Made for Rs 1,597 crore, earned Rs…, this film became the world's most expensive horror film, still ruling OTT after a decade, has 7.0 IMDb rating, movie is …

There are horror films… and then there's World War Z. Released back in 2013, this chilling thriller took the world by storm—literally. And now, 12 years later, it still holds its ground on streaming platforms, refusing to fade away. The film isn't just a horror ride; it's a warning shot wrapped in chaos. A mysterious virus spreads fast across the globe, turning people into violent, fast-moving zombies. Amid all this destruction is one man, Gerry Lane, played by Brad Pitt, who risks it all to save what's left of the human race. Why has World War Z survived the test of time? Because it feels real. The panic. The fear. The desperation. The movie doesn't give you a moment to breathe, as Gerry travels from country to country chasing a cure, fighting undead armies and impossible odds. Directed by Marc Forster, World War Z combines tight storytelling, nerve-racking action, and eerie music to create a cinematic experience that still manages to shake viewers to their core. Who's in it and what makes it stand out? Besides Brad Pitt, the film features solid performances by Mireille Enos, Daniella Kertesz, and Peter Capaldi. But it's Pitt's intensity and vulnerability that make you root for him. The cinematography, editing, and zombie design take things a notch higher—these aren't your slow-moving zombies. These are fast, deadly, and terrifying. Numbers speak louder than screams Made on a whopping budget of around ₹1,597 crore ($190 million), the film earned more than ₹4,547 crore ($540 million) globally. It proved that even zombie thrillers, when done right, can smash box-office records. Still trending in 2025? World War Z first dropped on OTT in September 2013 via DVD and Blu-ray, and later hit Netflix, Paramount+, and other platforms. Even in 2025, it remains among Netflix's Top 10 most-watched films. The recent rise in zombie-themed shows has brought it back into conversation. Why you should watch it (Again) If you're into fast-paced thrillers, emotional arcs, or simply love zombie lore—this one's a must-watch. And yes, it's available in Hindi too.

'F1' races to $140M global debut, sets box office record for Brad Pitt and Apple Original Films

'F1' races to $140M global debut, sets box office record for Brad Pitt and Apple Original Films Apple Original Films' F1, distributed by Warner Bros, debuted to a global opening of $140 million—$85 million from international markets and $55 million from a three-day domestic weekend. This marks a new career best for Brad Pitt, surpassing the $112 million launch of World War Z. Strong audience response with an A CinemaScore and 92 per cent PostTrak rating supports continued momentum. The film opened to $25 million on Friday alone, just shy of Pitt's top opening. Premium formats, including IMAX, accounted for 58 per cent of domestic earnings. Notably, F1 outperformed previous racing-themed films, such as Ford v. Ferrari and Days of Thunder, at their openings. In contrast, M3GAN 2.0 opened to $10.4 million across 3,112 theatres, a lower result than projected. The Friday debut stood at $4.5 million. The sequel earned a B+ CinemaScore and 84 per cent PostTrak exit score, though early social media and critic reactions suggested weaker enthusiasm compared to the 2023 original. Current weekend rankings place F1 at number one, followed by How to Train Your Dragon at number two with $19 million, Elio at $10.8 million, and M3GAN 2.0 at number four. Other notable titles include 28 Years Later and Lilo & Stitch, with both continuing strong performance.

18 Movies That Make People Mad

Redditor @One_Shock_1643 recently asked Reddit: 'What movie absolutely pissed you off?' and boy, did people deliver. Here are some of the best answers, and FYI, some posts have been edited for clarity! 'Now You See Me. Dumbest fucking plot twist of my fucking life. Waste of a good cast. Truly can't believe they made another one coming out this year.' — Former-Complaint-336 'Forrest Gump. It's improbable, insulting, and has a skewed view of the world. Jenny comes closest to reality, but in a totally cliché way.' — Susuze2000 'Toy Story 4. Why do you have to ruin the perfect ending?' — sword-sandal493 'World War Z. Took one of my favorite novels and changed just about everything about it except the title.' — TripleSingleHOF '40 Days and 40 Nights, a sex 'comedy' starring Josh Hartnett. I put comedy in quotes because very little of it actually tried to be funny. Anyway, it ends with his character getting tied up and raped by an ex-girlfriend, who wins a bunch of money in an office pool for doing so. Then his current girlfriend breaks up with him for cheating on her. Suffice to say, the tone of this movie is all over the place.' — CritterJams 'Pretty Woman. I knew mothers who said it was their prepubescent daughter's favorite movie when it came out. Scary.' — PlaceTraditional6861 'Downsizing. Total bait & switch of a movie.' — SovietWalrus1 'Sweet Home Alabama. Girl lies and brings her new rich and well-connected fiancé all the way to Alabama just for her to say no to him at the altar.' — okeh_dude 'Shutter Island. Probably more so because the commercials said 'the twist you'll never see coming,' so I spent the entire movie trying to guess what the twist could be and came up with a million overthought possibilities. In the end, it was my very first guess that I dismissed because I thought it was too obvious. I was so mad. The marketing should have never said there was a twist in that one.' — JonathanTheZombieKid 'Reality Bites, I hated the Ethan Hawke hipster character, and identified more with Ben Stiller's yuppie. And the whole movie dated quick.' — jackstraw_65 'Orphan. The dad is so irritating.' — Difficult-Act-8237 'The Terminal. Just the worst fucking movie ever... just two hours of a bumbling Tom Hanks doing a shitty 'foreign man' imitation ala Andy Kauffman and the big mystery of the coffee can at the end? [There] were autographs of Jazz musicians in a photo he was completing for his dead father. Ugh it was so bland, innane and boring that you couldn't even make fun of the fucking thing MST3k style. Ugh fuck that movie!!' — bigpaparod 'Longlegs. What a mess of a movie. It's all over the place. It feels like a fan-made edit of an entire TV show that they added some random music to.' — Acceptable_Orange624 'La La Land. It just fucking sucked.' — i_luv_pooping 'Thunderbolts. Such a trash movie. The more I thought about it, the more I got pissed for spending money on it.' — Effective-Agent-6856 'I remember once watching The Road and when it finished just felt like I had wasted hours of my life.' — jessicanmorganbell 'A Beautiful Mind. I'm an economist. How the hell could they fuck up their explanation of Nash equilibrium? Hey, Howard, get a real fucking economist to explain the man's central contribution to the fucking field he won a fucking Nobel fucking Prize for rather than making up some fucking bullshit.' — ikonoqlast And finally... 'Pretty much every Disney live-action remake.' — DazedLogic What movies make you irrationally mad? Let me know in the comments below!
