Ottawa police seek help to ID Bank Street robbery suspect

Ottawa police are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect involved in a commercial robbery that occurred Sunday in the 200 block of Bank Street.
At approximately 6:30 p.m. on July 27, a store employee spotted a man stealing merchandise.
When the employee attempted to intervene, the suspect assaulted the staffer and fled on foot.
The suspect was described as a Caucasian man between 40 and 50 years old and standing about five feet seven inches tall with a large build, and balding.
At the time of the incident, he wore a grey and blue shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes and was carrying a reusable shopping bag.
The suspect had several tattoos, including a cross and a flower on his left forearm.

Emergency crews responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle at approximately 2:35 p.m. Tuesday. The motorcyclist was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Ottawa Police Service said Friday evening the motorcyclist died in hospital. Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage of the incident. When an employee attempted to stop the man, police allege the man assaulted the employee and then left the store. The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his 40s, approximately 5-foot-7 (170 cm) tall with a large build and thinning brown hair and a beard. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a grey and blue shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes, and was carrying a reusable shopping bag. The suspect has several tattoos, including a cross and a flower on his left forearm.
