Coronation Street legend tells shocking cancer lie as his colleague reels
Chemotherapy sessions have left him weak and tired, and he's also had the emotional stress of learning about his sister's Debbie (Sue Devaney)'s own diagnosis of dementia.
Luckily our Kev has the support of his loyal wife Abi (Sally Carman) and his loving brother Carl (Jonathan Howard). But recently Kevin has found out that Carl is harbouring romantic feelings for Abi – and that she's trying her best to deny that she feels the same.
Kevin recently rumbled what was going on after he saw a message from Carl on Abi's phone saying he'd like to get to know her better. Abi subsequently warned Carl off and then told Kevin that Carl was responsible for some sloppy workmanship in the garage.
When Kevin saw on CCTV that Abi had tampered with the car Carl was working on, he accused them of having an affair. Abi denied it, but said she was annoyed by Carl's texts, laying all the blame on him. But then Kevin saw Abi hugging his brother after she told him she felt bad for lying to Kevin – and obviously that set him thinking.
In upcoming episodes, Kevin heads to a hospital appointment to find out whether his cancer treatment has been successful. Nervously, he goes into the consultant's office, braced for whatever news might come next.
Meanwhile, Abi is angry when she gets back from a callout to find Carl in the garage with his feet up. He reiterates that he can't stop thinking about her and he's convinced she feels the same, but she insists that it's Kevin she loves and she's happy with her life.
Back in the Street, Kevin tells Carl that he's been given the all-clear and the cancer has gone. However, this is not what he's told Abi. She tells Carl that Kevin has told her he's going to need another round of chemo.

When Kevin strains his groin playing football with Jack (Kyran Bowes), Abi is concerned and tells him he needs to tell his family the truth. He tells Debbie and Tyrone (Alan Halsall) that, unfortunately, the cancer didn't respond to the treatment he's had so far and he needs to have more chemo. More Trending
It's not long before he has a change of heart, and explains to Tyrone that his previous account was a lie. The chemo has worked and he's now cancer-free.
Tyrone is obviously stunned that Kevin would do something as shocking and hurtful as telling his family that he's still seriously unwell.

Cain makes big promise to Kyle in emotional Emmerdale scenes
Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) will always be someone who can make Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) feel better in Emmerdale. Cain has been struggling in the wake of learning his son Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) was killed last year. Instead of spending time simply grieving for Nate and trying to move forward though, he's faced a tirade of abuse from Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh). Practically from the very start, Tracy has convinced herself that Cain killed Nate. As a result, she has faced off with him a number of times, with Tracy trying her best to push the theory onto other members of the village. Because she's certain that Cain is a murderer, she's banned him from Nate's funeral. A couple of days ago, Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) tried to help the situation, but she made it worse and ended up getting the entire Dingle family banned from the event. Yesterday, Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) helped Cain view the upcoming funeral from a different perspective. He eventually warmed to the idea that the Dingles could organise their own memorial for Nate, and remember him in their own special way. After discussing this with Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb), Cain was touched when she suggested they could also dedicate a corner of a field to Nate as well. That way, after the memorial, people can go and visit the land at any time and reflect on his life. In this evening's episode, Kyle arrived at the garage to see his dad. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Cain was stressed and had a lot on his mind. More Trending Kyle presented Cain with an envelope full of pictures of Nate. He said that they could pin them up at the memorial and also play his favourite song, which turned out to be one by Steps. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Cain was touched at the effort Kyle had gone to. He admitted to his son that he made a lot of mistakes with Nate, but reassured Kyle and said he won't make the same ones with him and Isaac (Bobby Dunsmuir). Cain then hugged Kyle. He has lost a lot in recent months, and his relationship with Nate will be something Cain feels regret over potentially for the rest of his life, but he knows he has the power to do things differently with Kyle and Isaac. Lorraine looked stylish in a blue dress that was nipped in at the waist and fell to just above the knee. She covered up in a pair of huge sunglasses and teamed her outfit with some casual flip flops. It was revealed in July 2023 that Lorraine was being written out of EastEnders after playing iconic character Karen Taylor for seven years. She later opened up about her sudden exit from the soap, confessing to experiencing a 'mix of emotions' after receiving the news. Lorraine told The Sun: 'I was sad, it was a mix of emotions, it's sad but it's exciting as now I can go and do what I want. "You can get a bit relaxed there and a bit comfortable. So I want to be out of my comfort zone. 'I just want people to remember her as the best mum on the square, a heart of gold, she'd give you her last fiver and would do anything for her kids - a bit like myself.' But it wasn't long before Lorraine landed a huge new role, in gritty British film Departures. She starred alongside fellow soap legends Hollyoaks hunk David Tag and Coronation Street's Kimberly Hart-Simpson. But actress Lorraine was quick to hit back: 'Daughter. #motherdaughter is a bit of a clue."

Iconic London nightclub set for one last party before closing its doors for good
An iconic London club that was a 'coming of age' venue for locals is closing for good this month. PRYZM Kingston, which has hosted Stormzy, Rod Stewart and Billie Eilish, is shutting up shop after one last hurrah on July 13. Londoners and music industry insiders have told Metro of their despair that the 18-year-old hotspot and concert venue is having its swan song after more than 20 years. The club on Clarence Street closed its disco room at 3.30am on June 28 but will welcome partygoers for one final night in the main room on July 12. Rob Anderson, who works in the music industry, said PRYZM put Kingston on the map. He told Metro: 'PRYZM Kingston has massively boosted the area when it comes to the music industry. It's hosted everyone from Billie Eilish and Tate McRae to Shania Twain and Stormzy.' For many, though, PRYZM was the moment they first experienced the joys of sipping a vodka Red Bull and partying till the early hours. Nick Wilson, 27, told Metro he used to go as a fresh 18-year-old after school. 'With the Wetherspoons opposite, it was the perfect conveyor belt for an average night out,' he added. 'I think it's definitely a coming-of-age club for the locals at least. 'Lots of people mention it when I talk about Kingston. People travel from the suburbs just to go.' The nightclub's owner, Neos, announced earlier this year that it had submitted plans to convert the Grade II-listed building into two new venues. One will be a 'party bar' called Bonnie Rogues on the ground floor, and a new nightclub called Circuit on the first and second. For Metro lifestyle reporter Jessica Hamilton, it was PRYZM's carpeted and 'sticky' floor which she'll reminisce about most even when a new club comes along. She recalled her visit there for a Sophie Ellis Bextor concert: 'It's a shame it's shutting down because they do so many events there 'It had a really good atmosphere for the gig and was very intimate though.' Club regulars are still waiting to see what happens to the nightlife hotspot next before passing judgment. More Trending Nick said: 'I can't be sad until I see what it turns into, could be better' Russell Quelch, the CEO of Neos, who bought the club after previous owners, Rekom UK, went bust, said they want the site to continue being a night out favourite for Londoners. He added: 'Thousands of people have made memories that will last them a lifetime, from over 20 years of amazing nights out at PRYZM and Oceana before it. 'The closure is the end of a long running chapter for the Kingston club scene, but it's time to look to the future and reimagine what this site could hold, in a fresh new look at nightlife for next generation of UK party lovers.'
