Lewis Capaldi supported by celebrity friends after emotional Glastonbury return

Lewis Capaldi's emotional surprise return to Glastonbury saw the Scottish singer receive an influx of support from the celebrity world two years on from his last performance An emotional Lewis Capaldi was supported by a wave of celebrity friends as he made a surprise return to Glastonbury. The Scottish singer returned to Worthy Farm two years after he last performed at the festival. The Someone You Loved singer struggled to finish his set last timeout, with his voice faltering in a touching message to the crowd. At the time, he told them: "Glastonbury, I'm really sorry. I'm a bit annoyed with myself." The crowd soon took over the vocals of Someone You Loved. "I feel like I'll be taking another wee break over the next couple of weeks. So you probably won't see much of me for the rest of the year, maybe even. But when I do come back and when I do see you, I hope you're still up for watching us." ‌ And today, after telling the crowd "second time's a charm," Lewis was able to complete the song two years on. Following his emotional set, Lewis took to Instagram to share a clip of the two performances merged together. ‌ In the touching clip, it showed the struggle of 2023 before a teary-eyed Lewis looked on after taking to the stage again today. He captioned his upload: "Glastonbury it's so incredible to be back, thank you so much for having me x" And his video was immediately met with a wave of support. Among those sharing a message with the star was former footballer Alan Shearer, who simply said: "Love it," alongside clapping hands emojis. McFly's Danny Jones also said: "Epic maaaaaate so good to see you back," while Sam Fender labelled it the "return of the king". ‌ Paddy McGuinness was also on hand to compliment his efforts, calling him the governor, while ex-Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall responded with a love heart emoji. Lewis was also supported backstage after his gig. Matty Healy was seen recording a message for some fans backstage to send his support to the Scottish star. A source attending Glastonbury told the Mirror: 'I heard him say 'really pleased he is here and I wish him well" ‌ Lewis' return comes hours after he released a new song called Survive. As he shared a post on Instagram announcing the new tune, he captioned it: "It's been a while." The new song is full of emotion with lyrics including lines such as "I swear to God I'll survive" and "I'm going to get up and live until the day that I die." It marks his first new release since stepping out of the spotlight because of his mental health. And as he performed it to the Glastonbury crowd he cried as he began to sing. He revealed that his one goal was to get back on stage at Glastonbury as he paid tribute to the fans. At the end of the song, he struggled to get through the track, with the emotion clearly a lot for him as he sang those final words with passion.

Jesy Nelson updates fans with rare glimpse of partner Zion Foster and twins

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Jesy Nelson has melted hearts with an endearing clip of her partner Zion Foster and their tiny newborn daughter engaging in a playful dance, as the couple's twin daughters, recently discharged from hospital, settle into home life. Former band member of Little Mix, Jesy, who embraced motherhood for the first time last month following an extremely tough pregnancy, posted on her Instagram stories on Friday morning. The charming video captured 25-year-old singer Zion tenderly singing to one of his baby girls on their bed, while he demonstrated some lively dad moves and Jesy chuckled along in the background. Just a week prior, Jesy shared the uplifting news that her baby twins had made it to their family home for the first time. The ex-Little Mix vocalist introduced her daughters, named Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster, to the world on May 18. The little ones came prematurely, born at just over 31 weeks, amidst a risk-laden pregnancy troubled by twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome. The 'Mine' singer spent considerable time hospitalised after requiring emergency surgery to safeguard her unborn children. With evident pride, Jesy disclosed that she and her daughters have returned home, just shy of a month since they were born, making it back in time for her own birthday celebration. In an Instagram post shared last week, the songstress uploaded a snapshot cradling her girls at home, appending the heartfelt words: "My babies made it home for my birthday," reports the Mirror. In May, Jesy Nelson shared the heartwarming news with her followers that her little ones had arrived "healthy and fighting strong" despite being born prematurely. More recently, she opened up about her daunting time spent in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with her daughters. In an emotional online message, she disclosed: "Nothing or no one will ever be able to prepare you as a parent for NICU." Describing the harrowing experience, she continued, "It's the most scary overwhelming feeling of emotions not being able to feel like you can protect your babies. Naturally as a mother you just want to hold them and comfort them when they cry but you can't because there are what feels like a million wires coming out of them. Tubes and masks in the way with people poking and prodding them, it breaks your heart into a million pieces." Jesy, known for her hit 'Black Magic', couldn't hide her elation when her children were finally reunited after their treatments. She went on to say: "Having them reunited for the first time ever today was the most magical feeling I will never be able to describe. The strongest little girls I've ever known who really do have the most inspiring story to tell." The former Little Mix star, Jesy, and 25 year old musician Zion have been in an intermittent relationship since January 2022. Throughout Jesy's pregnancy and hospitalisation, Zion has been a constant source of support by her side. In early May, the couple sparked rumours of a secret wedding when Zion posted a series of black and white snaps on social media, showing him and Jesy grinning and chuckling together in bed. Jesy fuelled speculation by commenting "My husband" beneath the photos, which sent fans into a frenzy of excitement.

Danny Dyer candidly admits wife Joanne 'deserved better' as he opens up about split and his drug-fuelled three-day benders

Danny Dyer has admitted his wife Joanna Mas 'deserved better' as he opened up about their split and his drug-fuelled three-day benders in the 'most open and honest' interview of his life. The actor, 47, gets a grilling in ITV 's new show The Assembly, which sees a celebrity face questions from a group of autistic, neurodivergent and learning disabled people, forcing them to cast aside their media training, with no topic off limits. Each episode of the series sees a follows a different celebrity, with Match Of The Day presenter Gary Lineker, 64, Doctor Who star David Tennant, 54, and ex-Little Mix singer Jade Thirlwall, 32, also in the hot seat. In a new clip from Saturday's upcoming episode, one woman asked Danny about his split from Joanne. She said: 'When Jo kicked you out she emptied your shared joint bank account, do you still have a shared bank account now?' A stunned Danny joked that he was about to give her a hug until she hit him with the stinging question. The actor, 47, gets a grilling in ITV 's new show The Assembly, which sees a celebrity face questions from a group of autistic, neurodivergent and learning disabled people, forcing them to cast aside their media training, with no topic off limits He then openly admitted to being kicked out, as he confessed: 'I was a p***k and she deserved better. 'Sometimes I'd go out, get off my head, take drugs; I wouldn't come home for three days. 'She had every right to throw me out. She controls everything now.' Danny and Joanne got together in 1992, and have three children - Love Island's Dani, 27, daughter Sunnie, 17, and son Arty, six. Their on-off relationship was marred with cheating allegations in the past, although they eventually got back together for good and married in 2016 after Joanne proposed a year before. Back in 2000, Danny's wild behaviour culminated in Jo catching him cheating on her, causing her to kick him out and clear their bank account. In an interview with The Times in 2023, Danny recalled the moment he got caught cheating on Jo, and insisted he 'doesn't blame her' for changing her phone number, clearing their account, and stopping him from seeing his eldest daughter Dani. He confessed: 'I didn't blame her. It was a mad period. I do now realise what's important to me are my family. They are everything. 'I tried to fill it with the drink and drugs and doing stupid things. I was a lost soul. I had a 'f*** it' button and I would destroy relationships before I could be left'. Last year, he admitted that Jo has stood by him 'through a lot of s**t', adding that she didn't sign up to a life of fame. Speaking on Elizabeth Day's podcast How To Fail, he said: 'Well, I've been with the same woman since I was 13. It's a journey. It's so rare, that. 'Because if you think about who you was at 13 and who you are now, to grow with somebody at the same time, at the same rate, and then you throw fame in the mix, and what happened with me, which she never wanted, and she came along for this ride with me, both from the same council estate. 'She didn't really sign up for that, and then, on her course, it f****d my head up when I became really famous, and I didn't quite know what to do with it and I suppose she stood by me for a lot of s**t and had to be very patient with me. 'And of course I do believe in the marriage vows and sickness and health and for better for worse. 'So it's hard to stay in a relationship for that long with the press attention and with me being a pr**k for many years, because I was, I hold my hands up, I lost the plot for many years.' He continued: 'I didn't quite know who I was and I suppose she had to suffer all that on a national level. 'I love her with all my heart. You know, she challenges me every day. She's kept me very grounded. I'll tell you that now. 'She came to watch me in a play once and I came off stage and she went, yeah, just don't get carried away with yourself. I thought that's what I need to hear.' In his Assembly questioning, Danny also got candid about how he copes with his anxiety, explaining that meditation and therapy is what has helped him become a better person. He said: 'I needed to learn what was wrong with me because I was acting, I was earning money - I had everything going for me, but I still wasn't happy. I learned that it was every strong male role model I had either left me or died.' He admitted that the coping strategies he developed when he was younger did more harm than good, saying: 'Whenever I got close to somebody who I loved and I looked up to I'd press the 'f*** it' button before they could die. 'I thought 'I'll beat you to it' which is a weird way of thinking. I needed to learn some tools, so [therapy] was good for me.'
