SBI announces scheduled downtime for UPI users on July 22, 2025: Check timing and other details
ET Online SBI UPI downtime State Bank of India (SBI) informed its customers about service interruptions and scheduled maintenance affecting its digital transaction platforms. These updates are important for SBI users who mainly rely on Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and related digital banking services for their financial transactions, as per SBI social media post. On July 22, 2025, SBI will conduct a scheduled maintenance activity on its UPI services. As a result, UPI services will be temporarily unavailable from 00:15 hrs to 01:00 hrs IST. Despite this temporary disruption, SBI customers can continue to use UPI Lite Services for uninterrupted digital payments during the maintenance window. Tired of EPF passbook site errors? Download and launch BHIM SBI PAY. Tap on UPI LITE section. The app will prompt you to load the fund in UPI Lite. Post successful loading the fund in it, the UPI lite will be enabled on the app. UPI LITE limit As per SBI's website, 'Currently customer can add maximum Rs. 2000/-. Customer can make maximum Rs. 500/- per transaction, with a total cumulative usage per day: Rs 4,000 (daily limit). Maximum balance which can be made available in UPI LITE account at any time: Rs 2,000.' Recent technical issues affecting SBI servicesOn July 18, 2025, SBI experienced intermittent disruptions with multiple services, including UPI, IMPS, YONO, and NEFT due to a technical issue. The bank reported that these services would fully resume by 01:30 hrs IST on the same advised customers to use ATM services and UPI Lite as alternatives while regular services were being restored. SBI Customers, Take Note: YONO, UPI, ATM Services To Be Unavailable On 16th July
Last Updated: SBI has recommended customers complete all important transactions in advance, preferably by the evening of 15th July. If you need fund transfers or bill payments, plan ahead. The State Bank of India has announced that several of its digital services will be temporarily unavailable on 16th July 2025, due to scheduled technical maintenance. The downtime will occur between 1:05 AM and 2:10 AM, a 65-minute window during which customers may face service disruptions across UPI platforms (including apps like YONO, PhonePe, and Google Pay), ATM withdrawals, and internet banking.
