Man narrowly escapes death in Butterworth shooting

(Facebook pic) PETALING JAYA : A man in Sungai Nyior, Butterworth, Penang, narrowly escaped death this evening when shots were fired at his four-wheel-drive vehicle by an unidentified assailant. Sinar Harian reported that in the 5.40pm incident, the man in his 40s was on his way to pick up his son from school. The portal quoted a source as saying the man was approached by two other men, who then fired several shots at the window of his vehicle. However, the man did not suffer any injuries. Based on pictures of the incident on social media, at least five shots hit the window of the victim's vehicle. Police have yet to release a statement on the matter.

The assailant added that he was under the influence of drugs. Reports also said that the child was fleeing from Iran as the regional conflict was escalating. Chinese woman survives 22 stabs in knife attack, breast implants stop fatal injuries
A woman miraculously survived a brutal knife attack by a stranger after her breast implants shielded her from a potentially fatal wound. The shocking attack in southeastern China has triggered widespread concern over public safety. The incident happened on May 22 at The MixC Shopping Mall in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, when the 30-year-old victim, surnamed Ma, was ambushed while getting into her car. Ma said the assailant forced his way into the front seat and threatened her with a knife. Despite her cries for help, no one responded. The man demanded that Ma pay for the parking before forcing her to drive out of the shopping centre and take him to a neighbouring county, Tongxiang. Chinese tourist stabbed in Kyoto, assailant still at large
Japanese police say a Chinese tourist was stabbed on a street in Kyoto on Friday before the assailant fled the scene. The attack on the 37-year-old Chinese man occurred at around 8 p.m. in Kyoto's Shimogyo Ward. It is believed the assailant stabbed the man with a sharp object. The victim was reportedly conscious when he arrived at the hospital where he was found to have suffered non-life threatening injuries to his upper body. The man was visiting Kyoto on a sightseeing trip, and apparently got into a quarrel with the assailant after eating at a nearby restaurant. Police say the assailant measured about 1.75 meters tall, and was wearing glasses and a white T-shirt. The assailant and victim reportedly did not know each other. They are searching for the attacker on suspicion of attempted murder. The attack took place near Kiyomizu-gojo station on the Keihan Railway Line where there is a concentration of hotels and condominiums.
