Orlando Pirates slap price tag on Mofokeng as North Africa lingers!

Orlando Pirates will surely be feeling several clubs breathing down their neck for the services of starboy Relebohile Mofokeng.
That's perhaps why they have finally named their price – around R31.2 million – for the 20-year-old sensation, a whopping R5.5 million more than the bid from Zamalek FC they rejected during the summer window.
'Orlando Pirates [are] demanding about 1.5 million euros (approx. R31.2 million) for the 20-year-old talent, as well as a percentage of any future sale,' SoccerLaduma confirmed.
From North Africa to Europe, Orlando Pirates have presumably been inundated with Mofokeng-enquiries. The likes of Ah Alhy, Maccabi Haifa, Barcelona FC and Glasgow Rangers have been linked with the winger.
Fueling further speculation off an offseason exit is the player's father, Sechaba, who believes now is the perfect time to flock South Africa and integrate with game's biggest leagues.
'My biggest wish is to see Rele overseas in 2025/2026. I'm praying every day. I don't want to see him in the Betway Premiership again this season. I know God will answer my prayers,' Sechaba said.
[Whether it's in] Spain, England, Netherlands, France, Denmark, Switzerland — Rele can play. I believe that with all my heart. Take him to Barcelona? He can play. PSG? He can play. Any country. I'll be happy — but not Saudi Arabia.'
'Not yet. He's still young. He needs to compete in UEFA competitions. If he goes to Saudi now, he won't experience that. Yes, he'd be rich — but happiness is more important. You can have all the money in the world, but if you're not happy, it's worthless.'

Kaizer Chiefs news: Number 10 race and Khanye's big opinion

The Betway Premiership's upcoming season will feature a new attacking midfielder from Kaizer Chiefs, Ethan Chislett. According to several leading reporters, including FARPost 's Mthokozisi Dube and Lorenz Kohler at iDiski Times , the 26-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a two-year deal with Kaizer Chiefs, after he declined to renew his deal with Port Vale FC in the English League One division. Kaizer Chiefs supporters should be glad to know that Chislett is a high-scoring midfielder who has scored 40 goals in English football. According to Chislett's agent, Mike Makaab, the Durban-born player was a target for Gauteng giants Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns before Amakhosi won the race… Full story here. According to the popular YouTube pundit Khanye, instead of Ethen Chislett, Sipho Mbule should have been the midfielder going to Kaizer Chiefs. 'I see the guy, and if I'm not mistaken, I think he was playing in the second or third division wherever he is coming from,' Khaye said to Soccer Laduma . 'In terms of South African football, it's more of a Vodacom (ABC Motsepe) League where he is coming from, I have been told… Full story here. Orlando Pirates legend's words to Sipho Mbule

Much-loved for his technical touch and passing range, Orlando Pirates have taken a clear risk with the signing of Sipho Mbule. The 27-year-old from Bethlehem, Free State, was available on a free transfer after Mamelodi Sundowns opted against a contract renewal on his expired deal. According to reports, Mbule lost his place at Sundowns after he had reported for training under the influence of alcohol. Khanye: Kaizer Chiefs signed the wrong player Sipho Mbule during his loan spell at Sekhukhune United from Mamelodi Sundowns. Image: Sowetan 'MasterChef needs to understand that he is not at Pirates because they pity him, he is here because of his unmatched talent,' the former Orlando Pirates midfielder told Kick Off . Why Orlando Pirates gave the job to Ouaddou 'Our chairman, Dr. Irvin Khoza, is a parent and a father figure; he has always provided players with a platform to perform. 'Mbule is not the first player to receive such an opportunity from the chairman. I had my share of mischief as well. Before me, there were other troublesome players like Metroblitz (Mandla Sithole) and Tso (Ernest Makhanya), and more. 'So what Sipho must realize is that he is not the first special case to join Pirates. With Dr. Khoza, he not only has a father figure but also a man who understands the challenges faced by young black boys. ORLANDO PIRATES WEIGHT AND HISTORY 'I asked Sipho Mbule what he would like to be remembered for by the club's spiritual owners. I am genuinely excited about Mbule's signing,' Moloi continued. 'This is the first time I am revealing this, but I feel I should share it. Before the friendly game against Arsenal, Pirates played a match where I arrived at camp at 2 a.m. with a teammate, whose name I won't mention, and we were not in good condition. 'I told Sipho yesterday, 'Forget what people are saying about you. They know the talent you possess, and your discipline will improve.' I encouraged him to focus on making the spiritual owners proud,' the former Orlando Pirates midfielder added. 'When I first met him yesterday, he seemed reserved, but after our conversation, he was smiling and laughing. Instead of saying to him, 'Man, stay away from the bottle!', I helped him understand that he was at home at Pirates. 'After that, I had a chance to escape the pressures of South African football. Few people know that I was heading in Sipho Mbule's direction, but thanks to the role the chairman played in my life, I managed to bounce back and help Pirates win the league title in 1994,' Moloi concluded.
