Public warned over fake AI TikTok videos of Sultan of Pahang
KUANTAN: The Pahang Palace has identified several TikTok accounts disseminating artificial intelligence (AI)-generated videos featuring an image resembling the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
These fabricated videos, which falsely depict the Sultan of Pahang speaking, have been circulated by multiple accounts allegedly offering public assistance.
The Kesultanan Pahang Facebook page, in a posting, wrote that the AI-generated clips have been widely shared through accounts using names such as datuk_abdul_majid, datokfahrolaziz07, and datuk_abdul_majid7.
"The public is advised not to share these videos, click on any links, or trust the information presented, and to immediately report any suspicious content to the authorities.
"All the videos are false and fabricated.
"They misuse the Sultan of Pahang's image for fraudulent purposes in an attempt to deceive the public. His Royal Highness(Al-Sultan Abdullah) does not own any social media accounts," the statement read.
The palace stressed that all official announcements, activities, and royal decrees are only disseminated through the only verified 'Kesultanan Pahang' social media account on Facebook, which currently has around 725,000 followers.
On other platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, and X (formerly Twitter), only the name "Kesultanan Pahang" is used and the official website of the Pahang Palace is
The public has been urged to remain vigilant against cyber fraud and to refrain from spreading false or misleading content.
