Samsung teases its next Galaxy Z foldable phone that reached 'a new milestone'

Time of India10-06-2025
Samsung
has started to generate significant buzz for its upcoming generation of foldable smartphones. The South Korean company has teased the next-generation foldable smartphone. While an official launch date remains under wraps, the South Korean tech giant has intensified its teasing campaign, most recently hinting at a major breakthrough in
foldable design
and durability.
In its latest promotional video, Samsung claimed that the
new Galaxy Z Series
will represent the 'thinnest, lightest and most advanced foldable' yet. A 9-second video from Samsung focuses on a thin design, which is believed to be of the purported
Galaxy Z
Fold 7. The company states it has achieved a "new milestone" in refining the design of its foldable line.
"This year, that journey reaches a new milestone. The newest Galaxy Z series is the thinnest, lightest and most advanced foldable yet — meticulously crafted and built to last," Samsung said.
While Samsung avoided specific model names or detailed specifications in its tease, the message "The Ultra experience is ready to unfold" strongly suggests a premium and refined user experience.

What to expect from the next Samsung Galaxy Z Fold
While Samsung has not revealed the names of its next foldable phones, reports have suggested that the phones may be called the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and
Galaxy Z Flip 7
. It has also been claimed that Samsung will launch in July 2025.
Moreover, earlier leaks suggested that the rumoured Galaxy Z Fold 7 may set a new standard for slimness. Speculation suggests the device could integrate industry-first technologies and feature a redesigned hinge mechanism. This new hinge is tipped not only to reduce crease visibility on the display but also to contribute to the smartphone's overall enhanced durability.

‘Saved 30k paper sheets': On digital platform, Cujira school has paperless exam

Panaji: Aiming to become eco-friendly and set an example for its students, Dr K B Hedgewar higher secondary school, Cujira, has adopted a digital platform to conduct its exams in a fully paperless format for 347 of its Class XI and XII students. The exam began on July 21 and will continue till July 26, the school said. The students appeared for the exam in two batches. They will write the exams without using a single sheet of paper, said higher secondary school principal Deepak Amonkar. He said the school has collaborated with LittleMore Innovation Labs and used the LMExams platform. 'This initiative is a confluence of educational reform and environmental responsibility. It reflects our commitment to leading the nation in adopting scalable innovations that benefit both our students and our planet,' said school manager Subhash Desai. The school stated that this pilot project alone will save 30,000 sheets of paper, equivalent to conserving 3–4 fully grown trees. 'If scaled across Goa, over five million sheets could be saved annually — making the state's education system greener, lighter, and globally responsible,' said Dr K B Hedgewar high school principal Vilas Satarkar. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like My 4-year-old kidneys are failing, only you can help Donate For Health Donate Now Undo He said the digital platform used was tamper-proof, offered encrypted digital question delivery, allowed handwritten digital answers, provided full offline exam mode with audit trails, and enabled online evaluation with assistive marking tools. 'It is not a tablet. It is not a laptop. It is an exam-only device designed for secure, scalable assessments,' said Amonkar. 'This is more than an exam — it's a step towards rethinking how we assess, how we conserve, and how we prepare students for a changing world. The collective vision of the leadership at Dr K B Hedgewar school made this first-of-its-kind paperless exam pilot a reality, setting a benchmark for schools across India,' said Govind Parvatkar, chairman, Goa Education Development Corporation. He stated that the model is in sync with the National Education Policy's future-forward vision. The school said LMExams offers the service without compromising on exam integrity or incurring heavy infrastructure costs and can securely conduct high-stakes exams without paper or internet.

Ind vs Eng 4th Test: Can India script an injury-time comeback?

England don't just hold the 2-1 lead in this series going into the fourth Test at Manchester, they seem to have the rub of the green as well. At least when it comes to injuries. England announced early that they were making only one change to the team that won the third Test, bringing in Liam Dawson , the veteran left-arm spinner, into the eleven in place of Shoaib Bashir, who injured a finger on his left hand while fielding. Dawson will be playing only his fourth Test, at the age of 35, after eight years in the cricketing wilderness. Dawson has had decent returns at the domestic level over the last few seasons and was thought to be the best person to play a role in Bashir's absence. His first three Tests yielded seven wickets at an average of nearly 43. Shubman Gill, the captain, confirmed that both Arshdeep Singh and Akash Deep were unavailable. Nitish Reddy has already been ruled out of the rest of the series. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Mountain Gear for Extreme Conditions Trek Kit India Learn More Undo This meant that Jasprit Bumrah would certainly play — and logic dictated that anyway with the series being on the line — and that Anshul Kamboj, the 24-year-old from Haryana, was likely to make his Test debut. Kamboj has played only 24 first-class matches, but he has 79 wickets at an impressive cost of 22 per scalp and is also handy with the bat. Live Events India's other option was to play Prasidh Krishna, but he has not lived up to the billing thus far and offers little with the bat. India also confirmed that Rishab Pant was fit to keep wickets and Gill backed Karun Nair to come good, suggesting that all he needed was one decent score to turn things around. While England wore a settled look, India were swirling a touch, but it was in similar circumstances that they pulled off victory in the second Test. So, they will not feel hugely disadvantaged. What was a bit unusual, however, was Gill's invoking of the spirit of cricket. Gill is only three Tests old as captain, one of which included his now well publicised exhorting of Zak Crawley for time-wasting tactics. 'A lot of people have been talking about this, so let me clear the air for once and for all. The English batters on that day had seven minutes of play left. They were 90 seconds late to come to the crease,' said Gill. 'Not 10, not 20, 90 seconds late. Yes, most of the teams use this tactic. Even if we were in a position, we would have also liked to play fewer overs. But there's a manner to do it. But to be able to come 90 seconds late on the crease is not something that I would think comes in the spirit of the game.' This is a supremely slippery slope to be on. After all, the rules exist for a reason, and umpires are at hand to enforce them, even if perhaps they are not always as proactive or strict as they can be. When Gill says there's a 'manner' to do it, which would be acceptable, this is problematic. Different teams will see different things as acceptable, based on accepted practices growing up playing the game and cultural differences. If Gill was only stating his position to get under the skin of the opposition, that's a perfectly legitimate approach. After all, England made it clear that they had engineered a mindset shift of their own in this context. 'It was good fun, ' Harry Brook said of the fracas with Gill. 'We watched the Indians go hard at Creeps (Crawley) and Ducky (Duckett). We had a conversation, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to not be the nice guys that we have been in the past three years, to go out there and put them under more pressure than what they have probably had before.' Brook pointed to how this had come from within the set up. 'He (McCullum) actually said a few days before that we are too nice sometimes, and I brought it up the night before the last day: 'Baz said the other day we're too nice, I think tomorrow is a perfect opportunity to really get stuck into them'. England used this sense of outrage to funnel their aggression in the pointed end of the third Test and it worked for them. But, only because they did so from a place of calm, and as a strategy. If Gill is doing the same, there's no reason India can't be similarly galvanised. But, if he genuinely believes that it is the world against him and his team, it may well become a self-fulfilling prophecy

AI startup Composio raises $25 million led by Lightspeed Venture Partners

Soham Ganatra and Karan Vaidya BENGALURU: Composio, a San Francisco-based infrastructure startup has raised $25 million in its latest round of funding as it aims to build foundational tools to make artificial intelligence (AI) agents capable of learning through experience. The integration startup, which simplifies how AI agents and large language models (LLMs) connect with external applications and services, was founded by Indian-origin entrepreneurs Soham Ganatra and Karan Vaidya. The latest $25 million Series A round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Vercel CEO Guillermo Rauch, HubSpot founder Dharmesh Shah, Marathon Management Partners founding partner Gokul Rajaram, Rubrik founder Soham Mazumdar and institutional investors including SV Angel, Blitzscaling Ventures, Operator Partners and Agent Fund. Existing backers Elevation Capital and Together Fund also participated in the round. The startup had previously raised $4 million in seed funding. Composio is building what it describes as a shared learning layer for AI agents, enabling them to accumulate and transfer practical knowledge across workflows. For instance, when an agent learns how to handle a Salesforce or GitHub edge case, that insight becomes instantly available across the network, making agents more useful over time rather than remaining static. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Up to 70% off | Shop Sale Libas Undo 'You can spend hundreds of hours building LLM tools, tweaking prompts, and refining instructions, but you hit a wall,' said Ganatra, CEO of Composio. 'These models don't get better at their jobs the way a human employee would. We're solving this at the infrastructure level.' The company began building its stack in 2022 and has since tackled challenges around multi-agent coordination, secure authentication and scalable architecture. A core component of the platform is its reinforcement learning layer which is designed to help AI develop intuition. Composio's tools have attracted over 100,000 developers and more than 200 companies, including Glean and several Y Combinator startups such as April, OpenNote, Airweave, Den and Dash. With the new funding, Composio said plans to deepen its learning infrastructure and expand integrations with AI frameworks such as Supabase MCP, LangChain, Vercel AI SDK and OpenAI Agents. 'Composio is building the missing layer that makes AI agents genuinely useful in production,' said Raviraj Jain, partner at Lightspeed. 'By enabling agents to learn from experience, they're bridging the gap between impressive demos and real-world deployment.'
