WhatsApp to add ‘Quick Recap' feature to summarise multiple chats at once, report says
As per the screenshot of the feature shared by WABetaInfo, to access Quick Recap, users will be able to go to the Chats tab, choose multiple conversations, tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, and select the Quick Recap option. Once activated, Meta's in-house AI will process unread messages and produce a summarised version of what's been discussed — offering a quick and clean way to catch up.Safety concerns The report notes that the Quick Recap feature is integrated with Meta's Private Processing technology, which promises a privacy-first approach that ensures user messages remain confidential even during AI processing. Meta earlier noted that its Private Processing uses end-to-end encryption, secure enclaves, and isolated computation to protect data. As a result, neither WhatsApp nor Meta can view the original messages or the generated summaries. The AI never processes readable data outside the secure enclave, safeguarding content even during summarisation.Optional feature Additionally, the report noted that this new Quick Recap feature will be completely optional for users. It will need to be enabled manually through Settings and won't be turned on by default. Any chats protected by WhatsApp's Advanced Chat Privacy settings will automatically be excluded from the feature.Official availability expected soon As for availability, the Quick Recap feature is currently available only in preview via the Android beta channel. WhatsApp is expected to roll it out gradually to testers in future beta builds before releasing it more widely to all Android users.- Ends

This Matchmaking app allows Only Men Earning 50L+. Women, No Salary Bar
Last Updated: A new elite matchmaking app, has put a policy of allowing only high earning single men on its platform, whereas females have no salary cap. Gurgaon, Haryana, India – Business Wire India The AI matrimonial app for 'India's Top 1%" – is now requiring male members to earn at least 50 lakhs annually, along with 100% background verification and having personal relationship managers for each member. The company believes this approach will better serve women on the platform. Built for serious relationship seekers, is India's first matchmaking platform that uses conversational AI and human-assisted matchmaking to deliver emotionally compatible matches. Co-founded by Jasveer Singh and Abhishek Asthana, is unlike other traditional matrimony platforms that rely on filters and swipes, listens, learns, and understands. Users don't fill out endless forms — they simply talk. In just a few minute AI conversation, the system captures personality nuances, emotional depth, and communication patterns to match users with high compatibility. 'As the name suggests, it's not a dating app; It's for people who are tired of dating & ready to tie the knot," said Jasveer Singh, Co-founder & CEO. When asked about the harsh 50L filter: 'It's not about the money – it's about ambition," Singh adds. 'We needed a hard filter that creates clarity, not chaos. 50L is that line in the sand. It tells you something about who someone is, how they think, and where they're headed." The app is now live on Android, iOS, and Web. Early adopters have already praised its clean design, zero-spam onboarding, and deeply personal matchmaking approach. Backed by marquee investors like 3one4 Capital, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Ritesh Agarwal, Ashish Hemrajani, Kunal Shah, and Ashneer Grover, had earlier raised $3.2M during its Hood journey. With this public launch, the company enters a new chapter — one led by AI, human intuition, and the real pursuit of marriage. Mark Zuckerberg offered Rs 862 crore salary to lure Anthropic AI engineers, co-founder says his team refused
Meta has been aggressively poaching top AI talent across the industry, offering staggering compensation packages. The company is building its Superintelligence Team and is aiming to dominate the AI field. However, not everyone is taking the bait. Anthropic co-founder and CEO, Dario Amodei, recently revealed that while Meta has dangled offers as high as $100 million (around Rs 862 crore) to recruit top artificial intelligence researchers, his mission-driven team has largely resisted the a recent episode of Lenny's Podcast, Anthropic executive Jared Kaplan opened up about the intense hiring war sweeping the AI industry. Without naming names directly, he pointed to massive signing bonuses offered by the likes of Meta, which he revealed have been turned down by his colleagues. 'They get these offers and then they say, 'Well, of course I'm not going to leave because my best-case scenario at Meta is that we make money, and my best case at Anthropic is we affect the future of humanity,'' Kaplan said. 'To me, it's not a hard choice.'Though he acknowledged that personal circumstances vary, he made it clear that his own priorities lie with Anthropic's long-term mission rather than immediate financial windfalls. 'My best-case scenario at Meta is that we make money, and my best case at Anthropic is we affect the future of humanity and try to make AI flourish and human flourishing go well,' he said. 'For anybody who does get those mega offers and accepts them, I can't say I hold it against them.' When asked about the hefty, outsized compensation packages, Kaplan confirmed the reality. 'I'm pretty sure it's real,' he said when asked about the $100 million signing bonus figure. 'To pay individuals like $100 million over a four-year package—that's actually pretty cheap compared to the value created for the business.'Kaplan's comments come amid the escalating arms race for AI talent. Meta has reportedly been offering unprecedented sums to lure researchers away from rival firms, including OpenAI and Anthropic. In June, Meta even brought in Scale AI CEO Alexandr Wang to lead a new "superintelligence" unit, alongside six researchers poached from OpenAI. The company is also not shying away from offering nine-figure compensation packages to top AI minds. These packages often include a combination of base salary, substantial signing bonuses, and significant equity the competition, Anthropic says it's been more resilient than most. 'People here are so mission-oriented,' Kaplan said, stressing that many employees aren't swayed by nine-figure offers when they feel they're contributing to something more Perplexity AI CEO Aravind Srinivas recently weighed in on the trend, saying companies must offer more than just money to retain top people. 'You're encountering new kinds of challenges. You feel a lot of growth, you're learning new things. And you're getting richer, too, along the way. Why would you want to go just because you have some guaranteed payments?' he Srinivas admitted to being 'surprised by the magnitude' of the offers which Meta has been reportedly sending to poach the employees, He said that with this much of investment, 'failure is (certainly) not an option' for the Meta's team.- Ends
