Police appeal for witnesses following crash in Deiniolen
The collision took place just before 4pm last Friday afternoon (June 27) in the Deiniolen area. It involved two vehicles, a Chevrolet Matiz and a Ford Transit and occurred on the A4244 between the Ty Mawr Tearooms and Beran Garage. The male driver and female passenger of the Chevrolet and the male driver of the Ford were taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital in Bangor. The male driver sustained serious injuries and has been transferred to Stoke Hospital. North Wales Police are now appealing for witnesses following the crash. A spokesperson said: "We are appealing for witnesses and information following a road traffic collision near Deiniolen, Gwynedd on Friday afternoon (June 27th). "Shortly before 4pm our Control Room received a report of a two-vehicle head on collision involving a Chevrolet Matiz and a Ford Transit on the A4244 between the Ty Mawr Tearooms and Beran Garage." TOP STORIES TODAY They added; "Both the male driver and female passenger from the Chevrolet and the male driver from the Ford Transit were taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor by ambulance. The male driver of the Chevrolet sustained serious injuries and has since been transferred to hospital in Stoke. The female passenger sustained minor injuries and was later discharged from hospital. The driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries also." PC Daniel Owen of the Roads Crime Unit said: 'The investigation to establish the cause of the collision is underway and I am appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have been travelling in the area around the time of the collision and who may have dash cam footage, to contact us immediately.' Driver killed and three seriously hurt in crash
An elderly driver has died and three more people are seriously injured following a car crash in Gwynedd, police said. Emergency services were called to a collision between two cars outside the ambulance station on Beach Road, Bangor, just before 13:00 BST on Tuesday. The driver of a Toyota Yaris was air-lifted to hospital in Stoke but died during the early hours of Wednesday, North Wales Police have confirmed. The female passenger was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital in Bangor where she remains in a critical condition. Two female occupants of a Vauxhall Vivaro were also taken to hospital where they are still being treated for serious injuries. The road was closed for several hours on Tuesday for a police investigation. Police have also appealed for information or any dashcam footage.
