Orlando Pirates news: Ndah, Mofokeng, Saleng, Zindoga
Orlando Pirates inundated with key injuries last campaign, look set to be reunited with Nigerian international Olisa Ndah. The highly-rated centre-back has been out since last September after sustaining a tibia fracture. Meanwhile, the arrival of Abdeslam Ouaddou has sparked rumours between the Buccaneers and Marumo Gallants striker Junior Zindoga. According to insiders, the Moroccan manager is keen to lure his former attacker. Serious question marks are lingering over the futures of Relebohile Mofokeng and Monnapule Saleng, who are both being linked with moves away. The latter hasn't featured since December 7 following salary demands Orlando Pirates deemed unjust. A four-month hiatus then ensued. No clubs have shown interest this offseason, but many believe he will move this winter. Meanwhile, Mofokeng has several clubs – FC Cincinnati, Al Ahly and Zamalek – vying for his services. However, his father, Sechaba, believes Europe is the ultimate destination. 'My biggest wish is to see Rele overseas in 2025/2026. I'm praying every day. I don't want to see him in the Betway Premiership again this season. I know God will answer my prayers,' Sechaba said '[Whether it's in] Spain, England, Netherlands, France, Denmark, Switzerland — Rele can play. I believe that with all my heart. Take him to Barcelona? He can play. PSG? He can play. Any country. I'll be happy — but not Saudi Arabia,' he added. 'Not yet. He's still young. He needs to compete in UEFA competitions. If he goes to Saudi now, he won't experience that. Yes, he'd be rich — but happiness is more important. You can have all the money in the world, but if you're not happy, it's worthless.' Orlando Pirates slap price tag on Mofokeng as North Africa lingers!
Orlando Pirates will surely be feeling several clubs breathing down their neck for the services of starboy Relebohile Mofokeng. That's perhaps why they have finally named their price – around R31.2 million – for the 20-year-old sensation, a whopping R5.5 million more than the bid from Zamalek FC they rejected during the summer window. 'Orlando Pirates [are] demanding about 1.5 million euros (approx. R31.2 million) for the 20-year-old talent, as well as a percentage of any future sale,' SoccerLaduma confirmed. From North Africa to Europe, Orlando Pirates have presumably been inundated with Mofokeng-enquiries. The likes of Ah Alhy, Maccabi Haifa, Barcelona FC and Glasgow Rangers have been linked with the winger. Fueling further speculation off an offseason exit is the player's father, Sechaba, who believes now is the perfect time to flock South Africa and integrate with game's biggest leagues. 'My biggest wish is to see Rele overseas in 2025/2026. I'm praying every day. I don't want to see him in the Betway Premiership again this season. I know God will answer my prayers,' Sechaba said. Orlando Pirates get Mofokeng warning from father
Orlando Pirates starlet Relebohile Mofokeng has several suitors vying for his services, but does that mean he will actually leave? Early offseason signs point towards an exit, speculation most recently fuelled by the 20-year-old's father, Sechaba. 'My biggest wish is to see Rele overseas in 2025/2026. I'm praying every day. I don't want to see him in the Betway Premiership again this season. I know God will answer my prayers,' Sechaba said. [Whether it's in] Spain, England, Netherlands, France, Denmark, Switzerland — Rele can play. I believe that with all my heart. Take him to Barcelona? He can play. PSG? He can play. Any country. Yes, he'd be rich — but happiness is more important. You can have all the money in the world, but if you're not happy, it's worthless.' Orlando Pirates rejected a R25.8 million bid from Zamalek earlier this year, an offer that is likely to be the first of many from North African and beyond Mofokeng's father isn't the only influential individual who see's big things from the Soweto baller. Earlier in the season Bafana Bafana boos Hugo Broos predicted the 2024/25 season to be his last in South Africa. 'I see all the things around, Barcelona and Rangers and… I'm a little bit afraid. I just hope that the people around make the choice of the best sportive solution and not the best financial solution.' 'Okay, I think his parents want the best for him, that's for sure. But there is another guy who wants to win a lot of money also, but that's the problem. But ok, let's hope, maybe I talked too soon about that.' 'We'll see. I think in June, Rele will not be a player of Orlando Pirates anymore, but a good choice is very important.' Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1.
