'Al Imam Al Tayeb', 'One Ummah', 'Human Values with Elders', 'Month of Harmonious Coexistence' - programs by MCE during Ramadan
During the holy month of Ramadan, the social media accounts of the Muslim Council of Elders will showcase five Ramadan-themed programs: "Al-Imam Al-Tayeb," "One Ummah," "Human Values with the Elders," "Month of Harmonious Coexistence," and "Our Ethics." These programs are integral to the Muslim Council of Elders' media strategy, aimed at leveraging every available platform to foster dialogue, peace, tolerance, and coexistence.
The program "Al-Imam Al-Tayeb" hosts His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders. In this series, His Eminence delves into the Most Beautiful Names of Allah, exploring their meanings, the significance of understanding them, and their impact on a believer's behavior and interactions with others.
Building on the significance of dialogue for unity among all components of the Muslim Ummah and following the outcomes of the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference hosted in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the program "One Ummah" has been launched by the Muslim Council of Elders. The conference, attended by His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, saw participation from over 400 scholars and thinkers from various Islamic schools of thought. It resulted in the release of 'The Call of the People of Qiblah' charter. The program "One Ummah" emphasizes the importance of dialogue, coexistence strategies among all components of the Ummah, the role of academic institutions and youth in advancing Islamic dialogue, and the challenges that such dialogue faces.
The program "Human Values with the Elders," now in its third consecutive year, continues to explore the noble human values outlined in the Document on Human Fraternity. These include cooperation, human solidarity, dignity, peace, coexistence, justice, and equality. The program highlights their vital role in enhancing human life, fostering peace and harmony, and building cohesive and interconnected societies.
The program "Month of Harmonious Coexistence" delves into a variety of human values that are especially pertinent during the holy month of Ramadan. It features episodes that focus on the values of coexistence and tolerance, covering topics such as the jurisprudence of differing opinions, the etiquette of dialogue, managing differences, viewing differences as divine mercy, and utilizing diversity and differences to benefit the community and build nations, among other foundational human values that promote coexistence.
For the first time, in recognition of the critical role of ethics and education in shaping effective Islamic communities, the Muslim Council of Elders has launched the program "Our Ethics." Inspired by the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who said, "I was sent to perfect good character," this program is dedicated to instilling essential ethical values in the youth and future generations. Featured values include speaking kindly to people, assisting those in distress, encouraging good deeds, being a good neighbor, and other moral principles.

Coffee Corner: Circle
Rana Atef Circle. A fantastic but enigmatic word. It is more than the round-and-round shape you see in front of your eyes. It is a symbol for a lot of good as well as a lot of bad. Inspiration of the Spirit grounded the symbolism of the circle in ancient and Native American cultures. Circle is the sun. Circle is the moon. Circle is the seasons. Circle is four directions. Circle is healing. Circle is life. Is it truly a circle? Or just a cycle? Kicks off with with a rebirth in the afterlife. Black Elk said, "Everything. The power of the world does done in circles." "The life of a man is a circle from childhood to childhood. and it is in everything where power moves." Even in psychology, we see circles in many aspects of our lives like wheels and rings. Motion. It can refer to (Community - Unity- Growth- Inclusivity - Wholeness- Connection- Infinity). Even in religions, prayers could be done in circles. A Full circle as Loreena Mckennitt described the Sufi prayers in the mosque, after the dawn, in Ramadan, in Morocco. Now, there is a circulating question in the head? Life is a Circle? Do we live in Circle? ARE WE TRAPPED IN A CIRCLE? These thoughts could be somehow dark. But, it depends on you. You may feel that you are trapped inside your life. You may trap yourself under hundreds of nevers. Circle is a shape. It is a line. You can break it. Now, look around! Look AROUND... LooK How many circles DO YOU SEE? Focus... Circles are not bad.. But YOURS IS.. If you are trapping yourself. Turn the OO.. the circles of OOOOO to open vision. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Coffee Corner is an open space. A window. A soft place. It's for you. Those whose minds won't quiet down, whose thoughts are loud, growing louder. These pieces are not answers, they are mirrors. They are breath. They are the still voice in the room when the world won't stop spinning. I write these words not from a pedestal, but from the same place you are. Awake, wondering, remembering. If you're here, then these thoughts are for you. read more 15 Ludicrous Cosplay Costumes That Will Blow You Away Watch... UNESCO Removes Abu Mena Monastery in Alex. from List of World Heritage in Danger
Nada Mustafa- Ali Abu Dashish In a major achievement for Egypt's cultural heritage preservation efforts, UNESCO's World Heritage Committee has officially removed the Abu Mena archaeological site in Borg El-Arab, Alexandria, from the List of World Heritage in Danger. The decision came during the 47th session of the World Heritage Committee held in Paris, following a 2025 joint monitoring report by UNESCO and ICOMOS. The report highlighted Egypt's significant progress in safeguarding the site, including the successful implementation of a groundwater monitoring system, which helped stabilize water levels that previously threatened the site's structural integrity. Egypt's Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathy, praised the milestone, crediting years of work to reduce groundwater levels, restore architectural elements, and enhance visitor services. He also extended gratitude to all involved, including the Egyptian Church and Pope Tawadros II, whose support was key to the project's success. Dr. Mohamed Ismail Khaled, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, emphasized that the removal of Abu Mena from the endangered list reflects global recognition of Egypt's commitment to protecting its cultural legacy. He added that Egypt is developing long-term sustainability plans to maintain the site's preservation. Dr. Gamal Mostafa, head of Islamic, Coptic, and Jewish Antiquities, noted the site's exceptional historical and religious the second-most significant pilgrimage destination after Jerusalem, Abu Mena was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1979. However, due to rising groundwater caused by nearby agricultural development, it was added to the endangered list in 2001. In response, Egypt launched a groundwater reduction project in 2019, which went operational in 2021 and has proven effective. Combined with restoration efforts, these actions fulfilled UNESCO's criteria for delisting, securing the site's future for generations to come. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean
