'Released Kaizer Chiefs striker has similar style to Erling Haaland'
The 32-year-old big forward was released by the club on Wednesday after just two seasons. Ranga scored just nine goals in 45 matches during his time at Naturena.
Speaking to KickOff, Moloi said that Chivaviro did not play to his full potential, hence Kaizer Chiefs decided not to renew his contract.
'While I cannot say I'm disappointed he's gone, it's true that he didn't meet expectations,' he told KickOff.com.
'However, I also cannot say he failed at Chiefs. We can only conclude that he didn't meet the coach's expectations and didn't play to his full potential.
'Perhaps Nabi is not the type of coach who prefers a target man, and Chivaviro was just used because he was already part of the club's strike force.
'The injuries reported (about him) when he joined Chiefs might have negatively affected his performances. Now that the season is over, the coach is releasing him to make room for new strikers who might be signed.
'I believe Chivaviro is a target man,' the ex-Kaizer Chiefs star added.
'He holds the ball for teammates and has a style similar to Erling Haaland. He makes effective movements outside the box.
'With his height and power, Chivaviro could be deadly inside the box. However, sometimes he finds himself on the left or right, running away from the box.
'If he had remained positioned in the box, he could have scored many goals.'
Despite Chivaviro, Kaizer Chiefs parted ways with Njabulo Blom and Sabelo Radebe.

'He must make a good impression' – Kaizer Chiefs legend on Silva
Kaizer Chiefs legend Tsepo Masilela has advised new signing Flavio Silva to quickly adapt to his new environment before the season begins. The 29-year-old Portuguese forward has yet to impress during the four pre-season matches that Amakhosi played in the Netherlands. In his debut match, Silva appeared lacklustre and struggled with ball control at times, leaving some fans concerned about the team's need for a quality striker. Speaking to Peter du Toit on Soccer Beat , Masilela urged Kaizer Chiefs fans not to be overly harsh on Silva, as he has only recently joined the club. 'Pre-season is very important Peter, for everyone involved, you know, not just the strikers. If you want to have a solid season individually, you need to work hard during the pre-season camp. That's where you load the fuel to take you all the way…so it's very important,' he said. 'I know he is new, we don't want to be hard on the guy because he just joined the team and it's a new environment, new teammates, everything is new to him. it's important to make that first impression, especially to the fans. To give everyone confidence, then when we come back home, we have someone we can count on,' said the former Bafana Bafana defender. Masilela said Silva needs to adapt quickly or else Kaizer Chiefs fans might start becoming impatient. 'If you don't start well in pre-season, it already gives a negative impact on the people. Once you play one bad game in the league, they say, 'but what did you expect, we've seen enough during pre-season, this guy is not going to help us'. You need to get result for the confidence of the team,' he said. Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 0211.
