Man charged and NAMED as man remains in hospital in 'serious condition' after assault
A man has been charged and named following a 'serious assault' which has left a man aged in his 50s in hospital. The incident, which prompted a major emergency response including an air ambulance, happened on Thursday (June 26) morning. Thames Valley Police were called at 11.47am to a report a man in his 50s had been 'seriously assaulted' on Lovegrove Avenue in East Challow, near Wantage. On Friday (June 27) the police force said that a 33-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the incident. He has since been charged with section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and named as Adam David Short or Mably Grove, Wantage. He has been remanded into custody and will next appear at Oxford Crown Court on Friday, July 25.

Man in hospital after stabbing and fire in Ipswich
A man has been taken to hospital after a stabbing and a fire at a services were called to Station Street in Ipswich at about 08:45 Police said the fire was quickly extinguished and a man in his 40s was taken to hospital with stab was said to be in a serious but stable condition, while a 55-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. Four appear in court after man is seriously hurt in Cottingham
A woman and three men have been charged after a man was seriously injured in Cottingham, near Hull, last Vitkauskaite, 26, and Armantas Sauklys, 39 of Eppleworth Road, Cottingham, Emilio Romano, 24, of Hadleigh Close, Hull, and Mohammed Hussain, 24, of Harborough Avenue, Sheffield, have been charged with false imprisonment, conspiracy to kidnap and conspiracy to cause grievous bodily four appeared at Hull Magistrates' Court on Monday and were remanded in custody until their next appearance at the same court on 22 other people – three men and two teenage boys – who were arrested in connection with the incident on 19 June have been released on bail. Woman accused of intentionally wounding man in Pembrokeshire town
A WOMAN has been accused of wounding a man in Haverfordwest. Amy Woolston, 21, of Dartmouth Street in Milford Haven, appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates' Court charged with wounding with intent. It was alleged she unlawfully and maliciously wounded a man on June 13 with the intention of causing him grievous bodily harm. The case came before the court on June 16, and was sent on to Swansea Crown Court. Woolston was remanded into custody and will appear to enter her plea on July 18.

London police charge seven Iranians with assault after embassy incident
LONDON (Reuters) -London police on Sunday said they had charged seven Iranians with grievous bodily harm after a reported fight at a protest near the embassy last week. London's Metropolitan Police said they had been alerted to an apparent fight outside the Iranian embassy on Friday, which local media reported occurred during a protest against the Iranian leadership. Police said eight people were arrested in connection with the incident, including one man who was in hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Another man was also hospitalised. "Seven of those arrested were charged with causing grievous bodily harm," police said in a statement. "All are Iranian nationals." Police said that they had been remanded in custody ahead of a court appearance on Monday. The eighth person was still in hospital and had been bailed, they added.
