Greggs customers disappointed to see sandwich discontinued
The sandwich had consisted of spiced chicken and salad topped with chipotle mayonnaise, reports The Sun.
The newspaper said the replacement for the popular sandwich is the Sweet & Spicy Chicken Oval Bite.
Discontinued UK sweets/chocolates
Greggs said the sandwich is 'packed with slices of spicy chicken breast, pineapple chilli sauce, sliced mild Cheddar chilli cheese, crispy onions, spicy mayo and mixed leaves in a seeded roll'.
While the replacement is now available on the menu, fans of the Mexican Chicken Oval Bite have shared their disappointment at the sandwich disappearing from Greggs' shelves.
On Reddit, someone said it had been their 'go-to sandwich for about 15 years'.
Another said: 'Damn these were one of my favourites. Also one of the few sandwiches my daughter would eat!'
This Greggs customer said: 'Well there goes my greggs buying. I used to only get the Mexican chicken in one form or other. I don't like too much spice, and they were perfect.'

Another Reddit user offered Greggs fans some hope: 'They've been replaced by the spicy chipotle baguette and They're very similar'.
A Greggs spokesperson told Newsquest: 'The Mexican Chicken Oval Bite is taking a well-deserved rest to make room for our brand-new Sweet & Spicy Chicken Oval Bite which has recently landed in shops.'
The news of the menu change follows Greggs' exciting holiday giveaway that offered a three-night all-inclusive package holiday at the four-star Iberostar Selection Marbella Coral Beach for the price of the iconic menu item - a sausage roll. The giveaway is now closed.

In a video posted to Facebook, Sean said: 'Exciting news! We've just picked up the keys to a new shop.' "We've just picked up the keys to a new shop,' adding: 'We've wanted to come to Horsham for a long time. "We've got family down here and love this place.' The new site will be located at 102 Blackbridge Lane, and Sean described it as a 'quirky little site' that he hopes will be a welcome addition to the community. 'We're all about community and we love little community shops,' he told the County Times. The opening marks a full year since the family-run bakery launched its first Sussex branch in Maidenbower, Crawley, and the team say they've had their eyes on Horsham ever since. Coughlans, founded in Thornton Heath, south London, back in 1937, has grown into a fan-favourite across the south-east. Despite flying under the radar for years, it now boasts 31 shops and a loyal following. The bakery is famous for its enormous sausage rolls, eye-popping doughnuts, indulgent cakes, and extensive vegan range – all made fresh daily using traditional recipes passed down through three generations of the Coughlan family. Greggs Steak & Cheese roll appeal Romesh joined the business in 2024 after falling in love with the bakery's values – and its baked goods. Not content with just investing, the Weakest Link host rolled up his sleeves and served behind the counter at both the Crawley and Dorking shops earlier this year. Sean said: 'He likes to get stuck in.' Romesh, who lives locally, said at the time: 'I'm the most excited about this announcement because there is something that I've wanted to get involved with for a long, long time and it is... Coughlan's Bakery.' He joked alongside Sean in a clip: 'I'm gonna be doing more baking, he's going to be doing more stand-up comedy.' Coughlans has earned cult status online, with fans on social media boldly claiming its sausage rolls are 'better than Greggs'. One fan said they 's**t all over Greggs,' while others insisted the taste and size are in a different league. Still, customers do pay more for the artisan goods. A small sausage roll at Coughlans costs £2.05, compared to £1.65 at Greggs. Other items, like the tuna mayo salad baguette, can also cost over a pound more. But many loyal customers say it's worth it. Despite its rapid growth, Sean says the bakery is still rooted in the same values Jack Coughlan started with: good-quality handmade food, supporting local suppliers, and putting community first. Vinted makes algorithm change to shopping feeds leaving customers fuming
VINTED users claim they're struggling to make sales after the marketplace made an apparent algorithm change to its app. Social media forums have been flooded with comments from Vinted sellers who say their listings are suddenly getting no views and their sales have dropped dramatically. One seller complained they hadn't sold anything in weeks. "I've sold nothing since 10th of May! Literally nothing!!!! The price is ok and affordable," they said. Another wrote: "I've gone from 500 views and really fast sales within a couple of hours listing to 5 views and no sales. I've reduced my prices significantly and still no takers. It's a junk yard." Someone else said they had gone from selling £200 worth of items in two days to selling only one item in a week. Vinted was approached by The Sun but did not confirm whether any particular changes had been made. It has said it will sometimes test and trial changes or new features and will often ask users for feedback on them. However Vinted users have suggested the algorithm may have changed - and they've also spotted changes to the app's layout. Vinted is one of the most popular marketplace platforms in the UK, where you can buy and sell unwanted clothes. More than 16million people in the UK are currently signed up to the site. The app has a main newsfeed on its homepage where users are shown listings from sellers that they might be interested in. I've made £200 on Vinted in 24 hours - the 9 items that are flipping FAST & the retro product to always pick up Buyers can either browse items here or they can search for specific things they want. Users recently noticed a change to the main newsfeed. The home screen had previously shown buyers different sections including popular items, items they had favourited and items from different brands they had shown interest in. Now it's been replaced by a large Recommended for You section. Users can still scroll down to find their Favourites but the other sections have disappeared. The Favourites section is also still visible on your user profile. It's not clear whether the change to the newsfeed will have had any impact on sales for sellers. But they say they're struggling to make sales because their items aren't getting enough views any more. Some are blaming a possible algorithm change as well as the new layout. One person complained: "Things that would get at least 20 views within a day are getting zero or stagnating at low views. Cant tell you how many times I've retaken photos/reuploaded and still NO CHANGE!" Another said: "Had the same experience, has some things up for a few days that have 0 views." While a third wrote: "Yes happening to me too, getting hardly any views and no favourites on items that normally gather likes quick. My items are not getting viewed… currently prioritising EBay …" Other Vinted changes Meanwhile, buyers claim the items they're being recommended by Vinted's algorithm are no longer items they would be interested in. Some said their feeds were "weird" and showing them the same items repeatedly. One person said: "I'm a buyer not a seller but recently the vinted algorithm went funky and has been showing me loads of stuff I've never searched for and am not interested in." Another said their recommendations were "being flooded with s***** ornaments and homewares", adding that they hadn't bought or sold anything in weeks. Vinted's algorithm looks at users' account preferences, history and interactions with listings to decide what items to recommend. According to its website, it ranks where to show items on your newsfeed using factors including: How recently an item was uploaded The number of clicks and favourites it's had already Where the seller is based Price The item's condition. How to boost your Vinted sales If you've noticed a dip in your sales, you should try these tricks from top sellers. Long-time Vinted seller Melanie Monchar (@melaniemonch on Vinted), has more than 400 five-star reviews and has been selling for four years. The mum-of-three told The Sun her checklist for making more sales: Photos "stop the scroll" when buyers are looking so it's important they are clear, taken in natural lighting and show off the item. Iron any creases and make sure they look clean. Use a nice background. Find the best title. Use keywords that buyers are searching for. Price it right. Look what items sell for on Vinted and elsewhere. You can do this by looking on eBay using the 'sold items' function. Use the 'show only' filter on the left-hand side of the screen and then select 'sold items'. Timing is everything. Think about the time of year you're selling - make sure your listings are seasonal. Melanie recently sold give summer dresses within an hour of them going live as hot weather hit the UK. Use the description. Make sure you have a detailed description of each item, and include any flaws for transparency. Melanie likes to include measurements and fabric type, and she'll also use relevant hashtags in all her listings. Another top seller, Chloe Chandler, has cashed in more than £4,000 through Vinted. She says another common mistake people make is leaving items active for too long. "After a month, say even three weeks, remove the item and re-upload it, especially during payday weekend," she says. "I work at Vinted - my five ways to shift your items fast" WANT an insider's tips to selling your items fast? Natacha Blanchard from Vinted has exclusively dished her secrets to selling success. Time it right. If you upload just before the weekend it will maximise your chances of getting a sale because the weekend is the most popular time for people to browse Vinted. Bank Holidays are another great time to list items. Sell complementary items at the same time. If you're selling a few items that work well together as an outfit, mention them in your description and point people towards your other items. Mention trends. If your item fits into a certain fashion trend or style you should mention in the description. For example, "Y2K", "boyfriend jeans" or "quiet luxury". Make your photos look their best. Your first photo should clearly show the entire item from the front. Photos are best taken against a plain, white or neutral background. With lighter-coloured items, use a darker background to create contrast. Capture multiple angles and take close-ups of details, including of any flaws. The more photos you take, the better. Make sure the price is right. A good rule of thumb is that for items "new with tags" or "new without tags", a good suggested price is 60-80% of the retail price. For "very good" condition, try 40-60% of the retail price. For "good" or "satisfactory", go for 20-40%.

‘Incredible' fast food chain from Australia to open 100 new UK stores
It's been called 'the best Mexican on the market' – and now this Aussie-born favourite is planning to take over the UK. The popular fast food chain Zambrero, known for its customisable burritos and burrito bowls, is set to open 100 new UK restaurants by 2030. The Mexican-inspired chain first launched in London in 2021 and has since expanded to 13 locations, including Manchester, Birmingham, Essex and Reading. But it's not stopping there. Zambrero has confirmed more UK sites are on the way next year, including its very first Scottish location. 'We've had a lot of interest in the brand during the last couple of years – and now is the right time for us to expand through our franchise partners and work towards opening 100 restaurants by 2030,' Emily Teh, CEO of Zambrero UK, said. So, what's on the Zambrero menu? Customers can build their own burritos and bowls, nachos and quesadillas from a range of fillings, including pulled pork, chicken, cauliflower and spicy black rice, with salsa, cheese, sour cream and guacamole to top it off. Prices start from around £10 for a small burrito or burrito bowl, with larger sizes coming in closer to around £13. It'll also cost you extra for chips and guac, and churros. Zambrero is probably best known for its burritos and burrito bowls, and some customers have called them the best around. One reviewer raved on TikTok about the Manchester location, calling it 'incredible' and claiming it had 'the best burrito in town'. Founded in Canberra, Australia, in 2005, Zambrero has become the largest Mexican restaurant chain in both Australia and Ireland. With more than 300 global sites, it's now aiming to expand into the UK lunch scene. Social media is filled with praise, and TripAdvisor reviews are equally glowing. 'An absolute must go. I have 3 / 5 of my lunches there. Best Mexican on the market,' one customer wrote. Another called it 'the perfect work lunch spot', and if the expansion goes to plan, you might be seeing one open near your office sooner than you think. It's not the only popular fast food chain expanding in the UK. One burger joint from the Netherlands is also planning to open 100 new UK sites. More Trending Fat Phill's, which is said to be home to Amsterdam's 'best burger', quietly launched in Clapham Junction in London at the end of 2024, serving up smash burgers, American-style sandwiches, loaded fries and mac and cheese. The chain, also known as Fat Phill's Diner, is still relatively new, having only been founded in 2019 by Armin Vahabian, but it's already got 18 locations across the Netherlands. It's been brought over here by Freshly Baked Ltd, the franchisor behind pretzel joint Auntie Anne's UK, and as part of this deal, there are plans to open several more sites on London high streets in the near future and develop up to 100 sites nationwide over the next 10 years. View More » Multiple sites also look set to roll out across Ireland by 2030. Zambrero has 13 different stores across five UK locations. These include: London: Cannon Street, Eastcheap, Kentish Town, Battersea, Crouch End, Twickenham Essex: Chelmsford and Loughton Reading: Queen Victoria Street Birmingham: Bull Ring and Colmore Row Manchester Cross Street and Manchester Picadilly Do you have a story to share?
