Police say the initial call came in around 6:55 p.m. More Local News The NYPD Emergency Service Unit responded to the scene and went onto one of the tram cars to get on the same pillar. The man voluntarily surrendered to the police, according to the NYPD. The man was taken to an area hospital. No other information was immediately available.
