iPhone 17 Pro Camera Design Leaked: Three Big Features Coming This Year

iPhone 17 Pro camera leaks are getting exciting and the new upgrades could give us premium camera tech The iPhone 17 Pro was recently spotted in the wild that more or less confirms the triple camera design overhaul for the new model this year. And a new update this week suggests Apple could bring multiple upgrades to the 17 Pro series. Most of the details shared by the tipster with MacRumors hints at big changes for the iPhone 17 Pro which could finally give it the armory to go up against other camera spec-heavy devices in the segment. The tipster quoted in the report claims to know the company that will be making the iPhone 17 Pro ad. He claims Apple will offer a new telephoto lens with up to 8x optical zoom which is higher than the 5x optical range available with the iPhone 16 Pro models. The company is also expected to bring a new pro camera app which works for photos and videos. The report says the app will be designed to compete with other Pro-level iOS apps for the camera. Apple could add another camera control button which could sit on the top edge of the iPhones that will give you easy access to the camera. You've already got one button for the cameras on the bottom right near the power button so we're not sure why Apple wants to bring another button for the same function. Apple could bring a full set of 48MP sensors for its triple camera system with this year's iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max models. The overall The 17 Pro camera setup is likely to get a LiDAR scanner, along with a trio of 48MP sensors, which could be the periscope telephoto lens. iPhone's selfie game has been behind the rivals but the 24MP TrueDepth sensor on the front could lighten up the competition. view comments First Published: July 31, 2025, 07:30 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. The iPhone 17 series release will be one of the biggest of 2025, and as such, the rumor mill has gone into overdrive about the device. This includes a new, alleged real-life image of the iPhone 17 Pro. The images were shared by user Fox Pupy on X, and show a man in a black jacket holding two phones - one of the more recent iPhones, while the second is claimed to be the iPhone 17 Pro. The second image shows another man, who is claimed to be security, attempting to block further images of the phone being taken. The phone in the image is hard to identify, as it appears to be in a thick black case. The one distinguishing feature seen in the image is the long-rumored elongated camera block on the back of the phone. We have seen this same design appear in several different iPhone 17 Pro leaks, including claimed renders of the phone, dummy units and even alleged cases. However, the sheer amount of leaks is also part of the problem, as it makes creating convincing fakes much easier. It's also worth noting that Apple is protective of its products and tight-lipped when it comes to leaks, so you could argue that the photographer would never have been allowed even this close to the iPhone if it were real. Adding to the confusion, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, a frequent and reliable leaker of Apple product info, reposted the image on X with the caption, 'Wow. This looks legit.' At a glance, that would seem to add some credibility to the photo, but some in the comment section of the post seem to believe this is a joke response on Gurman's part. While it's exciting to see a potential real-life sighting of the iPhone 17 Pro, it doesn't answer other questions we have about rumored features and upgrades. For instance, we recently heard that Apple could be planning to introduce up to 12GB of RAM in the iPhone 17 series. Not only would this make the phones much faster, but also, when combined with the rumored 2nm A19 chip, could help give Apple Intelligence the boost it needs. Rumors like these are certainly interesting to see, but again, we have to take them with a heavy grain of salt. The common consensus is that Apple will release the new line of iPhones in early September, so we likely don't have long to wait to see how many of the rumors prove to be accurate. Wall Street analyst expects Apple to hike the price of some new iPhone models by $50

Jefferies analysts predicted a $50 price increase for the iPhone 17 Pro models. The price hike would aim to offset tariff costs, likely affecting Pro and Pro Max models. Analysts expect Apple to beat estimates coming off a surge of iPhone demand in May and April. If Apple maintains its tradition of introducing a new iPhone lineup in September, Jefferies analysts expect the mysterious iPhone 17 will cost more than its predecessors. In a note published on Wednesday, the analysts predicted a $50 price increase — a 4% to 5% jump from 2024 — to offset the impact of tariffs. The price hike would likely exclude the base model, Jefferies said, and affect the Pro, Pro Max, and the rumored slimmer iPhone model. As of Wednesday, the retail price of the iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at $1,199. Jefferies assumes 40% of the iPhone 17 will be made in China for US consumers. If the average cost to build it goes up by $20 to $25, a $50 bump in price "may barely cover the above cost increases." During its last earnings call, Apple told investors to expect a $900 million tariff hit for the June quarter Despite the expectation of a price hike over tariff costs, Jefferiesanalysts expect Apple to report a strong June quarter on Thursday. They think increased demand for iPhones from consumers who feared price hikes drove higher sales. However, the spike in demand sparked by tariffs in April and May seemed to cool in June, UBS analysts estimated. They expect a softened demand for the iPhone 17 in September.

Leak Reveals Colors for Entire iPhone 17 Lineup, Including a Bold Orange for the 17 Pro

Looks like the iPhone 17 Pro won't come in sky blue after all. Long-time iPhone leaker Sonny Dickson has shared what he claims are dummy models for the entire iPhone 17 lineup expected to be announced in September. Notably, there's a new non-boring orange color for iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. God, please be real! As you can see in his X post, there's an orange shade of the iPhone 17 Pro/17 Pro Max alongside the less flashy black, white, and navy blue. As I've said before, Apple desperately needs to bring some of the more fun colors to the iPhone Pros and orange would be the brightest yet, though dummy models don't always accurately depict colors. For example, dummy leaks suggested the iPhone 16 Pro's Desert Titanium would look copper/bronze, or as I called it, 'poop brown.' The actual Desert Titanium iPhone 16 Pros that shipped are more of a champagne/beige gold (and sometimes pink-ish in warmer lighting). It's not the first time a phone maker has made an orange phone. Google blessed the Pixel 4 with a vivid 'Oh So Orange' colorway way back in 2019. Cue all the 'orange is the new black' jokes. — Sonny Dickson (@SonnyDickson) July 30, 2025Dickson's X post also offers a preview for the skinny iPhone 17 Air. If accurate, the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air will come in what appears to be black, white, gold, and light. Not the most eye-catching colors if I'm being honest. Sure, most people will throw a case over their iPhone, but still—if there's any iPhone that you won't want to cover up with a case, it's the one that tells everyone you've got the newest and thinnest iPhone ever made. The regular iPhone 17 could pick up the slack if you're looking for more color pop—supposedly coming in pink, lime green, light blue, white, and black. RIP teal iPhone 16… we hardly knew ye. Orange for the iPhone 17 Pros would be striking. All rumors point to Apple switching from a titanium frame back to aluminum for the iPhone 17 Pro/17 Pro Max, which may not only make the devices lighter but also open the door to more vibrant colors in the future. Anodizing titanium with dyes is a much harder process to achieve compared to aluminum. We're *checks calendar* about a month and a half away from Apple announcing the new iPhone 17 family, likely the new Apple Watch Series 11, and possibly even AirPods Pro 3. If you're on the fence about buying Apple products, especially any of the ones I just mentioned, you really should hold off unless you absolutely need a device to function.

iPhone 17 dummies just leaked in all colors — and there's a bold new signature hue

The iPhone 17 series' potential color options may have just been revealed thanks to a new leak. And it looks like a redesigned camera block isn't the only new thing coming for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The leak in question comes from Sonny Dixon on X, and shows off four color options for each new model. For the most part, the shades for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are what we'd expect — with a black, white and blue option. However, the image also shows a bright orange finish that's far louder than previous hues we've seen in recent models like the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro. The next line of phones in the image is the iPhone 17 Air, which has four dummy models in black, white, gold and a light blue. The light blue option in the image appears to match the Sky Blue color available for the 2025 MacBook Air. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 models in the image feature black, white, light blue and pink. Unfortunately, the lavender option that was heavily rumored to make an appearance is missing, which could mean it didn't make it past testing. Apple's new design for its next generation of phones also seems to be confirmed if these leaked dummy units are accurate. While the iPhone 17 looks pretty similar to current models, the iPhone 17 Pro and the Pro Max feature an elongated camera array, although, as Bloomberg's Mark Gurman stated, the two-tone color options are not present. These leaks follow on from a recent social media post allegedly showing someone holding an iPhone 17 Pro unit in the wild. The phone in the image is in a large black case, so there's no indication of colors, but evidence is mounting that this is the design that Apple is planning on going with. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. With that said, we won't know anything for sure until Apple officially unveils the phone, which will almost certainly happen in early September. Meanwhile, how do you feel about these rumored color options? Is orange the new black? Let us know in the comments.
