ZTE Launches Children Care Charity Campaign in Thailand
Bangkok, July 29, 2025 — ZTE Corporation ( / a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, has successfully concluded its charity initiative "Warm Little Hearts, Light Up Bright Future", reaffirming its commitment to corporate social responsibility in Thailand. The initiative saw ZTE donate essential supplies and digital connectivity solutions worth 1 million THB to a Public charity organisation, Baan Nokkamin Foundation, to support underprivileged children across the country. As a key partner in Thailand's 4G and 5G infrastructure rollout, working closely with major operators such as AIS, TrueMove, and DTAC, ZTE has consistently aligned its technological expertise with social impact. The latest campaign reflects the company's "Tech for Good" philosophy, leveraging innovation to empower vulnerable communities and nurture future generations. The year 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of China-Thailand diplomatic relations, with both nations having achieved fruitful cooperation across economic, trade, and cultural domains. At this significant milestone, ZTE launched a charitable donation program specifically targeting underprivileged children and vulnerable groups in Thailand, aiming to enhance their access to education, healthcare, and digital connectivity. In June 2025, ZTE and VST ECS (Thailand) Co., Ltd. donated 20 ZTE nubia A35e smartphones with annual SIM packages to Pakayon Village in Phetchaburi Province. The contribution brought first-time mobile connectivity to a remote Karen community lacking access to electricity, marking a small but significant step toward digital inclusion. Building on this momentum, ZTE launched the "Care for Orphanage Children" initiative in July, in collaboration with the Baan Nokkamin Foundation, a public charity organisation that operates three branches across Thailand. This foundation provides foster family-style care for orphans, nursery care, educational support, skill development, and health and hygiene management support to over 800 vulnerable children." Following consultations with Chairat Midchid, fundraiser of the foundation, ZTE identified urgent supply needs of the organisation's Bangkok branch. With complimentary logistics support from Sinotrans Thailand, ZTE promptly initiated a 1-million-THB donation programme, culminating in a ceremony held on July 9 at Baan Nokkamin Foundation's Bangkok Children's Home. ZTE Thailand executives, including CEO Yan Changzhi, CMO Huang Wulong, CTO Wang Fei, and other members, joined with Surachai Sanmi, Director of Baan Nokkamin Foundation, and over 20 children for the occasion. Each child received a personalised gift bag containing socks, toys, and a symbolic Year of the Snake mystery box figurine, offered as a gesture of encouragement, wishing the children wisdom and agility as they pursue their futures. This initiative underscores ZTE's commitment and responsibility as a global corporate citizen, while representing our active contribution to Thai society.
