GTA6 is now available... to pre-load to your console as fresh details 'leaked'
GTA 6's official release may be a year away but a new development has left fans "gearing up" for a "masterpiece" Waiting for a new game to drop on PS5 or Xbox is always a tough one. You've seen the trailer, watched the teaser, and scoured the internet for whatever inside scoop you can find on what you might be dealing with on release day. Rockstar Games announced last month that the release of Grand Theft Auto VI would be delayed until May 26, 2026. Gamers were up in arms over the announcement, with many impatient to discover GTA 6's new features. A second teaser trailer for the game was also released, raising tensions even more, but now gamers will be chuffed to hear that, despite a postponement until next May, GTA 6 is now available. That is, available to 'wish list' on both Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. While fans were able to add GTA 6 to their PS5 wish list as early as May, the option was conspicuously absent from the Xbox Store. In welcome news for fans, the team at Rockstar Games has now seen to the issue. Players can now express their interest in GTA 6 via wish list on the Xbox website and directly through the console. Although not equivalent to being able to pre-order, wish listing represents an important step towards the much-anticipated release of GTA 6. The Store Page for GTA 6 boasts not only the game's intriguing trailers but also a range of screenshots for virtual voyeurs. And the revelations just keep on coming as new details about the expected GTA 6 online mode have reportedly been "leaked" online, as spotted by X, formerly Twitter, user @GTAVI_Countdown, and reported by Fravillys, a former Rockstar Mag chief editor who is believed to have previously dropped exclusive insight about the RAGE engine, has written a piece containing alleged information about the expected online mode in GTA 6. "According to an inside source, the upcoming multiplayer game, codenamed 'GTA6MP', is currently at an advanced stage, much more so than it was during the original GTA Online, which was developed between 2008 and 2013," Fravillys wrote in a translated article. "One of the most significant advances would be the ability to perform free-roam multiplayer activities with players from different sessions, without ever having to leave your own environment or experience loading times. "The next version of GTA Online is said to be aiming for a seamless and immersive gaming experience, with the ambition of reaching up to 96 simultaneous players per session. However, according to my latest information, this figure is currently limited to 64 players." None of this has been confirmed by Rockstar. Elsewhere, there has been reaction aplenty to the Xbox Wish list development. One X user wrote: "Already wish listed. I'm not sure I can do the late night like I used to but I'm sure to try for this game!!" Another enthused: "Now we can experience this masterpiece in the greatest console ever!" A third joked: "My work wondering why I'm suddenly sick on may M6, 2026". Others were concerned about the game's release date. One commented: "I expect one more delay, watch it push into summer '26" and a second agreed: "We all know it's going to get pushed back again though". A third questioned: "Should we trust this ETA?" while a fourth pointed out: "I am honestly surprised they didn't push it to June 6th. GTA 6 on 6, 6, 2026, would have been good marketing." The game's narrative is believed to around two principal characters, Jason and Lucia and set in various locations including Vice City itself, along with Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, and Ambrosia. 7 problems from GTA 5 that GTA 6 must fix
(Image via Rockstar Games) GTA 5 was iconic, but it wasn't flawless. For all its wild missions, unforgettable characters, and meme-worthy chaos, there were some pretty annoying things we don't want to see in GTA 6. Rockstar's next big release has a massive legacy to live up to, so here are 7 GTA 5 problems that need to be left in the past. 1. Shallow NPC Interactions Sure, Los Santos was lively. But try talking to an NPC for more than two seconds and… yeah, nothing. They either insulted you or walked away. In GTA 6, we need smarter, more reactive NPCs. Let them remember us. Let them matter. GTA 5's NPCs and AI Is BROKEN - Let Me Ruin Them For You (Facts and Glitches) 2. Annoying Police AI You bump a car, and boom — five stars. The cops in GTA 5 had zero chill. In GTA 6, we want smarter police, not psychic terminators. Make them realistic, give us room to strategize — not just hide in an alley for 2 minutes. 3. Wasted Side Characters Remember Tanisha? Or Denise? Exactly. GTA 5 gave us tons of cool side characters and then… ghosted them. Don't just introduce them for a cutscene; make them part of the journey. GTA 6 has a new cast. Let's not waste them. 4. Online > Story Bias We get it: GTA Online prints money. But Rockstar kind of forgot story mode existed. No single-player DLC? Too bad. GTA 6 needs to respect the campaign. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Mini House for 60 sqm for Seniors with Toilet and Bath (Click Here) Pre Fabricated Homes | Search Ads Search Now Undo Give us expansions, twists, new missions, the works. 5. Overly Linear Missions GTA 5's missions looked open, but one wrong move and it was 'Mission Failed.' Can we get more creative freedom, please? In GTA 6, let us approach missions our way — loud, stealthy, smart, or chaotic. 10 Cars That NEED More Customization In GTA Online 6. Weak Car Customization Los Santos Customs was cool… for 2013. In 2026, we need Forza-level customization. Body kits, liveries, performance tuning — go big or go home. GTA is about flexing. Let us do it right. 7. No Real Consequences You could blow up half the city and still chill at the strip club like nothing happened. It was fun, but kinda shallow. GTA 6 should make actions have consequences — reputations, alliances, even personal rivalries. Make it hit different. GTA 6 has the chance to level up in every way. The world's watching, and expectations are sky-high. Just don't repeat GTA 5's biggest Ls, and we're in for something legendary. 6 reasons GTA 6 might become Rockstar's biggest game yet
(Image via Rockstar Games) Rockstar Games hasn't dropped a mainline GTA in over a decade. Since then, the gaming industry has evolved massively, and the pressure to deliver something iconic has never been higher. But judging by everything we do know from leaked details to that record-breaking trailer, GTA 6 might not just be big. It might be Rockstar's biggest game of all time. Here's why this might be the GOAT of all Rockstar games. 1. Vice City is back — and bigger than ever We're going back to Leonida (a.k.a. modern-day Florida), and Vice City is the heart of it. But this isn't the 2002 neon nostalgia trip. We're getting highways, swamps, suburbs, and cities that feel alive. It's not just a map — it's an ecosystem. Gators in the streets, yacht parties, and high-speed boat chases through the Keys. How GTA 6 Graphics looks SO INSANE.. 2. The graphics are next-level stupid good Even from that one trailer, the visual quality is wild . The lighting, the reflections, the crowds — it looks like a living, breathing world. TikTok detectives spotted background NPCs doing everything from scrolling phones to getting in fights. If that level of detail runs in real-time? Yeah, we're not touching grass for weeks. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 2025: Steel Suppliers From Mexico At Lowest Prices (Take A Look) Steel Suppliers | search ads Search Now Undo 3. It's been over a decade. Expectations are sky-high GTA V came out in 2013. That's two console generations ago. Since then, Rockstar launched Red Dead 2 , which completely made the fans go crazy with superb storytelling in an open-world game. If GTA 6 builds on that same level of polish, but adds fast cars, heists, and chaos? It's going to be the biggest entertainment drop since... ever. 4. More than a decade of learning from GTA Online Rockstar has had more than 10 years of watching how players interact with GTA Online, what works, what flops, and what keeps us grinding. Expect all of that knowledge to be poured into GTA 6's online mode, likely launching after the main game. If done right, this could become the go-to online playground for the next decade. 5. Rockstar has something to prove While GTA 5 was a masterpiece, Rockstar has taken heat in recent years. Think GTA Trilogy remasters, GTA Online's grind, and the long wait for anything new. GTA 6 feels like a comeback moment. Rockstar knows it needs to earn back trust. No shortcuts. No filler. Just premium, hand-crafted chaos. Bonnie & Clyde in GTA 6?! Crazy New Leak! 6. Lucia and Jason might be the most relatable GTA duo ever This time, it's not about three unhinged criminals doing chaos for chaos' sake. Lucia and Jason feel grounded. They're Bonnie & Clyde, but with depth. The trailer already showed their chemistry, and players are already shipping them. Rockstar's leaning into character-driven storytelling, and if they pull it off? It's gonna hit different. GTA 6 is shaping up to be more than a game. It's an event. And if Rockstar delivers on even half the things fans are hoping for… we're looking at a global takeover . 'GTA 6 Online can't be like this': Reddit post sparks fan uproar over Rockstar's DLC updates; thread goes viral
GTA 6, or Grand Theft Auto VI, is the highly anticipated game of the year. And finally, after a year, Rockstar Games has released trailer 2 of the game, which has now become one of the biggest video launches of all time, garnering more than 475 million views in just 24 hours across all platforms. Amid the wait for the game to release, GTA 6 is set to include a revamped version of GTA: Online, but it seems it didn't sit well with fans. According to Gaming Bible, Rockstar Games hasn't revealed the details yet, but fans are already speculating about what to expect. A Reddit post shared by user @Sufficient-Trash-807 is captioned the post with a title, "GTA6 online cannot be like this. Things must change, "which has now garnered the massive attention of fans. Reddit user expresses frustration with GTA Online The Reddit post talks about GTA Online's recent DLC updates, criticising them as repetitive, low-paying and uninspired. The player also pointed out that new businesses offer poor returns, like a money laundering operation dropping from $70K to $35K per run, and highlighted how new features, such as car warehouses and locations like Smoke on the Water, provide minimal profit. Additionally, the mission playouts are seen as underwhelming with small bonuses that barely make a difference. Fans react to GTA Online's DLC updates As soon as the post surfaced on the social media platform, fans couldn't stop themselves and discussed the same. One said, "It's literally in-game inflation. When they designed GTAO, it did not have all these mechanics, and they had to increase the value of things to make money less valuable. Hopefully a full reset of the economy will remedy things." "I'm willing to bet that GTA 6 will have a busted online economy day one. RDR2 had the same problem. They've had their taste of Shark Card money or otherwise, and they won't turn back on it," another added. While one said, "RDR2 HAD the same problem. It's fixed now; sadly that resulted in people not needing to buy Gold Bars, and thus Rockstar didn't earn any money from RDR2 Online. This is factually the One and Only reason support for RDR2 was discontinued." To stay updated on the stories that are going viral, follow Indiatimes Trending.
