Jeff Bezos' honeymoon celebration raises eyebrows as wife Lauren leaves early

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos was nowhere to be seen as Lauren Sanchez enjoyed a lavish dinner with her famous pals in Paris this week Newlyweds Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez have been celebrating their honeymoon after tying the knot in a £48million wedding in Venice last month. Where most people usually spend their honeymoon enjoying a romantic break, the Amazon founder and his new bride opted to invite their famous pals to join them on the celebrations. Over the weekend, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom were spotted with newlyweds Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez on what appeared to be part of the couple's honeymoon. Katy and Orlando, who said they are now focusing on co-parenting their daughter Daisy Dove, hopped on board Bezos' superyacht in the Mediterranean with their little girl. ‌ ‌ A few days later, Lauren jetted off to Paris without her new husband to enjoy a night out with a host of A-list friends, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn and Brooks Nader. The famous pals were pictured leaving Laperouse restaurant after a lavish dinner. Lauren, 55, looked out of this world in a red latex dress from Versace. She completed the look with a black Hermes handbag and black sunglasses as she made her way out. Brooks went all out in capris, a mesh halterneck top with bow detailing and a black purse. ‌ Brooks' younger sister, Sarah Jane Nader, also joined in on the night. Sean and Leonardo, on the other hand, opted for casual looks as they walked out in baggy trousers, simple T-shirts and light jackets. Leonardo kept hidden in a black face mask with a cap pushed down over his face. ‌ Last month, Jeff and Lauren tied the knot in Venice despite threats and protests by anti-capitalists and locals. The 25-minute wedding ceremony saw the pair exchange vows in front of around 200 guests, including a number of high-profile celebrities. In attendance were the Kardashian-Jenners, Orlando Bloom and Oprah Winfrey, as well as Ivanka Trump and her family. ‌ Rania Al Abdullah, the Queen of Jordan also watched on, as did supermodels, actors and business-people. Guests were welcomed by a gospel choir, with the singers performing a rendition of Whitney Houston's Higher Love as the bride and groom entered. Most guests partied well into the early hours of Saturday, but some celebs slipped away early. Kim and Khloe Kardashian left the do early and had already left the country by the time some of the other guests woke up, having being spotted at Venice airport early in the morning. ‌ Jeff kept his party gifts fancy, giving his male guests ViBi Venezia blue velvet slippers. But Sanchez partook in some shameless marketing, handing out black open-toe slippers from Amazon, promoting the business empire that made her now-husband a billionaire. According to a well-placed insider involved in the event planning, it's said the couple were already legally married for at least a month before the wedding. They said: 'They have been married for at least a month, more than a month. The marriage is fully legal and took place in America under American law.'

Kylie Jenner accused of breaking major rule at Jeff Bezos and Lauren's wedding

Jeff Bezos and long-term love Lauren Sanchez pulled out all the stops for their £48million wedding ceremony in Venice - but A-List guest Kylie Jenner may have broken a huge rule... Kylie Jenner was amongst the many celebrities at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's lavish Venice wedding ceremony this week, but fans think she may have broken one huge rule. The 27-year-old was in attendance alongside sisters, Kim, Khloe and Kendall, as she was spotted getting into a water taxi in what looked like a white corset dress. ‌ Many fans were left in shock upon first look of the custom-designed gown by Turkish-British designer Dilara Findikoglu, which featured lace-up detailing. However, upon further inspection it became apparent that Kylie Jenner 's dress was blue and silver under the right lighting, with it being described as "icy blue" online. ‌ Fans, however, were still up in arms over the dress, as they claimed Kyle 'broke' the rule of not wearing white, which is traditionally worn by the bride. Taking to social media, one fan penned: "Y is Kylie Jenner wearing white??", as a second penned: "White should be the last colour choice!" As for Lauren's dress, the bride, 55, stunned in a bespoke Dolce & Gabbana gown. The long sleeved white gown featured a huge train and stunning white flower detailing, including white floral appliques over the corset style dress. As well as the Kardashian-Jenners, a number of other A-List celebrities were in attendance, including, Oprah Winfrey and Leonardo DiCaprio and Ivanka Trump. ‌ An A-List guest list watched on as Jeff and Lauren exchanged vows in a ceremony lasting about 25 minutes, with family and friends gathered at the event. They were heard cheering, clapping and whistling for the pair after they said 'I do'. To kick off the lavish ceremony, a Gospel Choir welcomed the guests and the bride and groom into the event, with the choir singing Whitney Houston's Higher Love. Opera star Matteo Bocelli, son of of singer Andrea Bocelli, performed at the pair's wedding reception, where he sang Elvis Presley's song I Can't Help Falling in Love With You. Andrea could not attend the ceremony as he was in concert. Despite celebrating their wedding this weekend in Venice, it's been reported that the couple tied the knot weeks ago. An insider involved in the event planning, they said: 'They have been married for at least a month, more than a month. The marriage is fully legal and took place in America under American law.'

Newlyweds Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez seen for first time without £3m ring

Billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his new wife Lauren Sanchez stepped out in Venice for the first time since getting married, amid protests from critical anti-capitalists and locals Newlyweds Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez have been spotted for the first time since tying the knot, albeit without Lauren's huge £3million diamond wedding ring. The happy couple marked the third day of their huge wedding celebration this morning, stepping out in Venice together. They were all smiles as they waved and posed for photos following their 200-guest ceremony, in which they exchanged vows in front of their family and famous pals. But although the new Mrs Bezos debuted her estimated 35 carat diamond ring last night, she was without it today as she made an appearance in the Italian city. ‌ Former journalist Sanchez, 55, and her 61-year-old Amazon founder groom had their ceremony on San Giorgio Maggiore Island yesterday (Friday, June 27). The billionaires were surrounded by high-profile guests, with the Kardashians, Oprah Winfrey, Orlando Bloom and Ivanka Trump among some of the attendees. ‌ Rania Al Abdullah, the Queen of Jordan was also in attendance, alongside supermodels and actors. Guests were welcomed to the ceremony by a gospel choir, with the singers performing a rendition of Whitney Houston's Higher Love as the bride and groom entered. The lavish celebration drew criticism from locals, who threatened to gatecrash the wedding, and displayed messages of disapproval in the city's St Mark's Square. But the show went on, and the couple are gearing up for their third and final evening of celebrations tonight at the Arsenale. Although most celebrity guests partied into the early hours of Saturday morning, some slipped away early, with Kim and Khloe Kardashian already at the airport to depart the country first thing Saturday morning. Described by some as the 'wedding of the century', eyebrows were raised when Lauren's gift to her guests was branded "shameless". While Jeff gifted his guests some luxe ViBi Venezia blue velvet slippers, Sanchez pushed the brand that made her husband a billionaire, handing out black open-toe slippers from Amazon. But one journalist was less than impressed with the whole affair, branding Lauren "tacky". ‌ Katie Couric waded in on the last post from Jack Schlossberg, the writer famous for being the nephew of John F. Kennedy Jr. and the daughter of Caroline Kennedy. Schlossberg appeared to have poked fun at Bezos and Sánchez about their wedding celebration in Venice, Italy, this week. He reposted the cover of Vogue on Friday which showed Lauren in her white lace wedding dress. Schlossberg captioned the photo: "Like I said … vogue." Lauren beamed in the snap, while wearing her dress which featured long sleeves and a figure hugging shape. The floral lace hugged her hips before fanning out at the knees in a mermaid style. Couric then left a comment where she called the bride "tacky" in a cruel dig. ‌ "Welcome to the eighties — when big hair and conspicuous consumption ruled. Apparently tacky is back," she wrote. Schlossberg snapped back, replying: "Let's bring back scrunchies." Other Instagram Another added: "Spot on! Money can't buy you class." A third wrote: "I am here for this kind of commentary."
