Police: Bikers in deadly Seremban convoy pile-up hit themselves
KUALA LUMPUR, July 24 — A crash among three front-riding motorcycles triggered a massive 15-bike pile-up involving a car and a lorry that killed three riders early this morning, police said. Seremban district police chief ACP Mohamad Hatta Che Din said the accident occurred around 2.30am at KM 262.5 on the northbound lane of the North-South Expressway in Seremban. All 15 motorcycles had been travelling together in a group from Senawang towards Kuala Lumpur. The first collision caused the riders to fall on the highway, leading to a domino effect behind them. Twelve motorcycles failed to avoid the crash site and collided into the fallen bikes. Some of the motorcycles also struck the rear and right side of a passing car and a lorry. 'The accident led to the deaths of both riders of the Yamaha NVX motorcycles and one rider of an unidentified motorcycle model, who were all confirmed dead at the scene,' the police official said. Twelve others were taken to Hospital Tuanku Ja'afar, with two admitted to intensive care. Police said such incidents show the serious risks of riding in large, fast-moving groups on highways. They are now investigating the crash under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

M60 remains shut after eight-vehicle crash
Part of the M60 remains shut in both directions after an eight-vehicle pile up, National Highways has said. The road has been shut for hours after the crash involving three lorries, two cars and a van at about 11:30 BST and is not expected to reopen until 00:45 BST at the earliest. A clean-up operation to remove the debris, spilled diesel and several barrels of beer which fell from one of the vehicles is underway, alongside efforts to repair the central reservation. Drivers have been told to use signposted diversions between junction 25 for the Bredbury Interchange and junction 1 for the Pyramid Roundabout in Stockport. National Highways said one lorry had driven through the central reservation and hit several lamp posts, while another had shed its load of beer barrels. The North West Ambulance Service said three people had been taken to hospital for further treatment, while six others were assessed for minor injuries. Injuries, but no fatalities, in five-vehicle crash on Les Paul Parkway in Waukesha
A pileup involving four passenger vehicles and a semitrailer backed up traffic on Les Paul Parkway at Racine Avenue in Waukesha shortly before noon June 20, resulting in injuries. Waukesha police were still investigating what led to the collision, which took place in the heart of a construction zone that has narrowed traffic to one lane in each direction from Sunset Drive to Arcadian Avenue this summer. While there were multiple injuries, none appeared life-threatening, Lt. Kyle Bergner said. "Everyone was conscious and alert, talking to us, so it looks as though we avoided anything too serious," Bergner said. As of mid-afternoon, the department's commercial motor vehicle unit was still sifting through the details, including talking with crash victims. It wasn't immediately known if all the vehicles were heading north or south on Les Paul Parkway, also known as U.S. Highway 18/state Highways 59-164, which is part of the West Waukesha Bypass Route. But the accident did cause backups as at least 11 emergency vehicles were called to the scene. Waukesha Alerts posted on the social media site X that traffic was at a standstill for miles at one point during the early afternoon. "I think this one drew a little bit more attention because obviously it was on 164 and backups were related to it, and a semi was involved," Bergner said. He added he didn't anticipate the department releasing any additional information, given that there no were no fatalities.
