FIFA opens Trump Tower office

FIFA, the international soccer organization, opened an office at Trump Tower in New York ahead of Sunday's Club World Cup final.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino unveiled the winner's trophy at the building on Tuesday alongside President Trump's son, Eric Trump and former Brazilian soccer player Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima.
'A big thanks to United States President @realdonaldtrump, @erictrump, as well as the @whtaskforcefifa for all your support of the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup, which is uniting the world in peace, happiness, and joy. I also thank all attending FIFA Council members and FIFA Legends for your time today,' Infantino wrote in a Tuesday post on Instagram.
'As New York becomes the capital of world football over this week when we will crown the only official FIFA club world champions, and next year for the FIFA World Cup, I am delighted we will be present to serve our game from this global city,' he added.
The move comes a year after FIFA opened an office in Miami, according to reports from PoliticoEU.
FIFA is hosting both the 2025 Club World Cup and 2026 World Cup finals at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The president is reportedly expected to attend Sunday's Club World Cup final at MetLife stadium in New Jersey, a senior administration official told NBC News.
Infantino said 2.26 million fans from over 168 countries have attended the soccer tournament this week.
'This is what football does — what FIFA wants to do — to bring the world together, and our motto, as well, for this FIFA Club World Cup is to 'Unite for Peace,'' he wrote in a Monday statement on Instagram.
'We need peace in these troubled times, and we're all working in this direction.'
The White House is already preparing for the World Cup, set to be co-hosted by Mexico and Canada, by launching a task force for the large event in March.

Larsa Pippen just threw a big birthday party in Miami Beach. Who got the invite?

Larsa Pippen double-dipped in style Thursday night. The 'Real Housewives of Miami' star celebrated both the July 4 holiday and her 51st birthday at ORO restaurant in Miami Beach. Pippen, whose actual b-day was on Sunday, brought newish, younger boyfriend Jeff Coby, 31, as her hot date. Among the pictures shared on social media, only two of her current costars, Kiki Barth and Stephanie Shojaee, were on hand. It's unclear why the other ladies didn't attend the bash at the Lincoln Road hot spot, although we do know of one who likely wasn't invited — Lisa Hochstein. As seen in the first episode of season 7, the two divorcees got into a bit of a nasty tiff. Recap: Pippen was bothered that Hochstein and her boyfriend Jody Glidden still followed her ex-bf Marcus Jordan on Instagram. At Glidden's drama-filled birthday party, Hochstein shrugged it off, accusing Pippen of faking the breakup, and things escalated quickly. Though filming of the episode was completed months ago, an insider told the Miami Herald that the two women are still not getting along. So it's not a huge surprise to not see Hochstein there. As for the rest of the women, maybe they don't want to show their allegiance to either. At least one RHOM castmate is speaking out, and picking sides (sort of). 'I completely understand where Pippen is coming from,' Barth said on Page Six's 'Virtual Reali-tea' show late last month. The Haitian model went on to say she thinks it's inappropriate to follow friends' exes on social media when the relationship ended badly (which it did). Barth added that Glidden, as a man, 'can do whatever he wants to do.' As for Hochstein, she told People magazine she believes Pippen behaved insensitively while she was back home in Canada at her father's wake last fall. Roger MacCallum died in October. 'It was so bad,' the mother of two said. 'Larsa was fighting with me and sending text messages back and forth [regarding Marcus]. I was like, 'What are you doing?' Like, 'Please stop.'' Sigh, can't we all just get along? Paging peacekeeper Andy Cohen...

Fans React to Lauryn Hill Performing in Nearly Empty Stadium

Hip-hop icon Lauryn Hill's fans have reacted to the singer's performance in front of a nearly empty stadium at the recently conducted 2025 Essence Festival of Culture. Not only did the star arrive at the stage at a much later time than what was scheduled, but she ended up concluding her act at around 3.37 AM. On Friday, July 4, Lauryn Hill took to the stage in Louisiana as part of a star-studded lineup at the 2025 Essence Festival of Culture. The roster also included the likes of GloRilla, the Isley Brothers, Babyface, and Maxwell, with Coco Jones coming in as an unannounced performer. However, Hill sang in front of a nearly empty stadium after unprecedented delays occurred during the performances of those who preceded her. For instance, GloRilla ended her act at a time when the Isley Brothers had to finish their performance. Consequently, Maxwell took to the stage a few minutes before 1 a.m., further delaying Hill's arrival (via The Hollywood Reporter). As such, Hill, who is infamous for being late on her shows, has many fans debating on the internet following her performance at the nearly empty stadium in New Orleans. Most of the reactions seem to take Hill's side, instead putting the blame on the organizers. One X (formerly Twitter) user noted, 'The entire festival was pushed back. This was literally not her fault.' Another fan defended Hill, saying, 'I know we're used to Lauryn Hill not being on time, but the whole day ran late…This was on organizers and scheduling, not Ms. Lauryn Hill.' A third fan highlighted the delays in the concert before noting, 'If I'm Lauryn Hill, I'm probably cussing out Essence cause this is just unacceptable.' Essence Festival has addressed concerns regarding Hill's show in an Instagram post, stating that the Ex-Factor singer performing in front of a nearly empty crowd wasn't her fault, as 'she arrived on schedule.'
