Samsung Now Brief's next feature is one for the hydro homies

TL;DR Samsung could be working on a water-themed info card for its Now Brief feature.
This card would likely display your water intake for the day, much like Samsung Health tracks how many glasses of water you've had.
This would join a custom card feature as another much-needed addition to Now Brief.
Samsung's Now Brief is available on some phones as part of the One UI 7 update. This feature delivers a variety of information cards at certain times of the day, focusing on the weather, your calendar, health, and more. Now, it looks like the company could offer a brand-new card.
SammyGuru dug into the Samsung Health app and discovered a 'Water Now brief' feature. Unfortunately, the outlet wasn't able to activate this option. So what could it actually be?
Well, Now Brief already integrates Samsung Health features like step counting and burned calories. The Samsung Health app can also be used to track and record how many glasses of water you drank relative to a preset target. So it seems like a safe bet that Now Brief could show your water intake as well. This would be a helpful addition to Now Brief, allowing you to quickly check if you're staying hydrated.
This isn't the only feature Samsung could bring to Now Brief. SammyGuru also discovered that Samsung is working on custom info cards, which would allow you to create cards, associate apps with them, and schedule when they pop up in Now Brief.
There's no word on if/when these features will actually come to Galaxy phones. But we're guessing Samsung could launch them alongside stable One UI 8, which is expected to arrive next month.

Will Taiwan Semiconductor Be a $2 Trillion Stock by 2030?
Taiwan Semiconductor is already a $1.1 trillion company. Management projects strong growth over the next five years. 10 stocks we like better than Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing › Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (NYSE: TSM) is currently a $1.14 trillion stock. So, for it to reach $2 trillion by 2030, it would need to rise by 75% over the next five years, delivering an 11% compound annual growth rate (CAGR). If you throw in Taiwan Semiconductor's 1% dividend yield, that means the stock would deliver about 12% returns over the next five years should TSMC (for short) rise to become a $2 trillion company. That's market-beating growth, which is exactly what many investors seek. So, is this a realistic time frame? I think it is, but there are also signs that this would be a relatively slow growth rate compared to what management is projecting. TSMC is the world's top contract chip manufacturer. That means it doesn't sell its chips on the open market; instead, it provides its chip production services to those that cannot make chips themselves -- which is nearly every big tech company. TSMC is the key supplier for Apple and Nvidia, along with countless other recognizable names. It has become the top partner due to its best-in-class technologies and excellent chip yields, which keep prices low compared to its competitors. As a result of all this, management has an excellent vision into the future since chip orders are often placed years in advance. This is especially true in the U.S., where its Arizona factory already sold out its capacity through 2027. Management believes that over the next five years, AI-related revenue will have a 45% CAGR. That's incredible growth when sustained for a relatively long time, and it results in an overall CAGR of nearly 20% for the next five years. As mentioned, TSMC only needs to grow its stock price by 11% each year to become a $2 trillion company. So if its revenue growth can directly translate to stock price appreciation, then it's well on its way to a $2 trillion market cap, crushing the market along the way. But that will happen only if the stock is reasonably valued. Some stocks have years of growth already priced into them, so even if TSMC is expected to have a nearly a 20% CAGR over the next five years, that may already be baked into the stock price. Fortunately for investors, the stock trades at a reasonable level. At 23.3 times forward earnings, TSMC's stock isn't as cheap as it was just a few months ago, but it's still reasonably priced from a market perspective. The S&P 500 trades for 22.8 times forward earnings, so the two are valued at about the same level. This is still a historically expensive valuation for the broader market, so investors need to understand that the valuation of those two could go down as the years progress, which will eat into some of the stock performance that a 20% CAGR over five years would deliver. However, there is still plenty of growth to propel TSMC to become a $2 trillion stock and deliver market-beating growth along the way. It's one of my top picks in the market right now, since I believe it will be a winner regardless of which AI company has the best technology. All of these AI hyperscalers have to run their workloads through something, and there's a high probability that it's through Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing chips. Happy hour with Gemini: How I built my perfect summer bartender
Rita El Khoury / Android Authority If you open the liquor cabinets (plural) in my home, you'll find an eclectic collection of spirits ranging from the mundane to the random and unique bottles my husband and I have bought in some small or unknown town during our travels. My husband likes to joke that I gifted him a basic bartending course and now I'm benefiting from it, but in my mind, it was a sound financial investment for both of us. The problem, though, is that there isn't a course varied enough to cover all of our niche spirits, and sifting through tons of online recipe sites for one weird ingredient often yields super complicated cocktails with more ingredients that I don't have at hand. Meanwhile, it's sad to see dozens of bottles sitting unopened, waiting for the perfect cocktail or recipe inspiration to hit. So I decided to take matters into my own hands, or into Gemini model's proverbial hands, and create a bartender who understands me and my ingredient list. I had a lot of leftover celery leaves with some mint, and I was wondering if they could be used in a cocktail. I asked Gemini if they'd fit in a cocktail, and it suggested a celery and mint mojito. Nothing fancy, but not something I would've thought about off the top of my head — I'm still a baby bartender after all. The celery and mint mojito that Gemini suggested was perfectly balanced and so refreshing that I've done it many times since. The result, though, was so nice and refreshing that I had to do a few double-takes because I didn't think celery leaves would work this well in a cocktail. The ratio was perfectly balanced with the mint. The mix was so good that whenever I've had a bit of celery for other purposes since that fateful day, I've been cutting off some extra leaves to redo this same cocktail. It's a fantastic summer winner. Point, Gemini. Stage two: Trying to replicate restaurant or bar cocktails Rita El Khoury / Android Authority From that day on, I knew I had a tool to help me craft interesting cocktails from scratch (or from other online recipes that I'm too lazy to sift through), but what about replicating existing ones? See, whenever I order a drink at a bar or restaurant and I like it, I have trouble replicating it at home. I am not addicted to alcohol enough to go through many stages of trials and errors; I'd rather just get the recipe right from the get-go. But no bar or restaurant is ever gonna share their specialty, so to Gemini I turn. I can easily recreate my favorite cocktails from my favorite bars and restaurants at home. I've been sharing the ingredient description of the best specialty cocktails I find and asking Gemini to figure out the recipe. The results are better than what my personal approximation would've been, to be honest, with the right balance between spirits, syrups, lemon juice, simple syrup, and others. It feels less like fumbling and more like an educated guess; Gemini puts me on the right track, and I can make minor adjustments to get as close as possible to the original creation. Without lemon juice With lemon juice Thanks to this, I've been able to replicate the most balanced and refreshing summer cocktail I've ever had at any restaurant/bar (Smäak in Tours, France) with rosemary-infused gin, elderflower liqueur, and crème de cassis. Gemini's original recipe didn't include any lemon juice, but in my fading memories, there was a bit of sourness to the original cocktail, so I asked Gemini to add it, and the result was absolute perfection. Now, two years later, Smäak is sadly closed in Tours, but its cocktail lives on in my home. Another Gemini win. Stage three: Giving Gemini the keys to my entire spirits cabinet Rita El Khoury / Android Authority After all that experimentation, I realized the final boss stage in my battle would be to create my own bartender — an agent that knows me, what I have in my liquor storage, what I don't always have at hand, what I like, and what I don't. And that required building my personal bartending Gemini gem. I started by making a spreadsheet of all the spirits and cocktail ingredients in our deep-lying cabinets. It's a simple Google Sheet with one ingredient per row that I can easily keep updated by adding or removing items. Then, I went to Gemini, clicked on Explore Gems > New Gem, and linked my Google Drive file into the Knowledge panel at the bottom. That way, I don't have to re-teach Gemini my ingredients every time; I can update the document, and it has access to the new additions or recent removals. Rita El Khoury / Android Authority On top of that, I gave Gemini extra instructions, explaining the staple ingredients I have, what I like, and told it to always give me three suggestions when building recipes. It took a few tweaks, but the instructions are now well-suited for my use. Whenever I want some fresh inspiration, I ask Gemini for a new cocktail by giving it one main ingredient or flavor request, and it delivers. Rita El Khoury / Android Authority This has led to weird experimentation with fresh basil and rum in a daiquiri (not recommended), then with aniseed liqueur instead (a surprising new favorite!), and with licorice liqueur (a middling result). Rita El Khoury / Android Authority I've been having fun since February, and at a rate of one new cocktail per week or two weeks, you can guess that there are several non-photographed creations here, from a fig and thyme sparkler with gin (recommended) to a berry and yogurt liqueur smoothie that Gemini cheekily suggested could be a nice breakfast and cocktail in one. It's always 5 PM somewhere, as they say! Making my own Gemini Bartender using a gem that knows my preferences and has access to my spirits collection was a game changer. Of all the Gemini use cases and all the special gems I've created, I must admit that this is the best one — and not only because of the delicious cocktails! It's so easy to keep the spreadsheet updated, and it's awesome to have all the instructions ready in a gem, so I don't have to retype all of them or forget something. Plus, it's been fun to push Gemini with random ingredient suggestions or simply let it get creative by telling it 'surprise me.' Honestly, if I had the time to read or watch all the bartending creators out there, I'd do it; I prefer the personal touch, recommendations, and tips. But sadly, this is a quick hobby for me, so I do enjoy the AI shortcut and having a massive smarter search engine at my disposal, if only because it won't waste my time by surfacing cocktails with ingredients I don't have at hand. 5 carriers you should sign up for instead of Trump Mobile
Joe Maring / Android Authority Earlier this month, the world of cheap cell phone plans got an interesting new competitor. Trump Mobile debuted on June 16, and while most of the attention has been focused on its controversial $499 Android phone, the other component of the Trump-run mobile brand is a new unlimited cell plan, marketed as 'The 47 Plan.' For $47.45 per month, Trump Mobile gives you unlimited talk, text, and data, plus international calling to 100 other countries and hotspot support. On its own, that's fine, but it doesn't take long for the warning lights to start flashing. First, you only get 20GB of high-speed data, with no information provided about what happens after you reach that limit. There's also no mention of HD video streaming or international data. Furthermore, there's conflicting information as to whether Trump Mobile uses AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile towers for its cell service, or if it exclusively uses T-Mobile. Simply put, Trump Mobile does not make a good first impression. While you could try your luck with Trump Mobile's 47 Plan, I'd really recommend you don't. Consider these five alternatives you should sign up for instead. Which Trump Mobile alternative would you choose? 0 votes US Mobile NaN % Google Fi NaN % Tello NaN % Visible NaN % Boost Mobile NaN % Other (let us know in the comments) NaN % US Mobile Edgar Cervantes / Android Authority If a US-themed cell carrier is what you're after, stop looking at Trump Mobile and turn your attention toward US Mobile. Not only does it have a cooler eagle/American flag logo, but it's also just an infinitely better carrier in every conceivable way. US Mobile has a few plans to choose from, though the most comparable to The 47 Plan is its Unlimited Premium plan. You get unlimited talk, text, and priority data with coverage powered by your choice of AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon towers. By default, you use one of these at a time and can switch to a different network a handful of times per month. Alternatively, you can get the Multi-Network add-on, which puts two of the networks on your phone simultaneously, with unlimited, automatic switching depending on which has better coverage at any given time. It's a seriously cool feature. Joe Maring / Android Authority Beyond that, US Mobile's Unlimited Premium Plan also has unlimited hotspot data, a free smartwatch plan, international calling and texting, and up to 20GB of international data. Additionally, if you have three or more Unlimited Premium plans on a family account, you can get free subscriptions to services like Spotify, Apple Music, Disney Plus, and more. The wild part? Despite being so much better than Trump Mobile, US Mobile is cheaper, too. The Unlimited Premium plan normally costs $44/month, though right now you can get it for just $35/month. Alternatively, you can pay $348 upfront for a year of service, which works out to the equivalent of $29/month. And taxes and fees are included in those prices — another thing you don't get with Trump Mobile. Google Fi Joe Maring / Android Authority While US Mobile is the only carrier on this list that utilizes AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon towers, that doesn't make it the only Trump Mobile alternative you should consider. If you're OK relying just on T-Mobile service, Google Fi is one of the best options out there. Although some of the other carriers on this list also use T-Mobile service, Google Fi is the only one that's prioritized on the same level as T-Mobile's own postpaid plans. In other words, during times of network congestion when a lot of people are using T-Mobile towers, Google Fi customers should see much better data speeds than people using something like Tello. It's a really nice perk to have. Joe Maring / Android Authority Of the available Google Fi plans, Unlimited Standard is my favorite alternative to Trump Mobile's 47 Plan. It's roughly the same price at $50/month (currently on sale for just $25/month) and includes unlimited talk, text, and data with 50GB of high-speed data. You also get 25GB of high-speed hotspot use, free smartwatch connectivity, international calling and texting, and free data in Canada and Mexico. Alternatively, if you're OK with just 30GB of high-speed data (still more than Trump Mobile) and no hotspot support or international coverage, the Unlimited Essentials plan is a great, cheaper option at $35/month (currently discounted to just $17.50/month). No matter which plan you choose, either one is a better choice than Trump Mobile. Tello Joe Maring / Android Authority There's a lot to like about Google Fi, especially with the 50% off sale going on right now. But what if you want an unlimited cell phone plan that normally costs $25/month without any special limited-time discounts? If so, you'll want to think about signing up for Tello. Tello allows you to customize your cell plan with your preferred amount of monthly data and call minutes, but if we're comparing it to the unlimited nature of Trump Mobile's 47 Plan, we might as well go all out with unlimited talk, text, and data. That includes 35GB of high-speed data, 5GB of hotspot usage, and free international calling to 60+ countries. It's not the most exhaustive mobile plan out there, but the fact that you get all of this (on T-Mobile's network) for just $25/month is an unbelievably good deal. There's really not much more to say about Tello. Its unlimited plan gives you more high-speed data than Trump Mobile at a much lower price. So long as you don't need to use your phone internationally (which Trump Mobile also doesn't allow), Tello's unlimited plan is a no-brainer choice. Visible Joe Maring / Android Authority Google Fi and Tello are good options if you live in an area with reliable T-Mobile service, but what if you want something with Verizon's network? In that case, I'd strongly recommend checking out Visible. It's the carrier I recently switched to after a decade with T-Mobile, and I couldn't be happier with it. Visible's most expensive plan, and the closest to Trump Mobile's offering, is Visible Plus Pro. It retails for $45/month (currently discounted to $40/month) and – tell me if you've heard this story before — is so much better than The 47 Plan. As expected, it includes unlimited talk, text, and 'premium data,' which isn't throttled unless you use more than 450GB in a single month. It also has unlimited hotspot data, a free smartwatch plan, and excellent international calling/roaming features. If you're OK with slower hotspot speeds and less international support, Visible's other two plans let you make a few sacrifices for a lower monthly bill. There are a couple of other nice perks about Visible. All of the plans include taxes/fees in the listed price, which is always convenient. Plus, if you subscribe to Verizon's Fios Home Internet, every Visible plan comes with a $15/month discount on your internet bill. I've had Visible for just about two months now, and given the choice between it and Trump Mobile, I'd choose Visible every single time. Boost Mobile Edgar Cervantes / Android Authority Last but not least, if none of the above carriers seem like the right fit for you, perhaps Boost Mobile would be a good choice. Boost Mobile has a couple of plans that compare really well to Trump Mobile, and depending on what your cell plan needs are, either one could be a fantastic choice. We'll start with the base Unlimited plan. It's a pretty standard offering, featuring unlimited talk, text, and data with a high-speed data cap of 30GB per month. And … that's basically it! It's about as simple as unlimited plans come, but the magic lies in its price. Your first three months are $15/month, and from then on, you'll pay just $25/month with a guarantee that your price will never increase. If you just want the basics, it's a killer option. If you need a bit more out of your phone plan, Unlimited Plus is likely a better fit for you. Once again, you've got unlimited talk, text, and data, with an increased high-speed data allotment of 40GB per month. You also get mobile hotspot support, as well as global texting and calling to over 200 countries. Having this plan also unlocks phone deals from Boost, with savings up to $300. You get all of that for $50/month, which isn't the absolute best deal ever, but it's still far and away more competitive than Trump Mobile. It's worth noting that, unlike the other carriers mentioned here, Boost Mobile has its own cell towers. Boost Mobile's coverage is surprisingly extensive, and should you find yourself in an area without Boost towers, you'll get roaming coverage from AT&T or T-Mobile. Don't sign up for Trump Mobile Joe Maring / Android Authority From a pure features/value perspective, Trump Mobile is pretty easily beaten by numerous other phone plans. It's too expensive, the data cap is low, and mixed messaging around which cell towers power Trump Mobile is far from ideal. And that's to say nothing of the Liberty Mobile company that Trump Mobile is apparently 'powered' by, whose website FAQ page is hilariously unfinished and filled with 'What is Lorem Ipsum?' questions. Does that make Trump Mobile the absolute worst cell phone plan you can sign up for? I'm sure you could find something worse if you look hard enough, but that doesn't mean Trump Mobile is good, either. The price isn't right, the features aren't there, and you can find so many better plans from so many other carriers. More competition is always a good thing, but given the choice between Trump Mobile and the carriers on this list, I don't see any scenario in which Trump Mobile beats any of them.
