Penn and Meghann fan themselves as they film romcom You Deserve Each Other in sweltering NYC
and Meghann Fahy used fans to stop them overheating while filming their new romantic comedy You Deserve Each Other in New York City, on Friday. The actor, 38, and the actress, 35, shared a laugh between takes in the sweltering heat. They both held a mini portable fan while on a break from filming. The pair were seen carrying a stack of letters as they strolled through the streets of Brooklyn on Saturday. The movie - which is based on the same novel by Sarah Hogle - is directed by Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn, both writers on the hit rom-coms Never Been Kissed and He's Just Not That Into You. The synopsis reads: 'Described as a lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers rom-com, it follows Naomi and Nick, a couple who are about to get married and live happily ever after. 'Except for one thing: they've fallen completely out of love. 'With the wedding rapidly approaching and its pressure mounting, they both resolve to secretly push the other into calling off the wedding using all means at their disposal – pranks, sabotage, and all-out emotional warfare.' Filming is rumored to have began earlier this month in New York City while a release date remains unknown. The enemies-to-lovers romcom is produced by Amazon MGM Studios with the cast including the likes of Natalie Morales and Justin Long, according to Deadline. The role: The pair were seen carrying a stack of letters as in Brooklyn Fifth Season is producing the movie alongside Anthony Bregman and Peter Cron of Likely Story. EP is Caroline Jaczko. Natalie will play the role of Cassie while Justin will be playing Austin Frazier. First published in 2020 by Penguin imprint G.P. The YOU star, 38, and The Bold Type actress, 35, were all smiles as they shared a laugh between takes. The pair fought New York's heat as they both each held a mini portable fan while on a break from filming. Meghann looked stunning in a chic white top with ruffled sleeves teamed with high-waist denim. The actress opted for cosy white trainers but gave an elegant touch with dainty jewellery, while tidying her blonde locks in an up-do. Guy Ritchie Exits Amazon MGM Studios ‘Road House 2'
We're hearing that Guy Ritchie is no longer directing Amazon MGM Studios' Road House 2, the sequel to the Jake Gyllenhaal 2024 movie which pulled in over 50M viewers on Prime Video and was one of the most-watched pics on the service. That number eventually rose to 80M in the pic's first eight weeks on the OTT service. No reason was given as to why Ritchie un-attached himself. Road House 2 remains an important priority for Amazon MGM Studios and the plan is to keep this production on track to shoot this fall. A search for a new director is underway, and sources say casting continues. Kyle MacLachlan, Justin Long Join Penn Badgley, Meghann Fahy in Amazon MGM's ‘You Deserve Each Other'
Kyle MacLachlan and Justin Long have joined Penn Badgley and Meghann Fahy in You Deserve Each Other, an Amazon MGM romantic comedy based on the novel by Sarah Hogle. The feature, budgeted in the mid-$20 million range, is in production in New York with Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn, the writers who have been behind rom-com hits Never Been Kissed, and He's Just Not That Into You, directing. Also joining the call sheet are Ana Gesteyer, Timothy Busfield, Delaney Rowe, Lisa Gilroy, and Alyssa Limperis. Fifth Season is one of the entities producing the feature. Described as a lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers rom-com, You Deserve Each Other follows Naomi and Nick, a couple who are about to get married and live happily ever after except for one thing: They've fallen completely out of love. With the wedding rapidly approaching and its pressure mounting, they both resolve to secretly push the other into calling off the wedding using all means at their disposal — pranks, sabotage and all-out emotional warfare. (Don't worry, they fall back in love along the way. Long will play Badgley's Nick's best friend, while MacLachlan is the character's father. Veteran actor MacLachlan is best known for his work on David Lynch's Twin Peaks series and movies, and for appearing on Portlandia. He also appeared on Amazon's hit series Fallout. The actor is repped by UTA and Management 360. Long, whose body of work ranges from Galaxy Quest and Jeepers Creepers to Kevin Smith's Tusk, made waves with a surprising turn in Zach Cregger's cult hit Barbarian. He also appeared on the first season of Disney+'s Goosebumps. Long is repped by IAG and Yorn Levine.
