Death in Paradise fans told to watch out for 'exhilarating' new crime series
Prime Video's new drama, which has been named the new Death in Paradise, is set to be added to the streaming platform in September
Prime Video viewers are in for a treat as a new crime drama, Hotel Costiera, is set to be added to the streaming platform soon.
Named the next big hit following Death In Paradise, this thrilling series promises to spice up your summer nights.

The show throws us into the world of Daniel De Luca, played by the charming Jesse Williams from Grey's Anatomy, who becomes an indispensable "fixer" at the lavish Hotel Costiera in Positano, only to be caught in a web of intrigue when a young girl is snatched.

Penned by the creative trio, Elena Bucaccio, Matthew Parkhill, and Francesco Arlanch, and filmed on location in Italy last year, viewers are buzzed with anticipation for its release on our screens soon.

The six part series follows the compelling narrative of half-Italian, ex-US marine Daniel De Luca, as he tackles his latest chapter amidst the opulence of one of the globe's finest hotels set against the breathtaking Positano coastline.

Mixing the high life with high stakes – very much echoing The White Lotus vibes – Daniel isn't just sorting out the troubles of the rich and famous; he's also entangled in the desperate search for Alice, a missing heiress.
Resolving this mystery may prove to be his toughest mission yet. In true Italian style, the series kicked off with a glamorous premiere in sunny Sicily's Taormina.
The Taormina Film Festival was the backdrop for a sneak peek of the first episode of Hotel Costiera, screened in an ancient Greek amphitheatre with Mount Etna looming in the distance.

Landing Jesse Williams, known for his role as Daniel "DD" De Luca, was a significant achievement, according to director Adam Bernstein: "It's an amazing opportunity for me to work with Jesse Williams on Costiera.
"I've always admired his work – both on stage and screen, and he's the first actor that came to my mind for the role of Daniel De Luca. Jesse provides a perfect combination of intelligence, charisma, and humour, and we're incredibly lucky to have him at the centre of our show."

Williams is joined by a stellar supporting cast of European actors in this sun-soaked production, including Maria Chiara Giannetta (Madly), Jordan Alexandra (Bridgerton, 3 Body Problem), Antonio Gerardi (This Is Not Hollywood), Sam Haygarth, Tommaso Ragno (Fargo, Luna Park), Amanda Campana, Pierpaolo Spollon, Alejandra Onieva (Alta Mar) and Jean-Hugues Anglade (Versailles).
Prime Video has confirmed that the full series, consisting of six episodes, will be available to watch from 24th September, so there's not long to wait.

They later headed over to The Symposium night club and danced until 2am, where according to MailOnline he was reportedly seen hugging her. The club is well known in the area and is owned by Hollyoaks hunk Ashley Taylor Dawson, who plays Darren Osborne on the show. Mum-of-one Molly shocked fans last year when she announced her split from Tommy. He was later accused of cheating on her with a 'blonde stranger' on a lads' holiday to Macedonia - something Tommy has repeatedly denied. The former Love Island star admitted yesterday that alcohol and partying was behind his split from the star, saying: 'We broke up because I had a problem with alcohol and I couldn't be the partner that I wanted to be anymore. "It kills me to say it, but I couldn't. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink.' She later sobbed as she recalled pleading with the boxer to ditch the alcohol during her sister Zoe's big day in July. In heartbreaking scenes in her warts-and-all Prime Video documentary, she said: 'At my sister's wedding I literally begged him, I pleaded with him to not drink. Molly Mae admits she 'begged and pleaded' with Tommy Fury not to drink at her sister's wedding "And … it's just really sad … I don't know why I'm crying now. It's just so sad. It just affected me.' She added: 'He wanted to have a family life but also have the life of a 25 year old boy with no responsibilities and the two don't go hand in hand. 'He's never had an alcohol problem, it's just that alcohol caused problems for us. "It got to a point where I wasn't really looking forward to anything because alcohol affected it so much.' However the pair managed to work past their problems and have since reconciled. They were spotted yesterday looking happier than ever on a family day out. Molly's rep declined to comment. Lincoln Lawyer fans should watch this upcoming drama set in the same universe ahead of series 4 debut

Lincoln Lawyer is expected to return for season four later this year or potentially early 2026 on Netflix. WARNING: This article contains spoilers from The Lincoln Lawyer. Lincoln Lawyer fans are eagerly waiting for the Netflix hit's comeback but in the meantime, there is another show from the works of author Michael Connelly on the way. ‌ Season three of Mickey Haller's (played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) dropped on Netflix in October 2024, ending with a cliffhanger, which could mean the charming lawyer is going to be put behind bars. ‌ Thankfully, that's not quite the end of the story just yet with The Lincoln Lawyer renewed for season four a few months later, although an official release date hasn't been announced. The Netflix legal drama is based on the award-winning book series by author Michael Connelly with series four expected to be based on his sixth novel, The Law of Innocence. But while fans wait for its return, another book set in Connelly's universe, as well as Prime Video's Bosch, is gearing up to come out. Based on the author's Renee Ballard book series, Ballard is the next crime drama to be released on Prime Video. Inspired by real-life LAPD Detective Mitzi Roberts, who was also a consultant on Bosch, Ballard is relentless and smart with a strong moral compass that guides everything that she does. ‌ In the books, she works on the LAPD midnight shift and focuses on her complicated relationship with being on the force as well as her own issues. Ballard will be portrayed by Designated Survivor actress Maggie Q who got her initial introduction during the series finale of Bosch: Legacy. ‌ She teamed up with Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) to work on the Flower Girls missing women case which has been deemed as the toughest of his career. Ballard will be released on Tuesday, July 9, on Prime Video and will consist of 10 episodes in total. Q will be joined by Fargo star John Carroll Lynch as Ballard's seasons partner Tomas Laffront, as well as actress Courtney Taylor as her ex-protégé Samira Park. It has already been confirmed that Welliver will reprise his role as Harry Bosch in the drama as it picks up after the Bosch: Legacy finale. As of yet, there has been no confirmation that Lincoln Lawyer star Garcia-Rulfo or any other members of the Netflix cast are going to feature.

My sister wants to wear a Bridgerton-style dress to my wedding – I think it's ‘too white', others say I'm overreacting

'Is she trying to look like she lives in 1800's London?' AISLE SAY My sister wants to wear a Bridgerton-style dress to my wedding – I think it's 'too white', others say I'm overreacting YOUR wedding day is meant to be one of the biggest and happiest days of your life. But things were left up in the air for one bride-to-be after her sister shared the dress she planned on wearing to the celebration. Advertisement 2 The bridesmaid dress looked too white for the bride's liking Credit: Reddit 2 The Bride was concerned by the gown's colour, but Reddit users had other worries Credit: Getty - Contributor Posting on Reddit, the bride explained that she had asked the female members of her family to wear blue, so they could collectively be her 'something blue'. But when her 19-year-old sister wanted to wear a pastel blue dress she wasn't sure what to make of it. "Am I being a bridezilla for thinking this is too bridal/not on the mark?" She asked fellow Reddit users after showing a picture of the garment. Although the dress was pale blue, it could easily look white under certain light. Advertisement Not only that, but the dress featured a white strip down the front, which many thought pushed the boundaries. "I thought this was a wedding dress at first," one person commented on the post. A second agreed: "It looks more white than blue. I would suggest a better colour, material, and style. The material looks heavy too." "That's nuts, it's obviously bridal, put your foot down," a third wrote. Advertisement Another comment read: "Is she a Bridgerton? Yeah, I can see why you don't like it is is very pale." And someone replied with a reference to the hit Netflix show: "Scrolled way too far for this haha. Immediately when I saw it, in my head I heard 'DAPHEEEEE, YOU MUST MAKE HASTE!' Meanwhile, others were more concerned by the style of the dress than the colour, as some slammed the dress as "matronly." Laura Nolan says 'yes to the Dress' One joked: "Is she trying to look like she lives in 1800's London?" "It looks like a set piece from Downton Abbey or Bridgerton," a second slammed. Advertisement "Tell her she can wear that dress on the prairie when she helps John-Boy with the potato crop," someone else chimed in. But others thought the dress was even worse than that. "I think it looks like a panty liner, with the absorbent strip down the centre. What an unfortunate dress," one said. Wedding Guest Outfit Etiquette If you're struggling to decided on a dress to see you through wedding season, here's a few rules on what not to wear so you don't get in trouble. Folklore says that wearing red at a wedding means you slept with the groom. Casual attire like jeans and flip flops should always be avoided. Any colour that could be picked up as white or cream - even if it's not. Most would agree that your cleavage needs to be covered. Wearing white is a massive no-no if you're not the bride. And another thought it looked more like toilet paper as they commented: "I'm sorry but that's the ugliest dress I've ever seen. It looks like crumpled up toilet paper. Tell her no." Advertisement After the responses, the bride decided to confront her sister over the dress, and luckily she agreed to ditch it. "I told her it would likely photograph super light during the day and offered to pay for another dress she would like to wear," she explained. The bride was praised for putting her foot down by many of the Reddit users. One said: "Good for you, it's your day and you shouldn't have to compromise." Advertisement "There are so many better dresses, help her pick something," another suggested.
