The Bear – Season 4 Episode 4 'Worms' Recap & Review
Worms
Episode 4 of The Bear season 4 begins with Adam Shapiro calling Sydney and asking her to come see the new place. She says she'll try but she eventually does make it. Shapiro shows her around the place and lays out his plans for the place.
Sydney then goes to her cousin Chantel's place to get her hair done but Chantel is forced to leave midway to get more hair extensions. Which leaves Sydney alone with her 11 year old daughter TJ. When TJ gets hungry, Sydney takes them out.
TJ talks about how all her friends are going to the same middle school next year, except for her. They've already planned a sleepover without her and only invited her because she stumbled upon them talking about it. Sydney tries to offer some comfort but ends up putting her foot in her mouth.
They buy supplies from the store and when they return to the house, Sydney cooks for them. While she does, Sydney tells TJ how she also has a similar situation where she has to choose between two sleepovers.
She says the first house feels very special but also crazy. The second is new and shiny and has unlimited pizza. She also brings up Carmy using the same analogy, saying he doesn't like to share and gets weird when she does too well. Sydney gets emotional as she rants about wanting to fix the first house.
Later, while they're eating, TJ gets a call from her friend and picks up the phone. It sounds like she will be going to the sleepover. Chantel then comes back soon and finishes up Sydney's hair. Sydney then tells Chantel they should go for a night out and Chantel points out how rarely hangs out with her.
As Sydney is leaving, TJ tells her that she spoke to her friend and will go to the sleepover. She also tells Sydney to work wherever she wants because she's a good cook. Sydney steps out and sees texts a series of confused texts from Carmy that signal the chaos at The Bear. She then calls Shapiro and asks him if he wants to go over some paperwork.
The Episode Review
Episode 4 is a Sydney episode! I'm not sure that we've had a full episode just focused on her before and this one, like most of the other solo character episodes, is a delight. Much like Tina's or Sugar's episodes from earlier seasons, this one allows us to learn more about Sydney's character and get some insight into her thoughts.
Having her hang out with her niece is a nice touch as it adds a lightness and sense of whimsy even as Sydney struggles with one of the biggest decisions of her life.
It's a heartwarming episode and the sleepover analogy works pretty well too. The full thirty minutes gives voice to Sydney's thoughts about The Bear, its particular craziness, Carmy's behaviour, and how she feels about it all.
The episode also points out how being busy has kept her from meeting Chantel and TJ more often. Ayo Edebiri absolutely knocks it out of the park and even with just her and Arion King (who offers a delightful portrayal of TJ) on our screens, the episode never falls short of being engaging.

A tiny Sydney Thai restaurant is the star of a new Netflix series - and it has Nigella Lawson's tick of approval: 'Best I've ever been to'
A hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Sydney 's Haymarket is an unlikely star in the new season of a popular Netflix TV series - and Nigella Lawson is already a fan. Last week, the eighth season of popular food show Somebody Feed Phil dropped on the global streamer - and it shone a spotlight on tiny Sydney Thai restaurant, Porkfat. The hit US TV show follows host Phil Rosenthal as he travels the world, explores new destinations, and of course, tastes delicious local cuisine. In episode six of the latest season, the American foodie headed to Sydney and Adelaide to visit some of the well-known local establishments and tourist spots. In Sydney, the presenter predictably visits iconic locations like Bondi Beach and Taronga Zoo, before dining at prestigious fine dining restaurants in the three-hatted restaurant Saint Peter and two-hatted Firedoor. The episode also saw the host pop by Messina for a scoop of their cult-favourite ice-cream. But where things got interesting was when Phil went off-script by heading to the fringe of Sydney's bustling Chinatown for a lowkey lunch at Porkfat. After sitting down for a meal, Phil raved in the episode that it was 'one of the best Thai places I've ever been to'. After the episode aired, the restaurant's own Instagram account shared a post about the TV star's visit, writing that it had been 'an honour' and 'absolute pleasure welcoming Phil Rosenthal to Porkfat'. 'Thank you for coming in, sharing our food, our city (and our kitchen) with the world,' the post read. The small 30-seater restaurant has been open since 2022 and is renowned for serving 'family-style' Thai cuisine. In that time, chef and owner Narin 'Jack' Kulasai and his partner Tanya Boonprakong have developed a loyal following of regular customers. But since Porkfat had a starring role in a hit Netflix show, the Sydney restaurateurs told FEMAIL that they've been inundated with visits from new diners wanting to experience their cuisine. 'After the Netflix series went on air, our restaurant is getting more busy and busy,' Jack confirmed to FEMAIL. The restaurant owner added that because they have such a limited dining space, they were actively encouraging would-be diners to make a booking ahead of their visit – although he added that they were still trying hard to accommodate as many walk-in customers as they could. 'We are only 30 seats, so we would recommend everyone to book a table first on our website,' Jack said. The influx of new curious patrons has also been compounded by repeat visits from celebrity customer, Nigella Lawson. The British TV host has made a point of stopping by the eatery on every visit she's made to Australian over the past three years. Nigella just recently dined again at Porkfat in June 2025, later sharing an Instagram post to her 3million followers saying that she 'can't stop thinking about the sensational pork larb at Porkfat'. 'I mean, everything I ate there was wonderful, as indeed it always is, but this is the dish – light, zingy, fresh and fiery, studded with those fabulous golden cubes of pork fat for which the restaurant is named – that rules my heart!' Nigella, 65, wrote. Jack confirmed the international cooking queen has ordered their signature dish annually for three years running. 'Nigella is so in-love with our Porkfat's Larb that she always has this menu item every time she visits us,' Jack said. But despite her celebrity status, the restaurant owner said Nigella always comes into the restaurant without any airs and graces. 'She books just like a regular customer – she books online and then she just comes,' he told Broadsheet. Porkfat restaurant owner and chef Narin 'Jack' Kulasai (centre) confirmed to FEMAIL that they'd been inundated with new diners since their starring role on the Netflix food series The simple menu at Porkfat is comprised of 10 regular dishes, four specials and one $18 dessert. In addition to the Porkfat's Larb, $38, some of their acclaimed menu items include their Crispy Pork Belly with Chilli Lime Nahm Jim, $23, Grilled Pork Jowl with Smoked Chilli Nahm Jim, $36 and Baked Mooloolaba King Prawns with Vermicelli, $43. The sole dessert is Amphawa's Homemade Coconut Ice Cream, $18, which is a coconut ice-cream topped with roasted peanuts, candied pumpkin and palm seeds.

Vin Diesel shocks as he announces VERY surprising return for final Fast & Furious film
Vin Diesel made quite the shocking announcement about the final Fast & Furious film over the weekend. The 57-year-old actor took the stage at Fuel Fest in Pomona, California on Saturday night, where he offered an update on Fast X Part 2. He was wearing a shirt that read, 'Fast X Part 2 Los Angeles Production 2025' while revealing his three demands to Universal Pictures for the final film. 'The studio said to me, "Vin, can we please have the finale of Fast and Furious [in] April 2027?"' Diesel said, confirming the release date. He continued, 'I said, "Under three conditions." First, is to bring the franchise back to L.A.! The second thing was to return to the car culture, to the street racing!' Diesel concluded, 'The third thing was reuniting Dom and Brian O'Conner,' referring to the late Paul Walker 's beloved character. Diesel was joined on stage by his co-star Tyrese Gibson, who shared a video of the fans screaming when he mentioned Dom and Brian O'Conner. The video shows Diesel adding, 'That is what you're gonna get in the finale! Love you!' he concluded, as the video showed Diesel giving Paul's mother Cheryl a hug. Gibson added, 'I've got love for every other city and every other country, but this Fast & Furious s**t started right here in L.A.' The first film - 2001's The Fast and the Furious - was indeed set in Los Angeles, following Walker's Brian O'Conner as an undercover LAPD cop sent to infiltrate Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and his crew. Walker was still filming 2015's Furious 7 when he died tragically in a car accident in November 2013. Production was halted for several months as the filmmakers tried to figure out how to deal with the Brian O'Connor character. When filming resumed, they decided to 'retire' the character, having him drive off into the sunset, leaving his criminal crew behind to spend more time with his family, set to the iconic Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth song See You Again for a poignant farewell. They used the late actor's brothers Cody and Caleb as stand-ins and digitally inserted the late actor's face on top of the brothers for the new shots. Brian O'Conner has never been seen in any of the subsequent Fast & Furious films, though he has been mentioned and he's still alive and well in the film universe. That will seemingly change in Fast X Part 2, with Diesel promising fans that they will in fact see Brian O'Conner again. It seems likely that they could either use unseen footage of Walker from the previous films or bring back Cody and Caleb Walker as stand-ins with Walker's face digitally added like they did on Furious 7. The Fast & Furious film franchise has grossed a whopping $7.2 billion at the global box office since its launch in 2001.

Jackie 'O' Henderson breaks silence on romance rumours with hunky NRL star Adam Muir after they were spotted on cosy stroll in Sydney
Jackie 'O' Henderson has shut down rumours she's dating former NRL star Adam Muir, after the pair were spotted together on a low-key stroll through Sydney's eastern suburbs. The 50-year-old radio queen was pictured walking alongside the retired footballer on Sunday, with fans quickly speculating that Jackie may have found a new man. But on Monday morning, she set the record straight live on The Kyle & Jackie O Show, confirming she is still single and laughed off the romance rumours. Gold Logie nominee and A Current Affair host Ally Langdon joined the show as a guest and cheekily probed Jackie on her apparent new flame. 'Not according to the paper today,' Ally said after Kyle joked Jackie was still 'slinging it out there with no buyers'. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Jackie responded with a laugh, 'I know, I know. Definitely.' Kyle then quipped, 'In all honesty, who goes for a walk with someone they're rooting? When you're rooting, you're rooting. You're not out.' Jackie quickly chimed in: 'You're in bed together. You're in the home.' Confirming once and for all that she's not romantically involved with the former Newcastle Knights player, Jackie said: 'That's right, Kyle. That's right, I guess… But no, I'm still single, Ally. So, I don't know.' Ally then cheekily replied: 'But you've got lots of options.' To which Jackie shrugged: 'You know, I'm coasting. It's fine, you know.' It comes after photos published over the weekend showed the KIIS FM presenter deep in conversation with Adam during a casual afternoon walk, sparking curiosity among fans about the nature of their relationship. The duo reportedly met through mutual friends, with Jackie dressed in a sporty pink Acne Studios T-shirt layered over a black long sleeve, while Adam, who now works in mining and lives in the Hunter Valley, looked relaxed in gym gear. The outing comes after the KIIS FM star revealed she was 'very happy' on Her Best Life podcast alongside her co-host and manager Gemma O'Neill. In a recent episode, Jackie confessed to having led 'sexless' relationships in the past but was now in 'such a good place'. 'In all my relationships, I have allowed it to get to a brother and sister dynamic,' she told Gemma in an emotional segment. The lack of intimacy led to Jackie feeling 'undesirable', making the partnership 'unfixable'. Still, Jackie said that her experience was not unique, with many of her friends having lived through a similar situation. 'The more I spoke to women, the more I realised this is actually really common in a lot of marriages. Like there's just no sex anymore,' she said. She then revealed that, despite her past rough patch, she was currently on the up. 'I feel like I've probably let go of everything and I just feel so content and happy right now,' she opened up. 'When you have no men troubles in your life, God, life's good. It just feels really freeing.' Jackie recently admitted she is struggling to let go of an ex. She discussed moving on while appearing on a recent episode of the Her Best Life podcast. The radio queen told co-host Gemma that she was dealing with heartbreak. Despite being 'over' the relationship, Jackie said that in her weaker moments she thinks, 'That's my person'. Jackie said she hoped to 'completely let go' of the man but admitted that she 'doesn't know how' - but agreed that the man 'didn't show up' for her. The media personality never disclosed who the man was and has been private about her dating life. She was last linked to former toyboy Jack Tyerman - who has since announced his engagement to another woman. Tyerman and his love Asha Dillon shared the news of their upcoming marriage late last year. Jackie also spoke about the relationship in August 2023. While Jackie admitted she was 'dating' at the time, she maintained she and Jack were 'just friends'. 'No, Jack is not my boyfriend. We're not in a relationship, not my boy toy,' Jackie told Kyle. 'Jack is a good friend of mine. I know him through a friend of ours. We didn't meet on a dating app or anything like that.' The media personality went on to say she was ultimately 'to blame' for the romance rumours after she told Daily Mail Australia she was dating someone during a Logies interview. 'In my mind, I'm dating and I've been on a few dates, so I said maybe [I'm dating], but I probably should have said, Maybe, we'll see what happens,' she confessed. Jackie's marriage to her ex-husband Lee Henderson fell apart in 2018. They share one daughter Kitty, 14.
