Abbott Elementary's Quinta Brunson breaks silence on divorce as she addresses 'major change' in life
Quinta Brunson has insisted that she "didn't announce" her divorce. The 35-year-old actress married Kevin Jay Anik in 2022, and it emerged via public records earlier this year that she had filed for divorce but she has insisted that no one famous actually wants others to know when something happens in their personal life. She told Bustle: 'I remember seeing people be like, 'She announced her divorce.' "I didn't announce anything. I think people have this idea that people in the public eye want the public to know their every move. None of us do. I promise you. No one wants [everyone] to know when you buy a house, when you move, when a major change happens in your personal life. It's just that that's public record information.' The Abbott Elementary star initially felt the need to present herself in a "certain way" once she found success with her Emmy Award-winning TV series and felt pressure to avoid doing things like changing her appearance, but then found it "very liberating" to stop thinking like that. She said: "When Abbott started, it felt like, 'OK, I'm quite public now, and I'm responsible for so many people. I need to be consistent. I need to show up a certain way. I need to be reliable. "I got it in my head that that's a bad sign "You can't cut your hair, you can't pierce your nose, you can't get a tattoo. It's going to give, 'You don't know who you are.' "Those are invisible voices that aren't in your home with you, that aren't in your personal life, that aren't your friends. s 'I love my fans, I love the people who watch Abbott. So you want to hear them, and you want to listen to them, but when it comes to matters of your personal life and decisions you make, you do have to tune it out. "When I finally cut it off, there was something very liberating about it. "You can still change and evolve and start over. Cutting my hair helped remind me that I am an artist first. I want to feel things. I want to do things. I want to make choices. I want to be a person, and not just stuck in having to be a certain way for business."

Abby Abadi lets daughter manage her own personal life
26 Jun - Abby Abadi is no longer interested to make any comments regarding her daughter Marissa Dania and her marriage to Ahmad Aslam. The 48-year-old singer, who was asked about their relationship recently, said that she will let Marissa deal with her own personal life. "It's her choice. Let her face it on her own. If it's good for her, it will continue. But if it's the opposite, let's just see what will happen. That's all that I can say," she said. Abby said that it doesn't matter if she was vocal about the issue, seeing that it doesn't change anything. "I am okay with Marissa. She is my daughter after all. We don't want things to turn worse. Let us have space to calm down," she added. It was back in April that Abby decided to express her ire on the issue of Marissa and Aslam, who eloped and tied the knot in Songkhla back in 2023. The couple were slammed due to the fact that Aslam already has a wife. The frustration that Abby expressed stemmed from a comment on social media telling her to apologise to Aslam's first wife, Umisya. Reporter Goes On Wild Rant About His Messy Marriage While Covering LA Protests
Well, someone's sleeping on the couch indefinitely. An aerial reporter for a local Los Angeles news station decided to get a little too personal while covering the 'No Kings' protests in Southern California on Saturday. Stu Mundel of Fox 11 was covering the demonstrations from a helicopter when — about an hour into the two-hour livestream, while the aircraft was traveling to a location with more protesters — he decided to interact with commenters in the stream's live chat. And it seems that someone's remark prompted him to get TMI about his love life. 'I am married… I am legally married. I am legally married. That's about the only way you can really say it. I am legally married, but I am not looking now at all,' he revealed. 'I, uh, just had a bunch of debacles with my personal life.' 'I got nothing right now … trying to find myself and be happy,' Mundel said later. 'I'm being serious about that.' 'I want to be beholden to no one at this moment,' he said after a long pause. 'Do I get lonely? Of course, of course, but I got cats,' the journalist concluded with a rueful laugh before deciding to refocus on his job. It seems that Mundel didn't give a damn that people were listening to his rogue comments, because earlier in the broadcast, he assured everyone that he was aware his mic was on. 'If you're going to be joining me a little bit later on and you don't catch the beginning, you're going to be, like, 'This guy doesn't know his mic is open,'' Mundel said at the very beginning of the livestream. 'I know my mic is open.' When clips of Mundel's rant about his failing marriage made their way to X, formerly Twitter, some locals pointed out that Mundel has a tendency to go wildly off-script in pretty amusing ways.
