'This is a must-have': This new bronzing serum is so good people are throwing out their powder bronzers - and it's 15% off right now
There's nothing better than that dewy, glowing skin you get after a tan in the summer. But what if we told you that you could have that sunkissed look all year long? Indie Lee's new bronzing drops are just the product you need for glowing skin, and right now, you can take an exclusive 15 percent off with code ILBD2025 entered at checkout, valid for a limited time only. This lightweight serum packs nourishing ingredients like avocado oil, niacinamide, squalane, aloe, and vitamin E. These will not just give you that sunkissed, dewy look but will also hydrate, plump, and improve your skin's texture. Daily use will also reduce the appearance of pores over time, according to the brand. These bronzing drops are subtle, too, providing a natural glow without overpowering your skin. That said, it is buildable in case you want a more prominent glow come nighttime. It works well for all skin tones and glides and blends easily across your skin. Plus, it's not just for your face — you can use this anywhere on your body for a natural glow (I like adding a little bronzer on my collarbones, for example). To use, you can apply these bronzing drops directly to your skin, or you can mix it in with your favorite moisturizer. Both will provide that much-needed glow your skin was missing. It's also free of any parabens and is safe to use on sensitive skin. The product is also Leaping Bunny certified, which means the brand does not test on animals. While it only recently launched, there are already a few reviews on the company's website. 'I am a HUGE Indie Lee fan and this bronzer does not disappoint! It's smooth, it's a natural glow, and a perfect partner to my squalane oil. This is a must-have in your toolbox,' says one shopper. Another adds: 'This is the first time I've ever tried a liquid bronzer and I love it. I'm quite pale, so it's very easy to apply TOO much bronzer when it's in powder form. But the silky, serum-y texture of the drops allows me to customize my coverage for my fair skin.' There really isn't a better product to add a little shine to your complexion. Shop the Bronzing Drops for 15 percent off with code ILBD2025 added at checkout — trust us, you won't be disappointed.

Yes, Black Girls Tan Too — And The Beauty Industry Is Finally Taking Notice
When you think of self-tanning, chances are you're not picturing a Black woman reaching for bronzing mousse. But that narrative is shifting—and fast. St. Tropez and Peta Jane self-tanning products pictured with Black women embracing glowing skin Across TikTok and Instagram, a new wave of Black and brown creators are openly embracing self-tanning. Not to change their complexion, but to even it out, enhance natural radiance, and reclaim a beauty ritual that's long excluded them. What once felt like an off-limits aisle in the beauty store is now a space for experimentation, education and glow-ups—with melanin at the center. Videos tagged #BlackGirlsTan have racked up millions of views, with creators like Jackie Aina and Kamie Crawford showcasing their glowing skin post spray tan. It's not to change their complexion, but to even it out, contour and improve superficial imperfections. So I decided to dig deeper and experience it for myself—sitting down with two of the industry's most trusted experts: Sophie Evans, celebrity tanning artist and skin finishing expert for St. Tropez, and Peta Murgatroyd, Dancing with the Stars alum and founder of Peta Jane Beauty. Both women are redefining the self-tanning space—not only by making products that work across all skin tones, but by helping to reframe what 'tanning' actually means. 'Self-tan is for everybody,' Evans told me. 'And on darker skin, it looks amazing—you get rid of tan lines, contour the body and it gives you that glow. We all go darker in the sun—why not enhance that?' Sophie's been tanning melanin-rich skin since the '90s, working with stars like Sade and Mel B of the Spice Girls long before it was trendy. Today, her work continues with a new generation of creators, who are turning the lens on a new kind of luxury: even skin, body confidence and radiant, natural glow. Meanwhile, Peta Murgatroyd is carving her own lane with Peta Jane Beauty, a self-funded brand built around everyday confidence, buildable color and formulas that actually work for all skin tones. Both experts agree: the results are only as good as your prep. So if you're a first-timer, don't skip these essentials. 'Exfoliate 24 hours before,' Murgatroyd emphasized. 'But don't use oily scrubs. Oil creates a barrier and prevents the tan from absorbing. Instead, use a dry exfoliating mitt to remove dead skin and get an even base.' She also advises shaving a full day prior to tanning to avoid the formula settling into open pores or looking spotty. Evans' agrees, adding that moisturizing only dry areas (like elbows, knees, ankles) is key to avoiding over-saturation and patchiness. Once you're prepped, here's how to apply for flawless results: Exfoliate – 24 hours before tanning. On the day of, moisturize dry areas like elbows, knees, ankles, and feet – Use a mitt to apply St. Tropez's Classic Bronzing Mousse or Peta Jane's Gradual Tan in long, even strokes. Work in sections (forearms, upper arms, chest).Glow – Wait 4–8 hours before rinsing (or 1 hour with express formulas). Then moisturize daily to maintain a smooth, radiant finish. Peta Jane and St. Tropez both prioritize neutral undertones, which are essential for melanin-rich skin. 'I've tried formulas that made me look red, green—even gray,' said Murgatroyd. 'So we created a line with a neutral brown base that works on every skin tone—from fair to deep. There's no orange, no weird undertones—just glow.' Peta Jane ultra dark tanning mousse pictured with Black model Her top picks? 'The mist is my date-night hero,' Murgatroyd laughed. 'I have three kids, a dog, and no time. I spray my chest, my legs—wherever showing—and I'm out the door glowing.' Evans recommends St. Tropez's Violet Supreme Mousse, which contains olive-based and melanin-compatible pigments, and Sunlit Serum Drops for precise, brush-based application. 'Even on deep skin, a little contour with the right product goes a long way,' Evans told me. 'It's not about coverage—it's about enhancing what's already there.' Black model showcasing tan before and after using St. Tropez tan berry sorbet mousse When I asked Evans about tips for newcomers, especially Black women curious but cautious, she offered this: As more Black women reclaim their glow on their own terms, the industry is finally being challenged to keep up. This is about more than bronzing. It's about visibility, access and choice. 'Black girls tan too,' Evans said with a smile. 'And when they do, they glow differently.' 'Everyone deserves to feel radiant,' Murgatroyd echoed. 'No matter your skin tone, your lifestyle, your routine—you deserve products that make you feel good in your skin.' Tanning is no longer a one-shade-fits-all experience. Whether you're looking to contour your curves, blur out stretch marks or just look like you stepped off a yacht in St. Barts—there's finally space (and product) for Black women in the glow game. So yes, Black girls tan too.

INGE VAN LOTRINGEN: I'm a 55-year-old beauty expert, here are my 7 anti-ageing fake tan rules and the £44 James Reed product every woman needs for a streak-free finish
Fake tan phobics need not fear the streaky feet as it's never been easier to achieve natural-looking glowing, sunkissed skin, thanks to self-tanning products evolving to be largely fool-proof, entirely customisable and capable of leaving you bronzed and beautiful. 'Well-formulated products have the right amount of tanning agent versus colour-correcting pigments to ensure the colour is perfect for your skin tone,' says St Tropez tanning artist Sophie Evans. So, if you're wary of the stuff, but even warier of hitting the beach with your flesh looking blindingly pale or infuriatingly blotchy, don't fret.

The 12 Products You Need Now for an Effortless Summer
Nothing says summer like naturally glowing skin that's been kissed by the sun and lived-in hair that's been graced by the ocean. If summer isn't the time to embrace effortless style, then when is? Let your freckles take the spotlight (there's good reason our favorite It-girls have been known to draw theirs on). As for frizz? Consider it the chic new synonym for salty beach waves. If you haven't caught our drift, we're calling it now. The name of the game this summer is all about no-fuss, low-maintenance, and completely pared-back beauty style. We've curated your ultimate top shelf of 12 high-performance essentials from Bluemercury that simplify your routine without sacrificing results. From skincare-infused SPF and multi-tasking makeup to hair and body heroes, these products are designed to work harder so you don't have to–leaving you more time to soak up endless beach days and less time in the mirror. The Not-So Basic Basics If you only buy three products this season, make them these. Start with the ultimate base, Augustinus Bader The Mineral Sunscreen SPF50 with TCF8. This clean, lightweight formula offers broad-spectrum protection while supporting long-term skin health through the brand's signature TCF8 complex. It's where skincare meets suncare–and exceeds expectations. Next, a few swipes of Ogee's Crystal Contour Collection will go a long way. A trio of versatile sticks, these crystal-inspired shades of bronze, blush, and highlight, are buildable, blendable, and perfect for on-the-go glow. No brushes needed. Finish with Damage Reverse Serum by Virtue, a cream-to-serum treatment powered by Alpha Keratin 60ku to reverse damage, strengthen strands, and reduce breakage–consider it summer rehab for your hair. The Top Shelf Revamp If you're ready to upgrade (or perhaps overhaul) your entire top shelf, we have your ultimate lineup covered. In the sunscreen department, M-61's Perfect Body Spray Sunscreen delivers broad-spectrum protection with a luxurious coconut vanilla scent. Packed with antioxidants like vitamin E, green tea extract, aloe vera, avocado oil, and lavender, it hydrates, dries quickly, and leaves no white cast–ideal for beach days, lounging poolside, or a stroll in the sun. For extra sweat and water resistance, Supergoop's Play Everyday Lotion with Sunflower Extract SPF 30 is a fast-absorbing formula that's perfect for outdoor workouts and long hours under the sun. For skincare that quenches like a tall glass of water, reach for the cult-favorite, Dr. Barbara Sturm Hyaluronic Serum. This award-winning hyaluronic serum delivers deep, lasting moisture and visibly plumps skin. Think of it as the white t-shirt of your skincare routine. The Everyday Beauty Look When it comes to makeup, this is the moment when doing the bare minimum will pay off. Lune + Aster's Vitamin C+E Lip Gloss offers high shine with a sheer tint and a nourishing antioxidant blend. Available in a range of summery shades–from golden peach to sorbet–it's moisturizing, wearable, and transitions seamlessly from day to night. We recommend keeping one in every bag. Pair it with the Victoria Beckham Concealer Pen–a second skin formula that brightens, conceals, and visibly improves your complexion over time. It's the only overage you'll need. The Au Naturale Go-To's For hair care that embraces a summer state of mind, R+Co's Essential Air Dry Blow Dry Crème will do the trick for frizz-free, smooth strands, whether you're air drying or heat styling. Finish with Maria Nila True Soft Argan Oil that softens and strengthens all hair types, without weighing hair down. Notes of vanilla, rose, and jasmine evoke summer in a bottle. Body care that levels up? Vacation's Shimmer Oil is the black tie of sunscreen, boasting two types of show-stopping shimmer—a pearlescent glaze alongside larger gold mica flecks as well as a blend of naturally derived oils that will turn any poolside moment into a dazzling evening out. As temperatures continue to rise, stay fresh with Evolvetogether's Deodorant. This plant-powered formula absorbs sweat, neutralizes odors, and most importantly, actually works. Feel fresh and smell great. Yes, both are possible. This summer, less really is more. With these 12 essentials, you'll spend fewer minutes getting ready and more time enjoying the season in all its radiant, sun-drenched glory. See you on the beach.
