Ohio State's biggest sleeper for repeat title revealed
ESPN analyst Jake Trotter named Carnell Tate the biggest sleeper for the Buckeyes as they attempt to repeat as champions. Tate could never really show out with Emeka Egbuka, a future first-round NFL draft selection, and Jeremiah Smith ahead of him on the depth chart. But with Egbuka gone and Smith likely drawing all the defensive attention now, there's space for a Tate brekout.

"Tate still played a key role for the Buckeyes, starting every game for the national champions," Trotter said. "In the playoff semifinals against Texas, he made the Longhorns pay for their coverages taking away Smith by hauling in a game-high seven passes for 87 yards... Tate is set to play an ever bigger role for the Buckeyes as a junior. He could easily surpass the 52 receptions and 733 receiving yards he had last season, and he should be a valuable wingman to Smith in yet another talented Ohio State receiving corps."
When defenses focused entirely on Smith last year, like against Texas, Tate made them pay. This year, he can do that to help diversify the Buckeyes' offense and make life easier for Sayin. If he does, then he could be a crucial part of what should be another highly successful season in Columbus.

Now the stock will typically be up three. Now it's up 15. Okay because people are saying ooh I want to be in Nike. Now what I'm saying is I can ignore that and focus 100% on the ten basis points that will no doubt move within the next 24 hours. People don't even know what a basis point is anymore. Do you think a millennial knows what a basis point is? A basis point. Yeah.' A team of trainers and athletes displaying a wide range of athletic and casual footwear. Earlier, the CNBC host shared he was conflicted about NIKE, Inc. (NYSE:NKE): 'I'm conflicted on Nike. On the positive side, the new CEO has a clear strategic plan to turn things around by focusing on running, basketball, football, training, and sportswear… The bottom line: I am optimistic that the worst is indeed behind Nike, or at least will be soon. And I think there's a good chance for a comeback, especially with a seasoned hands-on Nike veteran like Elliott Hill at the helm. That said, I don't have a ton of conviction in the turn happening quickly, so I'd advise you to start slowly with a small position and only buy more if Nike gives you a good reason to pull the trigger.' On the heels of their Commissioner's Cup championship victory over the Minnesota Lynx and 81-54 rout over the Las Vegas Aces, the Indiana Fever welcome the Los Angeles Sparks back to Indianapolis on Saturday. Even without Caitlin Clark, who will miss her fifth straight game, the Fever have proven capable of winning big games. They've gone 3-1 since Clark was recently sidelined with a groin strain. But that one loss was to the purple and gold, just over a week ago. Can Los Angeles pull off another shocker on the road? Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell and Natasha Howard have all risen to the occasion in Clark's absence, while former Los Angeles guard Aari McDonald has stayed ready and played a vital role despite being signed, then cut, then signed by the Fever — all in the span of about three weeks. Meanwhile, the Sparks remain in a period of transition. They've nearly matched last season's win total and have fared far better on offense thanks to the addition of Plum and emergence of Stevens, but it's clear that this group still has some ground to make up before the franchise can return to its winning ways. With that said, Los Angeles deserves recognition for refusing to back down against the league's elite. We've seen this team go down to the wire with the Phoenix Mercury and pull off upsets over the Las Vegas Aces and Fever — both on the road, no less — so they aren't to be taken lightly. When they're on from 3-point range, they can compete with anybody. It's worth keeping a close eye on Julie Vanloo, as well. The Sparks picked up the Belgian guard after she was surprisingly cut by the Golden State Valkyries. She's struggled with her shot this season, but she's as pure a playmaker as they come, which Los Angeles (eighth in assists) could certainly use.
