Orlando Pirates eye Mali international, while new player arrives
According to reports, Orlando Pirates are monitoring Mali international Sadio Kanoute. 'According to Africafoot , the Soweto giants are considering tabling an offer in the region of €500,000 (approximately R10 million) to lure Kanoute, who previously turned out for Simba SC in Tanzania,' a SoccerLaduma report revealed. In other news, the Buccaneers have just announced the signing of Polokwane City attacker Oswin Appollis after nearly a year of trying. It looks like Orlando Pirates will be forced to let go of their golden boy Relebohile Mofokeng. Bafana Bafana boss Hugo Broos believes he will leave this winter. 'Talking about Mofokeng, I just hope that he makes the right decisions. And that he is not going to a team where he won't play,' said Broos. 'I see all the things around, Barcelona and Rangers and… (sighs) I'm a little bit afraid. I just hope that the people around make the choice of the best sportive solution and not the best financial solution. 'Okay, I think his parents want the best for him, that's for sure. But there is another guy who wants to win a lot of money also, but that's the problem. But ok, let's hope, maybe I talked too soon about that. 'We'll see. I think in June, Rele will not be a player of Orlando Pirates anymore, but a good choice is very important.' Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1. Moroccan Star Chemsdine Talbi shines in Brugge's Belgian Cup triumph
Club Brugge secured its 12th Belgian Cup title on Sunday with a 2-1 victory over Anderlecht, thanks to a brace from Romeo Vermant (40th, 61st minute). Despite a late goal from Luis Vázquez (90+1), the Brussels side fell short once again, marking their third loss in a Belgian Cup final after previous defeats in 2015 and 2022. Amid the celebrations, one face stood out: Chemsdine Talbi. The Moroccan international of Belgian origin celebrated the win with emotion, as shown in a heartfelt post on his Instagram account. Talbi's season, however, has been marked by ups and downs—particularly following his decision to represent Morocco at the international level. Despite a strong start, his playing time has significantly decreased, raising questions about his future at the Flemish club. According to Africafoot, several European and Gulf clubs have expressed interest in Talbi. Napoli, RB Leipzig, and Eintracht Frankfurt, as well as Saudi clubs Al-Hilal and Al-Qadisiyah, are reportedly eyeing the 21-year-old ahead of the summer transfer window. Club Brugge is said to have set his price at €30 million.
