SEC Football 2025 All-Conference Team
SEC Football 2025 All-Conference Team originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The 2025 All-SEC Team is led by 17 selections from Georgia, with Texas (15), and Alabama (14) headlining the next tier of teams with the most picks on the all-conference squad. Advertisement With the release of the Athlon Sports 2025 College Football Preview Magazine, it's time to take a look at the best of the best and honor the top players in the league with a release of first, second, third and fourth all-conference teams for '25. An important note on the all-conference teams: These are based on how players will perform in 2025. Career statistics and awards matter in the evaluation, but choosing players for the 2025 all-conference team is largely based on predicting and projecting the best for the upcoming year. Auburn's Jordan-Hare Stadium Ranking for EA Sports College Football 26 Revealed
Auburn's Jordan-Hare Stadium Ranking for EA Sports College Football 26 Revealed originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Auburn Tigers have not won more than six games since 2019, but Jordan-Hare Stadium still makes opposing teams uneasy. Advertisement The prestigious venue came in at No. 17 in the EA Sports College Football 26 toughest places to play rankings. The toughest places to play rankings factor into how difficult it is for away teams to be able to call plays, audibles and even see routes the receivers are running in the game. The feature was introduced in last year's game, EA Sports College Football 25, ending a nearly 10-year hiatus in the video game franchise's history. Before last year, the previous edition in the series was NCAA Football 14 in 2013. Auburn Tigers head coach Hugh Freeze greets fans. © Jake Crandall/ Advertiser / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images Auburn has never had a former player grace the cover in the video game series. The standard edition of the game will have Alabama Crimson Tide star Ryan Williams and Ohio State Buckeyes wideout Jeremiah Smith. The deluxe edition features various athletes and fans of schools that are in the game. Advertisement Auburn got off to a decent start at home last season, going 2-1 in its first three games. The Tigers then dropped games to the Arkansas Razorbacks and Oklahoma Sooners at home. The team lost the following home game to the Vanderbilt Commodores before recovering, winning its final two games of the 2024 season at Jordan-Hare Stadium over UL Monroe and the Texas A&M Aggies. While the July 10 release of the game is exciting for Auburn fans, the Tigers' recent recruiting endeavors have been anything but. Auburn lost the race for tight end Xavier Tiller to the Florida State Seminoles. The team has also had longtime commits Devin Carter and Shadarius Toodle flip to different programs. Carter flipped from Auburn to Florida State and Toodle switched his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs. Advertisement Auburn begins the 2025 season against the Baylor Bears on August 30. CFB Analyst Reveals Key to Auburn's Offensive Success in 2025
CFB Analyst Reveals Key to Auburn's Offensive Success in 2025 originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Auburn Tigers were one of the worst teams in college football in terms of turnover margin in 2024. Advertisement The Tigers ranked 120th in college football, with a margin of (-9). However, On3's JD PicKell discussed how Auburn could right the ship this season. He believed it would all come down to Oklahoma Sooners transfer Jackson Arnold on a recent edition of "The Hard Count." Arnold played in 10 games, with nine starts, last season, throwing for 1,421 passing yards, 12 touchdowns, and three interceptions. While the interceptions do not look too bad, Arnold struggled more with fumbles last season. He fumbled the ball nine times in 2024. Oklahoma Sooners QB Jackson Arnold.© William Purnell-Imagn Images "Auburn's success in 2025 offensively will go with the confidence of one Jackson Arnold," PicKell said. "Because when you play confident football, you usually play efficient football. Efficient football equates to somewhat low mistake football. Which is what plagued Arnold at Oklahoma." Advertisement Arnold was not the starter for long at Oklahoma last season. After a rough start against the Tennessee Volunteers, where he threw one interception and lost two fumbles, he was benched. Michael Hawkins Jr. started the next three games before Arnold was put back in the starting role for the remainder of the season. Fast forward to 2025, and Arnold is expected to compete for the starting job at Auburn. The Tigers added a solid weapon for the quarterback to use in former Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets receiver Eric Singleton Jr. In other recruiting news for Auburn, the Tigers were dealt a tough blow with five-star running back Ezavier Crowell after he committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Advertisement The team did make history with one of its recent commitments, however. Three-star offensive tackle Nikau Hepi was the first player from the NFL Academy Asia-Pacific campus to commit to a United States college. Hepi is a three-star prospect via 247Sports and hails from New Zealand. Arnold and Auburn kick off the 2025 season against the Baylor Bears on August 29.
