged] murder, Major Crime detectives, local police, Water Operations Unit and the SA State Emergency Service conducted extensive searches around Port Lincoln without success,' Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke said.

Police have announced a fresh search for the remains of a man allegedly murdered by former Beauty and the Geek star Tamika Chesser. Parts of Julian Story's burned and dismembered body were found inside a Port Lincoln unit last month but his head has never been found. Police believe Ms Chesser, 34, murdered him around midnight on June 17 and then cut up his body and set it on fire two days later. A search for Mr Story's head was called off on July 1, days after Ms Chesser was charged with his murder, after searches of bushland, ocean and parks around the area were unsuccessful. Now, armed with fresh leads, police have relaunched their search. 'Detectives from major crime investigation branch and local Eyre Western police, with the assistance of local support services will conduct further searches at several locations over the coming days to locate the missing remains of murder victim Julian Story,' a police statement read. Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke said information received by the investigation team coupled with the use of specialist equipment had identified several additional search sites in and around Port Lincoln. 'In the days following the murder, Major Crime Detectives, local police, Water Operations Unit and the SA State Emergency Service conducted extensive searches around Port Lincoln without success,' Detective Superintendent Fielke said. 'New search areas have been identified and by undertaking these renewed searches, we hope to find Julian's missing remains, which will give comfort to his family and allow them to peacefully lay him to rest. 'Police have reviewed a significant amount of CCTV footage since the incident which has provided a number of investigational leads. We also appreciate the ongoing assistance the community of Port Lincoln has provided throughout the investigation.' Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

She appeared on the reality TV show Beauty and the Geek in 2010 and worked as a model and content creator since. Police continue to investigate Ms Chesser's movements in the week of the alleged murder. South Australia Police Credit: Supplied SES volunteers, police divers and local patrols spent days looking for all of Mr Story's remains across reserves, parks, ocean and bushland in and around Port Lincoln. Police will allege Ms Chesser murdered Mr Story at their unit complex in Port Lincoln about midnight on June 17, decapitated him and later set fire to his body on the afternoon of June 19. 'We know that after his alleged murder, Julian's body was dismembered and while I won't provide any further detail about that at this time, I can tragically say that we have not recovered the head of Julian Story,' Superintendent Fielke told reporters last month. 'I can only imagine, and I want you to imagine, the grief this news is causing Julian's family.' Ms Chesser was allegedly found at the apartment building in a 'catatonic and unresponsive' state when she was arrested, court documents read. She was taken to James Nash House, a psychiatric facility. Ms Chesser has also been charged with assaulting an emergency worker. She is scheduled to front court on July 31 for the assault case, and the murder charge is expected to be called in a higher court in December. Mental health helplines

A large-scale search has resumed for the missing remains of Julian Story, who was allegedly murdered and decapitated by his girlfriend in June. 'Several additional search sites' have been identified around the seaside town of Port Lincoln, South Australia, where Story had lived with former Beauty And The Geek star Tamika Chesser. Police will allege Story was murdered by Chesser, 34, on Tuesday June 17 — the day after his 39th birthday. Chesser was runner-up in the reality TV show Beauty And The Geek's 2010 season. Police allege Story was dismembered before Chesser set his remains on fire in the couple's bathroom. She he has since been charged with Story's murder. Story's head has not been found, despite previous searches. The latest search involves South Australia Police major crime investigators, and local support services. 'In the days following the murder, Major Crime detectives, local police, Water Operations Unit and the SA State Emergency Service conducted extensive searches around Port Lincoln without success,' Detective Superintendent Fielke said. 'New search areas have been identified and, by undertaking these renewed searches, we hope to find Julian's missing remains, which will give comfort to his family and allow them to peacefully lay him to rest. 'Police have reviewed a significant amount of CCTV footage since the incident which has provided a number of investigational leads. People have appealed for public assistance tracking Chesser's movements around the time of the alleged murder, and have released CCTV images of the dark clothing she was seen wearing while walking three dogs Police are appealing to local residents to review any CCTV or dashcam footage they have which may assist the investigation. Anyone with any information or CCTV is urged to contact the police. Chesser has been charged with murdering Story, disposing of human remains to pervert the course of justice and assaulting a police officer. She is due back in court in December.
