What time does Rory McIlroy start at The Open? Round One and Two tee times

The Open Championship is underway as 156 of the world's best golfers get ready to tee it up in the final major of the year at Royal Portrush. The tournament heads back to Portrush after its maiden appearance there in 2019, which in turn ended the Open's 68-year absence from Northern Ireland. Shane Lowry delighted home fans with his victory six years ago, and the Republic of Ireland star will be hoping to roll back the years this time around. And there will also be plenty of eyes on Rory McIlroy as the Masters champion looks to improve on his performance here in 2019, which saw him miss the cut. Xander Schauffele is this week's defending champion after his commanding final-round display at Royal Troon last year. But the American, still getting back to his best after an early-season injury, faces a tall order to win back his title against a stacked field that includes World No1 Scottie Scheffler. Ahead of the first round, here is everything you need to know, including the tee times, TV schedule, and how to watch and stream in the UK. Who is the favourite to win the 2025 Wimbledon Women's Championship?

The women's competition has seen many new champions in recent years win the shield as Barbora Krejcikova starts her defence of her title after an impressive display last year Wimbledon has arrived and many will be keen to have their say on who will be the SW19 women's champion this year considering there has not been a back-to-back winner since Serena Williams in 2016. Over the past eight years, Wimbledon has seen a new women's singles champion each time, with Barbora Krejcikova taking the title in a surprising twist last year. This year, World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka steps onto the grass courts as the frontrunner, having reached the finals in the last three Grand Slams. Despite her impressive form, Sabalenka has clinched victory in only one of those three major finals. Moreover, she hasn't competed at Wimbledon since 2023, adding an element of uncertainty to her campaign. Known for her powerful serves and formidable groundstrokes, Sabalenka's game is seemingly well-suited to the fast-paced grass surface of SW19. However, grass can be unpredictable, and with many talented players ready to seize their moment, Sabalenka's path to victory is anything but guaranteed. Who is the favourite to win the 2025 Wimbledon Women's Singles Aryna Sabalenka, the World No.1, heads into Wimbledon 2025 as the favourite for the women's singles crown, with the best odds of 9/4 from William Hill and Unibet. The Belarusian powerhouse has already claimed three Grand Slam titles, including victories at the 2024 Australian and US Opens, and has reached the finals in both the 2025 Australian and French Opens, amassing a remarkable 42-8 record this year. While she has yet to reach a Wimbledon final, her semi-final appearances in 2021 and 2023 underscore her capability on grass. Sabalenka's draw looks promising until the semi-finals, enhancing her chances of making a deep run given her consistent performance in major tournaments. However, she could face challenging encounters against rising stars like Iga Swiatek in the later rounds, which may test her resolve as she aims to secure her first Wimbledon title. Wimbledon Women's Singles Outright Odds Aryna Sabalenka - 9/4 Elena Rybakina - 9/2 Iga Swiatek - 13/2 Madison Keys - 12/1 Marketa Vondrousova - 12/1 Amanda Anisimova - 18/1 Jasmine Paolini - 25/1 Ekaterina Alexandrova - 33/1 Emma Navarro - 33/1 BAR - 40/1 18+ | Gamble responsibly | | Odds subject to change | Odds supplied by William Hill Wimbledon Betting Offers If you are on the lookout for the latest free bet offers, then look no further. Rory McIlroy's odds drift as clear favourite emerges for US Open

Rory McIlroy has seen his odds drift out to 12/1 to win this week's US Open. The Northern Irishman has struggled for form since winning the Masters back in April and finished way off the pace at last month's PGA Championship. That event was won by Scottie Scheffler who is the clear favourite with Betfair to win his first US Open title and his third major in total at Oakmont this week. Scheffler is in the form of his life and followed up his PGA win with a fantastic victory at the Memorial Championship. Just behind Scheffler in the bookmakers' pecking order is defending champion Bryson DeChambeau. The American has twice won the US Open in his career, memorably pipping McIlroy in an epic encounter last year. Betfair spokesman Sam Rosbottom said: 'The third Major of the year is already upon us, with the world's best arriving at Oakmont Country Club hoping to beat Scottie Scheffler. The American won the USPGA Championship last month and is 11/4 favourite to back up that triumph. 'Having appeared to be suffering somewhat of a dip with his performance following his Masters win in April, Rory McIlroy was way back in the field at Quail Hollow and has been given a 12/1 chance of bouncing back here. 'The last time the US Open was held at Oakmont Country Club in 2016, Dustin Johnson won the tournament and he is 125/1 to repeat the feat this weekend. Shane Lowry was a runner-up on that occasion and is 40/1 to win this weekend.' Betfair - US Open odds Scottie Scheffler - 11/4 Bryson DeChambeau - 7/1 Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy - 12/1 Xander Schauffele, Ludvig Aberg - 22/1 Collin Morikawa - 25/1 Joaquin Niemann - 30/1 Justin Thomas, Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry - 40/1 Sepp Straka, Patrick Cantlay - 45/1 Brooks Koepka, Viktor Hovland, Corey Conners, Tyrell Hatton - 55/1 BAR - 60/1
