YSRCP's allegations are baseless: TDP
TDP Anantapur district president Venkatasivudu Yadav on Saturday (June 28) said YSRCP leaders are levelling baseless allegations against the NDA government because they are unable to digest the fact that poll promises are being fulfilled. Speaking to media persons here, Mr. Venkatasivudu Yadav said the YSRCP leaders are trying to divert the attention of the people from the scams and scandals of the previous government that are coming to light in the past one year. 'The YSRCP leaders should stop their propaganda against the government,' he said. Listing the various welfare programmes by the government, he said the government is extending 'Talliki Vandanam' to every child of the eligible beneficiary families and will implement the 'Annadata Sukhibhava' from July. He said the government increased the social security pensions and had also issued DSC notification to fill 16,347 vacancies. 'The government will soon launch the free bus ride to women scheme also,' he said. Mr. Venkatasivudu said the government repaired 20,000 km of roads at ₹1,200 crore since coming to power with an aim to make the State pothole free. On the development front, the government brought ₹4.95 lakh crore investments to the State, providing jobs to 4.50 lakh people.

‘Marathon' NDA Alpha Leaks Show Visual Improvements, Detail New Additions
Marathon I'm honestly a little surprised that we haven't seen more leaks out of the NDA-ed Marathon Alpha that's been running, but that's what the threat of legal action will do. It also signifies that maybe that's what Bungie should have done with the last Alpha, as originally planned, as we may have avoided that whole negative news cycle. This info is pulled from Twitter user @itsrocksiza, who says they have not signed an NDA themselves, but has access to information and (now deleted) images all the same somehow (a friend?). He says Bungie contacted him to delete the images, and while not legally required to do so, he did it to be nice. I did save them, but I'm not going to actually post them here for a similar reason. But I'll talk about what was shown. Marathon As I've always said, leaks aren't leaks when they're positive! I mean, not really, and you all should not break your NDAs, but here we are, and all of this sounds like improvements from the last public Alpha, and relatively quick changes being made/tested. This is obviously not everything. Bungie said there will be further tests before release, though what the mix of NDA-ed and invite-only and eventually public tests will be is not confirmed. Bungie has not given a new Marathon release date, but says it will this fall. It's likely to be before the end of the 2025 fiscal year which ends in March. We'll see just how many changes and additions Marathon can get before that release, and if they might change its fortunes. DMK slams BJP over resignation of Dalit legislator from Puducherry Cabinet
The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), the principal Opposition party in Puducherry, has come out strongly against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the resignation of a Dalit legislator from the Puducherry Cabinet. Opposition leader and DMK convenor R. Siva, in a statement, said the party condemns the BJP for seeking the resignation of A.K. Sai J. Saravanan Kumar from the Cabinet headed by Chief Minister N. Rangasamy. Mr. Kumar's resignation from the Cabinet comes two years after the removal of another Dalit Minister S. Chandira Priyanga from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in the UT. It may be recalled that Ms. Priyanga, a member of the Chief Minister's All India N.R. Congress, a major constituent of the NDA in Puducherry, was dropped from the Cabinet in 2023 as she was 'deficient' in her performance as Minister. 'Two years after the removal of Ms. Priyanga, another Dalit Minister has been removed from the Cabinet without giving any reason. There is no Dalit representation in the NDA government in Puducherry now. It is highly condemnable. The vacancy in the Cabinet has to be filled only with the appointment of a Dalit member,' the Opposition leader said. He also questioned the necessity to appoint three nominated legislators. The appointments are solely made by the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the elected Assembly or the people of the UT have no role in the same, after the BJP came to power at the Centre in 2014, he said.

Palaniswami is NDA's chief ministerial candidate for 2026 T.N. Assembly polls: G.K. Vasan
Former Union Minister and Tamil Maanila Congress (Moopanar) president G.K. Vasan said on Saturday (June 28, 2025) that AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami is the leader of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Tamil Nadu as well as its chief ministerial candidate for the 2026 Assembly elections. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a party function in Salem, Mr. Vasan said there were no issues within the NDA and that it remained a 'strong and victorious alliance.' He alleged that the ruling DMK was trying to create confusion within the NDA. Mr. Vasan added that Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during his visit to Chennai, had clarified the alliance's position, and BJP State president Nainar Nagenthran had also clarified who the NDA leader in Tamil Nadu is, and who the chief ministerial candidate would be. Responding to a question about Mr. Shah not naming Mr. Palaniswami as the chief ministerial candidate in a recent interview, Mr. Vasan said the Union Minister had announced the alliance with the AIADMK by having Mr. Palaniswami seated next to him. Regarding political parties' demand for a coalition government in Tamil Nadu, Mr. Vasan said that there is discussion about the idea among parties in both the ruling and Opposition alliances, and that there is nothing wrong with it. Responding to a question on whether actor Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) would be a part of the NDA, Mr. Vasan said that the aim was to unseat the 'anti-people' DMK government. 'So, people who are against the DMK should unite in a single alliance,' he said. Denying allegations that the BJP is weakening regional parties, the TMC president said the party is currently ruling many States across the country, while the Congress is steadily losing its strength. Blaming another party for internal issues is merely an attempt to hide their own failures and fear of electoral defeat, Mr. Vasan added.

Fadillah concludes central Asian visits, nuclear energy revival on the horizon
Fadillah's visit focused on the potential revival of Malaysia's nuclear energy programme, alongside collaboration in the halal economy, tourism, energy investments and Islamic finance. – Bernama photo MOSCOW (June 28): Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof has concluded his eight-day working visit to Uzbekistan and Russia, marking a pivotal step in Malaysia's renewed efforts to strengthen strategic international partnerships. The visit focused on the potential revival of Malaysia's nuclear energy programme, alongside collaboration in the halal economy, tourism, energy investments and Islamic finance. A key milestone was the signing of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) between MyPower Corporation, a special-purpose agency under the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (Petra), and the Russian state atomic energy agency Rosatom. The agreement paves the way for potential cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear technology, as Malaysia re-evaluates its long-term energy strategy. As Malaysia advances its National Energy Transition Roadmap, nuclear energy is being seriously considered as a reliable, clean baseload option to diversify the energy mix and achieve long-term climate and energy security goals. Malaysia previously had a robust nuclear development agenda, including plans to commission two nuclear power plants by 2021. However, these plans were shelved, and the Malaysia Nuclear Power Corporation was disbanded in 2018. Today, amid increasing pressure to decarbonise and diversify its energy sources, nuclear energy is once again under consideration as a viable low-carbon option. A recently completed pre-feasibility study yielded encouraging findings, prompting the government to explore implementation pathways that align fully with global safety, security and non-proliferation standards. The visit also reinforced Malaysia's global halal leadership. Both Uzbekistan and Russia expressed strong interest in leveraging Malaysia's well-established halal ecosystem. Additionally, the Uzbek government extended a formal invitation to Malaysia's national oil and gas company, Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas), to consider reinvesting in the republic's energy sector. Petronas had exited Uzbekistan in 2013, but new opportunities in exploration and upstream development have emerged as Uzbekistan seeks to revitalise its energy landscape. Tourism ties were boosted by AirAsia X's launch of direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Tashkent, operating three times weekly. Recognising the potential to further enhance travel and trade, Fadillah encouraged AirAsia X to expand its route to include Samarkand, a historic Silk Road city and Unesco World Heritage Site, offering added value for both leisure and cultural tourism.
