Akshay Kumar vs Shah Rukh Khan: Clash happened 5 times between them and the winner is...

In the world of Bollywood, box office clashes are always exciting for fans, especially when two big stars go head-to-head. Among the most talked-about rivalries is that between Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan. Over the years, their films have been released on the same day not once, but five times, making headlines each time. Audiences and trade experts have closely followed these showdowns to see who comes out on top. While both have strong fan bases and box office pull, one actor has clearly had the upper hand in most of these clashes. Let's take a look at the numbers. The Beginning Of The Epic Clash Shah Rukh Khan's film 'Maya Memsaab' and Akshay Kumar's film 'Waqt Hamara Hai' were released together in the year 1993. On the first day, 'Maya Memsaab' collected Rs 4 lakh and 'Waqt Hamara Hai' collected Rs 25 lakh. However, if we talk about the total collection, 'Waqt Hamara Hai' surpassed 'Maya Memsaab'. Clash Number 2 After this, in the year 1997, there was a clash between Shah Rukh Khan's 'Yes Boss' and Akshay Kumar's film 'Daava'. 'Yes Boss' collected Rs 11.33 crore and 'Dawa' collected Rs 3.36 crore. After their final run concluded in theatres, 'Yes Boss' emerged as a clear winner. Clash Number 3 In the year 2004, Shah Rukh Khan's epic 'Veer-Zaara' and Akshay Kumar's critically acclaimed 'Aitraaz' were released together. 'Veer-Zaara' collected Rs 41.86 crore and 'Aitraaz' collected Rs 15.58 crore. 'Veer-Zaara' featured Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Rani Mukerji in leading roles, while 'Aitraaz' included Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, and Kareena Kapoor. Clash Number 4 In 2006, Shah Rukh Khan's cult classic 'Don' clashed with Akshay Kumar's 'Jaan-e-Mann'. Salman Khan was also with Akshay in 'Jaan-e-Mann'. This time too, Shah Rukh Khan defeated Akshay Kumar, even by a big margin. SRK starrer earned over Rs 4 crore net on its opening day, while 'Jaan-E-Mann' earned Rs 2.43 crore net. After its final run, 'Don' grossed Rs 50 crore in India, while Akshay Kumar starrer grossed Rs 25 crore. The Final Clash Till Date Shah Rukh Khan's 'Chennai Express' and Akshay Kumar's 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara' were released on 15 August. 'Chennai Express' collected Rs 227.13 crore and 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara' collected Rs 61 crore, and became a huge box office dud. These figures clearly signify that this epic clash was won by King Khan, as their last clash was considered in 2013. However, the two superstars also had averted clash with a difference of week in 2017, as SRK's 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' was released with Akshay's 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.'

When Juhi Chawla spoke about strained relationship with Shah Rukh Khan after their production house wrapped up: 'My nature of work changed..'

Juhi Chawla and Shah Rukh Khan make one of the best onscreen pairs who worked together in movies like 'Darr', 'Yes Boss' among others. They took their friendship to professional level where they were also co-partners as they launched their production house. Meanwhile, they continue to still co-own 'Kolkata Knight Riders' at the IPL (Indian Premiere League). In an old interview, Juhi had spoken about the testing times during the initial years of buying KKR and also when the films produced by their production house weren't doing well. Juhi opened up on how it also affected her relationship with Shah Rukh as they had to wrap up their production house. She said in an old interview with Rajeev Masand, "Those were trying times when during first initial years, KKR would come at the bottom of the list and my kids would cry saying, 'What is this team you have?' And they would go to the Dhirubhai Ambani International School and it wasn't easy for them. " She revealed why they had to fold up their production house and said, 'We made Ashoka that won a lot of critical acclaim but didn't do well at box office. Then they started Chalte Chalte. I was helping behind-the-scene but then I was expecting at that time and I had to go away and I was in London for a lot of the time. They made the film. After that…I don't know why. Then Aziz Mirza lost his wife and was heart broken and then, I don't know why, but we didn't make more films in Dreamz because we needed Aziz ji to come up with more scripts.' It also impacted her equation with SRK as she reasoned, "At that time my work changed and my family was growing, I was moving in another direction. Earlier, we were on set together and then you work behind-the-scene but later you are further away from each other. Also, my nature of work changed, I was suddenly started doing films like 3 Deewarein, My Brother…Nikhil, Jhankaar Beats and others.'
