'My age became the biggest…': Boman Irani on how his age shaped his Bollywood journey
In a world of glitz and glamour, where people are obsessed with youth and overnight fame, there is an actor who is Bollywood's glorious exception — a man who arrived late but left early impressions. He is none other than Boman Irani. For Boman, before the lights, camera, and rolling tape, his life revolved around a different lens — the one on his camera. However, when he started his journey in Bollywood with the film Josh in 2000, he left everyone's jaws dropped. Over the years, he became part of superhit films such as Munna Bhai MBBS, Don, 3 Idiots, Happy New Year, and more. Now, Boman is all set to feature in his next project Detective Sherdil on Zee5 Global, which stars Diljit Dosanjh, Diana Penty, Banita Sandhu, Ratna Pathak Shah, and more. In a recent exclusive conversation with Boman talked about his upcoming film and also addressed the pressure of being a 'late boomer' in Bollywood. When we asked him whether starting his career at 44 ever made him feel the pressure of entering the industry in his 40s — given the fact that Bollywood is an industry where youth is often equated with success, the actor replied, 'My age has been my advantage. People have always given a plus point for being and reinventing myself as an actor, writer, and a director as the years have gone by. So why should age have anything to do with my skills? My mind is youthful, and I'm happy about it!' Coming back to Detective Sherdil, Boman shared insights about his role and screen time. With the trailer being released, Boman's character is shown as a rich head of the family who gets murdered in the first scene, leaving audiences curious about what comes next. Talking about the role, Boman said, 'You are right, pehle hi scene mein Mr. Bhati (my character) gets murdered. But through the whole investigation, in the scenes where characters are being interrogated, he keeps coming through the film. He's right there till the end. Though it is not a very big role, I am happy to do it.' He further added, 'Dekho, role ke length se main agar apna career judge karta toh main kuch nahi karta na life mein. So people have to understand that despite roles being small, you have to enjoy it.' Meanwhile, Boman also made a powerful debut at Cannes 2025 to represent his film Tanvi The Great. For the last two decades, Boman has been enthralling his fans, and the audience wants to see more of him in future films!

'He is not a method actor, but...': Priya Bapat reveals Nawazuddin Siddiqui's working style in Costao
Priya Bapat, a famous and known face in Marathi cinema, is making all the noise in the Hindi industry. Priya, who first appeared with a brief role in Munna Bhai M.B.B.S in Hindi cinema, has established herself as one of the renowned actors on OTT with shows like City of Dreams, Rafuchakkar, Raat Jawaan Hai, and more. Priya's recent project Costao has finally hit the OTT platform Zee5 Global. The actress is sharing the screen with the very versatile Nawazuddin Siddiqui. In a recent conversation with Priya opened up about her experience sharing the screen with Nawaz and how he is not a method actor but someone who has his own unique ways to work. When Priya was asked about her experience working with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and her learnings, the actress said, 'First of all, he is very cooperative. Not just that, he is extremely down to earth and humble. Maine ek bhi din Nawaz sir ko van mein baithe hue nahi dekha hai. Like, he would always come and sit with us on the set. He would rehearse multiple times, and then he would just do a marking rehearsal and go for a take, because he doesn't want to lose that naturality of the character and the scene. Also, he is very punctual. I haven't seen a day when Nawaz sir would get late.' Take a look here: While talking about her learnings, Priya mentioned that Nawaz is someone who likes to improvise a lot. He is not that actor who would learn the script. Instead, he will read it, improvise it, and go for a shot. The Rafuchakkar fame also opened up about Siddiqui not being a method actor. She said, 'As much as I have seen his work, I thought he would be a method actor. But I realised that he has a different process. His method process is unique and like I said, he is a very free-flowing kind of person. Aise nahi lagta ki yeh bohot pre-decide karke aaye hain .' She further added, 'He is just very free-flowing and he also improvises a lot. So he has his own unique beauty. And, I think this is a very nice quality as it gives you honesty on screen. You don't really decide and then react in front of the screen, instead it's way more natural.' Meanwhile, the screenplay of Costao has been crafted by Bhavesh Mandalia and Meghna Srivastava, while the film is jointly produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Shyam Sunder, Faizuddin Siddiqui, Bhavesh Mandalia, and Sejal Shah, under the banners of Bhanushali Studios, Bombay Fables Motion Pictures, and Side Hero Entertainment.

Sanya Malhotra on unfair expectations from women in society
Actress Sanya Malhotra, who will be playing the role of an Indian housewife in her upcoming film Mrs, reflected on the disparities between men and women in society. Mrs is slated to release on the OTT platform Zee5 Global on February 7. It is directed by Arati Kadav. It narrates a tale of a talented dancer whose life takes a dramatic turn after she gets married into a male-dominated household. In interaction with ANI on Tuesday, Malhotra opened up about the nature of society which asks women to give up on their jobs after the birth of a child in a marriage. "From us women, there are a lot of expectations. It is very natural nowadays that a woman should leave a job after giving birth to a child. But the child is of both right? It's both the members' responsibility. A good balance is what we need. Our characters may not be able to do but there are many examples. People should learn from them," said Malhotra. Kadav also expressed her views, saying: "Why do women have to be homely and adjust and do those things while a man has to flourish after marriage because he has the support of the women? If a man gets a good girl, then his life blossoms. First mother takes care, then a wife should take care. Why this thinking?" Malhotra, who will be next seen in the family drama genre, has worked in movies such as Jawan, Dangal, Kathal, and Pagglait. The actress credits this achievement to her love for learning new things and a constant urge to challenge herself. "I don't like to put myself in a box. I have always taken bold steps. I love learning new things. I am actually very relaxed in life but when it comes to film I will be like I want to try everything," said Malhotra. The Dangal actress also hinted at her upcoming projects and said, "This year you will see me doing a variety of roles. In Sunny Sanskarai I am doing a role which I have never done before. I like challenging myself and it's important to keep challenging yourself."
