‘Thin ice': Kelly Clarkson's heartbreaking personal battles revealed
Kelly Clarkson cancelled her Las Vegas residency minutes before showtime on July 4 over vocal issues – but she also faces 'hidden battles,' sources tell Page Six. The singer and TV host axed the opening night of her Studio Sessions residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace just 90 minutes before showtime last Friday, devastating fans. Clarkson, 43, said she could not risk causing 'serious damage' to her voice, as one Vegas insider told us, 'She belts out every single note. She's an incredibly powerful singer, but it takes its toll on her vocal cords and she's come incredibly close to needing surgery before. 'She cannot risk damaging her cords further – she's on thin ice.' Back in March, Clarkson, 43, missed 10 episodes of her NBC talk show, with her spot being filled by guest hosts – and was absent again the following month when Andy Cohen stepped in to host. Both times she cited personal matters as her reason for taking off. Clarkson has been open about the toll her turbulent divorce from Brandon Blackstock, father of their kids, daughter River Rose, 10, and son Remy, 8, took on her. A second insider in the know added, 'Kelly's personal life is so insanely complicated … Kelly is fighting some serious hidden battles that very few people are privy to … it's a source of emotional and therefore physical distress for her.' Clarkson has been candid about just how much the 2020 split after seven years of marriage and the ensuing legal battle took out of her, telling Apple Music in 2023, 'Just to be brutally honest, I did not handle [the divorce] well.' Page Six reached out to Clarkson's rep for comment. After cancelling the first weekend, Clarkson is expected to kick off the residency this Friday. In an emotional note, she said she wanted to create the 'most intimate and extraordinary experience' for her 'incredible fans.' However, she noted, 'The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. The singer added, 'I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone.' Clarkson reassured her fans that the career-spanning show is 'incredible' and concluded, 'I can't wait to be back next weekend and show y'all what we've been working on.' Page Six has previously revealed how the star's 'very painful' personal issues may force her to quit The Kelly Clarkson Show next year. In May, the singer also lamented how the NBC show had held her back from going on tour, saying, 'We haven't done a show in a while, y'all, 'cause I have a talk show. It's like a whole other job.' Page Six has also learned Clarkson's talk show contract expires after Season 7 in 2026 and she may not renew. Last month, a source told us, 'She is a compassionate and caring person, and what has happened [recently] has helped her to move beyond the divorce.'

Liam Gallagher hits back at fans after sparking fears Oasis gigs could be CANCELLED
LIAM Gallagher has hit back at fans who raised concerns about his vocal health ahead of the Oasis reunion gigs - telling one to 'shut up'. Singer Liam, 51, sparked cancellation fears online after posting a string of tweets about taking throat lozenges, prompting speculation that his voice might not hold up for the shows. 4 4 One fan tweeted: '@liamgallagher If you need that many throat stuff does that mean anytime your voice can still go. We don't want cancellations' Liam responded bluntly: 'Shut up you melt' Another fan asked: '@liamgallagher Did you eat all your sour throat candies yesterday?' To which he replied: '@adele_liam I did 2 pacs.' Just yesterday, Noel, 58, was seen taking the Tube to his band's rehearsals in London. It was a far cry from his rock 'n' roll star brother Liam's arrival as cameras clamoured to get a shot of him through the window of a car. He, too, looked to have loaded up on cough syrup and Lockets, presumably a bid to protect his trademark raspy vocals. It was Liam who had earlier revealed the Gallagher brothers would be blowing off the cobwebs and belting out their classic tunes ahead of their hotly-anticipated summer stadium shows. The group's last gig was at V Festival in 2009, before they split following a huge row backstage at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris. The former feuding brothers have now put their differences aside as they get ready for the tour of the decade which kicks off next month. Noel Gallagher looks stony-faced as he makes lonely Tube journey to Oasis rehearsals – but Liam's entrance is chaotic Noel and the rest of the Oasis - bassist Andy Bell, guitarists Gem Archer and Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs, and drummer Joey Waronker - have already kicked off rehearsals, but now it's time for Liam to join them. The singer revealed the news in a post on social media platform X. One fan asked: "Happy Sunday man! Are you ready for rehearsals "There are only a few days left and you're joining the others?' Liam replied: "Yes Rasta D I'm in Tuesday to blow there minds [sic]." Another fan asked whether the Wonderwall singer was "excited" to begin rehearsals, to which Liam replied: "Can't wait." This latest exciting news comes just days after The Sun revealed the real reason Oasis are getting back together. According to our sources, Noel's eldest daughter Anais Gallagher was instrumental in helping her famous father and his brother Liam get talking again. The model, who is from Noel's first marriage to Meg Mathews, got to work on healing the rift, following her dad's split from second wife Sara MacDonald. The 25-year-old figured the breakdown of her dad's marriage could be an opportunity for her dad to focus on getting Oasis back together, and also reconcile with his younger sibling. An insider said: 'Anais was one of the biggest sources of comfort and support for Noel following his divorce. "She was the one that was helping him get back on his feet and return to doing things he loved that had fallen by the wayside. 'Over the years, Noel had offered an olive branch to Liam, but he'd never taken it up. 'Anais could tell her dad really wanted both his brothers, Liam and Paul, by his side after the split so was determined to get them back in touch. 'She gets on great with Liam's sons Gene and Lennon so she asked them if their dad would be willing to hear her out. 'Anais spending so much time with her dad allowed her to realise how much he missed his brother, despite the jibes they both made. 'It enabled her to plant the idea of a reconciliation on both sides. Thanks to her close relationship with Liam, she was able to call him. 'She worked hard to make sure they didn't look back in anger, if you like. 'Once Liam called Noel, the rest was left up to them.' Miley Cyrus reveals another shock medical condition that stops her from touring
Miley Cyrus has revealed another shock medical condition she suffers with that stops her from touring. The Flowers singer, 32, who recently admitted she ended up in the ICU, credits her signature raspy voice to a 'very large polyp', an abnormal growth of tissue, on her vocal cord. She said on Apple Music's The Zane Lowe Show: 'It's a part of my unique anatomy. '[It's] given me a lot of the tone and texture that has made me who I am, but it's extremely difficult to perform with because it's like running a marathon with ankle weights on.' Dubbing her tone the 'ultimate vocal fry' she added that her popstar lifestyle of 'staying up late, drinking, smoking and partying' when she was 21 did not 'help' her voice, but did not 'cause it. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'I do have this blessing of a condition that I live with. My voice is super unique because of it.' Cyrus said she is scared to get surgery on her polyp as she risks 'not sounding like herself' although it makes performing much harder. Adding that live shows are 'taxing', she said any proposed tour would have to be 'sustainable' for her as she does not lip-sync. Elsewhere in the chat she revealed she hid a 'extremely excruciating' medical emergency from her fans while recording a New Year's Eve special. The three-time Grammy winner opened up in detail about a harrowing health scare as 2022 turned into 2023. The Franklin, Tennessee native had been working with her godmother Dolly Parton on her TV special Miley's New Year's Eve Party when an ovarian cyst ruptured. The End of the World singer said she 'had a pretty traumatic experience on a show that I was doing with' SNL creator Lorne Michaels. Miley said, 'I had a medical emergency - I had an ovarian cyst rupture - we didn't know exactly what was going on so we did it.' Miley said that she stuck to the credo that the show must go on, despite severe physical symptoms that likely would have sidelined other performers. 'It was pretty traumatic because it was extremely excruciating and I did the show anyway,' Cyrus said on the music-focused chat show. The Slide Away songstress emphasized that taking the stage with the ailment 'was really really hard on' her. She also revealed she ended up in the ICU over Thanksgiving after contracting a brutal infection that left her leg 'disintegrating' - even making a seasoned surgeon gag. The pop star opened up about her harrowing experience on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday. She details the bizarre cause of the injury: rolling around on the grimy Hollywood Walk of Fame while shooting a music video for her visual album Something Beautiful in October. 'I caught something,' she told Kimmel. 'My leg began to disintegrate... around the kneecap area. And then the doctor goes, 'Do you have any idea why you would have such a brutal infection on your kneecap?'' Cyrus mimed rolling on the sidewalk as she explained how she had to come clean about the source. 'I had to tell him,' she said. 'To have a surgeon look at you and say, 'Yuck…' They open up cadavers. They see inside the guts of humans, and they're looking at me, telling me I'm disgusting. And they do brain operations!' 'Have you been to the Walk of Fame in the middle of the night?' she asked Kimmel, before joking, 'I thought it was my last day.' While she's fully recovered, it's safe to say Miley won't be filming on Hollywood Boulevard again anytime soon.
