Man dead after stabbing near Toronto's Woodbine Park

In a post to social media, officials say officers responded to reports of a stabbing at around 10:10 p.m. in the Eastern Avenue and Coxwell Avenue area. When they arrived, police say they located a male victim at the scene with injuries. He was then transported to hospital via emergency run, where he was later pronounced dead. Toronto police say their Homicide Unit has been notified and that an investigation is ongoing. No suspect information has been released.

Woman in her 20s critically injured after being struck by vehicle in Etobicoke

A woman in her 20 is suffering life-threatening injuries after reportedly being struck by a vehicle in Etobicoke Saturday night. Toronto police say the incident happened at Park Lawn Road and Berry Road just after 10:30 p.m. In a post to social media, they add that the victim was assessed by paramedics at the scene. There is no word on any charges, but police say Park Lawn Road was closed between Berry Road and Keywell Court as the investigation continued. Drivers were also advised to find alternate routes

Body of teen found in abandoned vehicle in southern Alberta

On Friday, Mounties received a report of an abandoned vehicle about 1.5 kilometres west of Glenwood, Alta. The girl's body was found inside. An autopsy is pending. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cardston RCMP Detachment at 403-653-4931 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 to remain anonymous. Glenwood is about 210 kilometres south of Calgary.
