Cheapest Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 deals to pre-order
Samsung's all-new Z Fold and Z Flip foldable phones have been announced Samsung's latest foldable smartphones have been unveiled, and they might just be the top picks for those on the hunt for a new mobile. The brand-new Z Fold and Z Flip were showcased during the Unpacked event in New York, boasting significant improvements over their predecessors. The most noticeable transformation is seen in the latest Z Fold 7. Its revamped design makes it more pocket-friendly, and it now features an enhanced triple-lens camera with a primary 200MP lens for superior night-time photography and videography. Then there's the Flip 7, which comes equipped with speedier processors, superior screens, and upgraded cameras. Our tech team has rounded up what to anticipate from the Flip 7. While these updates are thrilling, one crucial consideration for consumers is where to buy the best phone deals. This largely depends on how buyers prefer to pay for the device. For those looking to spread the cost, check out Three Mobile for the best contract deals. For the Fold 7, customers can shell out £45.50 per month on a 36-month contract with a £60 upfront fee, as The Express reports. However, this doesn't include data, so that will need to be factored into the monthly cost as well, a potential downside for some shoppers. The same applies to the Flip 7. Samsung enthusiasts can snag the device for a monthly payment of £25.25 with an upfront cost of £40, spread over 36 months. Both phones come with additional storage and significant trade-in savings. Customers can also pre-order from Sky and EE, and depending on the carrier, they may be eligible for a variety of freebies. For those seeking alternatives, Carphone Warehouse offers a range of other deals worth exploring. For Apple users, Giffgaff provides a reasonable monthly plan for the iPhone 16 Pro at £24 a month, with a slightly higher upfront cost of £25. Returning to Samsung, the South Korean tech giant has the best SIM-free deals for customers willing to pay in full up front. The brand is offering double storage, up to £935 in trade-in value, and a £100 discount if consumers pay using PayPal. For the Fold 7, customers can reduce the price from £1,799 to £1099 through trade-in, and get an additional £100 off with PayPal, bringing the price down to £1064. As for the Flip 7, with a trade-in, customers could pay as little as £596 for the phone.

I just tested the Galaxy Z Fold 7's new selfie camera vs. the Fold 6's under-display camera — and the results are drastically different
So much has changed with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 that you may not have noticed one of the most crucial differences between it and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. After four generations of under-display cameras on the Z Fold's main screen, Samsung has finally called it quits and moved back to a punch-hole camera. It's also over twice as detailed, using a 10MP sensor rather than a 4MP one (that is technically 16MP - it's complicated). Arguably, the punch-hole is less optimal for the big inner display that defines the Z Fold, but it should be much better for taking actual photos. So to see what difference this and other upgrades have made to the inner (and outer) front cameras of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, we're doing a full selfie camera comparison against the Z Fold 6. How big a difference is there? Does it really matter? We're gonna find out. Taking both foldables out on a particularly sunny London day, I found a nice shady spot to start off this comparison. The Galaxy Z Fold 6's shot is quite dark given how bright it was when I shot this, and also makes every bright spot in the shot look pixellated, thanks to the display being in the way of the camera sensor The Z Fold 7 shot just looks like a normal selfie, which is appropriate since it's a normal camera. The highlights are a bit too bright for my liking, but it's still the far stronger shot and quickly shows exactly why Samsung made this change. There's no hardware difference between the outer selfie cameras of the Z Fold 6 and the Z Fold 7, but in the interest of science, I tried these too. And as it turns out, you can in fact see some differences. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 looks over-sharpened in comparison, which has me leaning towards the Z Fold 7 still as the superior shot. but the Z Fold 7 has made my face look quite pink, which isn't necessarily the most flattering either. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. One of the key special features of selfie cameras is their ability to use a bokeh effect to center the subject (you) against the background. Hence why this was my next step in testing the Z Fold 6 and Z Fold 7's selfie photography abilities. Beginning with the outside cameras this time, we again see more extreme colors on the Z Fold 7, and increased sharpness on the Z Fold 6. But both have a similarly strong bokeh effect and accurately cut around my glasses. The Galaxy Z Fold 7's new inside camera not only brings enhanced quality, but also brings portrait mode with it. It works just as competently as the outer cameras, while the Z Fold 6's inner camera is stuck taking regular photos only. Software and firmware updates can have an impact on camera performance in the dark just as much as the physical sensors. So while hiding indoors from the heat, I did another round of inner and outer selfie shots. In our first pair, using the outer cameras, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has picked up a lot more of the red color present in the room than the Z Fold 6 has, and has lost detail in return. Samsung's clearly tweaked something in the Z Fold 7's image processing pipeline to make its selfies like this, and I hope that this gets changed with an update in the future. As for the inner camera comparison, we have the starkest quality difference we've seen so far. The Z Fold 7's image is again rather pink-looking, but the Z Fold 6's under-display camera takes a photo is so noisy that it looks decades older. One benefit of foldables you may forget about is the option to take selfies with the main camera by opening up a preview window and camera controls on the outer screen. It seemed an appropriate place to finish off this comparison, especially now that Samsung has switched the Galaxy Z Fold 6's 50MP main camera for a 200MP camera on the Z Fold 7. That said, there is not as much of a difference as I expected. Granted, both of these cameras still shoot by default at 12MP, but I still thought there would be more dividing these shots beyond the color tuning differences that we've already observed. Swapping to portrait mode, we finally see the Z Fold 7 produce the less intensely-colored shot of the two. The Z Fold 7's portrait effect is slightly better too, cutting around my ear and the back of my head properly, unlike the Z Fold 6. Obviously I am just one person with one particular hair color, skin tone and pair of glasses, so things may vary for other people trying to snap themselves. But as this test shows, Samsung's big inner selfie camera switch pays off in terms of quality. Maybe some users felt that the quality loss from the under-display camera was worth it for a more seamless-looking display, but I and likely many others will much prefer having a usable inner camera over a few more square millimeters of active screen space. That said, the color of the Galaxy Z Fold 6's shots were generally more to my liking, especially on the outer screen selfie camera which is identical to the Z Fold 7's. Fingers crossed this is a temporary issue, otherwise it's going to be a bit embarrassing for Samsung. We'll keep testing how other cameras compare in the coming days, so stay tuned for that. But check out our Galaxy Z Fold 7 hands-on review for our thoughts as they stand.

Samsung Unveils Thinner Galaxy Z Fold7 & Flip7 Foldable Smartphones & New Galaxy Watch 8
Source: Bernard Smalls / Samsung Galaxy Unpacked / Galaxy Z Fold7 / Galaxy Z Flip7 Samsung unpacked its new lineup of foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7, as well as Galaxy Watch 8 smartwatches. On Wednesday, Samsung returned to Brooklyn to showcase their latest offerings from the flagship foldable smartphone lineup. The premium offering, the Galaxy Z Fold7, provides users with a phone and tablet option, while the Galaxy Z Flip7 offers a traditional clamshell cellphone experience in its opening and closing mechanism. Let's explore what makes these models distinct from their predecessors. The Galaxy Z Fold7 Takes A Page Out of The S25 Edge's Playbook Source: Bernard Smalls / Samsung Galaxy Unpacked / Galaxy Z Fold7 In previous years, Samsung played it relatively safe with the Z Fold model, mainly because there wasn't much competition in the foldable market for the Korean tech giant to worry about. For the Galaxy Z Fold7, Samsung decided to take a page out of the recently released Galaxy S25 Edge's playbook by making the Fold7 remarkably thin. Honor, which spun off from Chinese tech giant Huawei in 2020, recently launched its new ultra-thin Magic V5 folding phone. Earlier this year, Oppo launched its own slim foldable, the Find N5. It appears that Samsung is responding with its own thinner model of the Galaxy Z Fold7, which also features some significant upgrades, unlike previous models. The Galaxy Z Fold7, when closed, measures 8.9 millimeters (0.35 inches) and opens to 4.2 millimeters. It's also significantly lighter than its predecessors, weighing 215 grams (7.62 ounces), which puts it on par with the Find N5 and Oppo. Source: Bernard Smalls / Samsung Galaxy Unpacked While the Z Fold7 is much thinner than the previous model, it's also bigger than the Fold6, thanks to its 6.5-inch cover screen and an 8-inch main display. Samsung has also addressed one of the biggest complaints about the Z Fold model: its camera. For years, they made a puzzling decision to release a super-expensive foldable smartphone with a pedestrian camera, but with the Z Fold7, that has officially come to an end. The Z Fold7 features a 200-megapixel primary lens, along with a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and two 10-megapixel front cameras, one on the cover screen and the other on the main display. Source: Bernard Smalls / Samsung Galaxy Unpacked But, there is still a concern with the battery. The Galaxy Z Fold7 has a 4,400 milliampere-hour (mAh) battery, which is significantly less than the competition. The Honor Magic V5 is powered by a 6,100 mAh battery, and the N5 has a 5,600 mAh battery. Samsung does promise the Galaxy Z Fold7 will provide users with 24 hours of video playback. The Galaxy Z Fold7 is now available for pre-order, starting at $1,899.99. The Galaxy Z Flip7 Gets A Cheaper Model Source: Bernard Smalls / Samsung Galaxy Unpacked / Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 Like its big brother, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is also slimmer, measuring 6.5 millimeters when opened. The Flip7 also has a 4.1-inch cover screen and a 6.9-inch main display. Source: Bernard Smalls / Samsung Galaxy Unpacked /Samsung Galaxy Flip7 The camera system on the back of the Flip7 features a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 10-megapixel lens on the main display. Source: Bernard Smalls / Samsung Galaxy Unpacked / Galaxy Z Flip7 While the Z Fold7's battery leaves much to the imagination, the Flip7 features a larger 4,300 mAh battery that Samsung claims can deliver 31 hours of video playback on a single charge. What's new is that Samsung has introduced a cheaper Galaxy Z Flip7 FE model, which is slightly smaller and thicker than the premium offering. The Galaxy Z Flip7 is also available for pre-order and will cost $1,099.99; the Flip7 FE will cost $899.99. The Galaxy Watch8 Brings Gemini To Your Wrist Source: Bernard Smalls / Samsung Galaxy Unpacked / Galaxy Watch8 Classic Last but certainly not least, Samsung also unpacked its new lineup of Galaxy Watch8 smartwatches. On the design side, what immediately stands out is the round face combined with the square back, a feature from last year's Galaxy Watch Ultra model that has been carried over to all versions of the Watch8. On the wrist, it feels much lighter, and that's because it is. Thanks to its new design, the watch now sits flatter on your wrist, according to Jeffrey Kim, Samsung's senior product lead for smartwatches, allowing it to be 11 percent thinner while adding more space for a slightly bigger battery. Most of the updates in the Galaxy Watch8 come in the form of software, primarily AI features. A new Running Coach feature will assess your running ability using a 12-minute running test and generate a custom training program tailored to your needs. Although this feature was designed with beginners and intermediate runners in mind, Samsung claims it can also help train you to run marathons. The sleep tools receive a boost with the new Bedtime Guidance feature, which measures your circadian rhythm to suggest an optimal bedtime for you. That's not all that gets measured while you get your winks in; your watch can also monitor your Vascular Load, which measures your stress levels. The Galaxy Watch8 also brings Gemini, Google's impressive AI tool, to your wrist, replacing the old Google Assistant. You can now save a series of command prompts to your smartwatch using your voice to utilize Gemini, and for the most part, it works pretty well. There is also a new Antioxidant Index, which allows the watch to determine if you're eating enough fruits and veggies by sticking your thumb on the back of the phone's sensor. This is groundbreaking because the test typically requires blood to be drawn, so for those who can't stand the sight of needles or blood, this should be particularly helpful. The Galaxy Watch8 is also a bit pricier than the previous model. We don't know if that has anything to do with Trump's tariffs. The base model is $50 more, starting at $349.99, while the Classic's starting price is $499.99, excluding the LTE versions and larger models. The Watch8 Ultra remains $649. We are currently reviewing the Watch8 Classic and Z Fold7 and will share our thoughts on both devices in the coming days, so keep it locked on HipHopWired . Samsung Interview: Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 product manager talks new designs, more AI — and that missing S Pen
We've only just seen the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Watch 8 officially at Galaxy Unpacked, and we've barely spent 24 hours with these devices as I write this. But some people have been trying them all out for quite a bit longer. Kadesh Beckford is Smartphone Specialist Product Manager at Samsung UK, and one of the first people to use these devices over a long period of time. So since he's had more of an opportunity than almost anyone else in the world right now to try out the new Samsung foldables and smartwatch, we thought we'd ask him our most pressing questions about the lineup. "To be honest and transparent, I've experienced the Galaxy Z Fold 7 for a couple of weeks now," Beckford admitted during our interview. "I've been very knowledgeable about the product for a little while, obviously while having it under lock and key. But then I've seen every single time I pick it up and have the capability of looking at it, it blows me away." Why does it blow him away? That has a lot to with the big design upgrade the new Z Fold has seen from previous generations. "Every single time I picked it up, I completely forgot it was a Fold. It screams out a normal phone, but when you open it, I'm like, "Okay, this is great." While Beckford's more of a Z Fold fan, he still gets the appeal of the smaller Galaxy Z Flip 7. "With the Z Flip series, the customers love the portability, the practicality of the device and its design. And the fact is we've made improvements on that: stronger, thinner, a bigger battery. Our R&D guys, our engineers, are amazing." There are plenty of hardware changes to talk about, but Galaxy AI still looms in the background as a big part of Samsung's mobile device plan. A few new features are debuting on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, so I asked Beckford what he liked best out of the fresh additions. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. "My favorite one probably is Suggest Erases. Last week, my colleague, Tom, actually, we were in our office, I was taking a few pictures around and I'm taking a picture of Tom. And I'm in the background because there's a mirror in front of us. 'I thought I looked pretty good in the picture at the time, but just the fact that AI picked me out, literally drew a line around me, and I then could literally just press a button and erase. It wasn't me going in to erase it, it made the suggestion at an instant and it removed me." Beckford also named the Now Bar as another favorite. The live app notification feature was introduced with the Galaxy S25, but it takes on new life on the cover screen of the Z Flip 7, where it's visible without opening the phone. 'I use Uber now and then. So now with the Now Bar, you'll get your Uber notifications.. I can now look at that on the Z Flip, just on the left-hand side. For me, that's fantastic.' The Now Brief summary has also proven beneficial for Beckford's fitness goals. 'I wouldn't say I'm a great runner, but I recently committed to not driving to the gym. I either walk or get a [dockless hire] bike. And what I'm finding is that with my device, I'm able to view all my metrics. I do wear a Galaxy Ring. I do wear a Galaxy Watch, but the fact is in my Now Brief, I'll get all of my weekly health insights." This data is important for Beckford, who has set himself the goal of running a marathon distance by September this year ("I haven't said in what time I'll complete it in," he adds). This follows his completion of the popular "75 Hard" fitness plan earlier this year. And he gives Galaxy AI a good amount of credit for helping him. "75 Hard is… hard! But with [Galaxy AI] what I was able to say okay, Monday's scheduling is chest and bicep day, then it's going to be back and tricep day, then it's going to be shoulders and abs day, and legs and abs day. I was able to just say it [to Galaxy AI] and then ask it to repeat this for X time frame and it kept me true to form. "Even at lunch breaks… because Bixby Routines knows I've got into the office, and it's coming up to around lunch time, it will make the suggestion of going for a walk. So these are small little things that I was able to implement. And especially when we pair it up with the improvements to Now Brief and Galaxy Watch. Yes, we must not forget about the other strand of Galaxy Unpacked — the new Galaxy Watch 8 series. "The watch is definitely a complementary factor when it comes to these devices. It looks sleek, it looks sexy as far as I'm concerned, with the stainless steel finish on the Watch 8 Classic. when I partner that up with probably a Silver Shadow Fold 7. It's going to look complete." For as much as the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has improved on its predecessors, it's taken a step back by losing S Pen compatibility. But Beckford explained the reasoning: "When we look at the insights from what our customers were using on the Galaxy Z Fold series and what they wanted, fundamentally they wanted a thinner and lighter device. And with us we definitely pay attention and listen to our customers. So with those insights, we implemented what they asked." Now that he can talk about the phone openly, the last thing I wanted to know from Beckford was the first thing he'll show off once he's moved on to the Z Fold 7 from his current Galaxy S25 Edge. "I'll just show [people] the design. Fundamentally, it will be to put the phone in the palm of the hands of everyone. And I want their opinion and their reaction. It's easy for me to talk about all of the plus points on this device." "But I truly believe once people get it in the palm of their hands and they compare it year on year or even since 2019… they are going to be like, "Yeah, this is epic.""

Samsung plans to launch its trifold smartphone by the end of 2025
In January Samsung teased an all new Galaxy Z trifold device, but no mention of it was made during its Unpacked event yesterday. However, the company now says that does indeed plan to release a smartphone with three displays by the end of 2025, acting head of device experience TM Roh told The Korea Times . "We are working hard on a trifold smartphone with the goal of launching it at the end of this year," said Roh. "We are now focusing on perfecting the product and its usability, but we have not decided its name. As the product nears completion, we are planning to make a final decision soon." Along with that confirmation, an unnamed executive told Android Authority much the same thing. Last month, Samsung teased the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra, but the smartphone shown in the image appeared to have two screens like other Z Fold models. That made us wonder what would be "Ultra" with the device, as the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 has most of the Galaxy S25 Ultra's key features. Other rumors have it that the trifold device could be called the Galaxy G Fold due to the hinge's shape. Samsung wouldn't be first to market with a trifold phone. Huawei has that, er, honor with the Mate XT, an accordion-style device that starts at an eye-watering $2,800.
