Meanwhile, Detective Michael Ormewood, who recently discovered that he has a brain tumor, ended the May 13 finale on the floor of his kitchen, mid-seizure, as Special Agent Faith Mitchell (Iantha Richardson) called for help.
When TVLine caught up with Richardson at the Disney Upfront in New York City Tuesday, the actress inferred that she fully expects Ormewood to recover in Season 4, and that Faith would play a pivotal role in his recovery. But when pressed on the possibility of losing Amanda — who's not only her boss, but practically her aunt due to Amanda's lifelong friendship with Evelyn — Richardson was less certain that her character would be able to soldier on.
'That would break her,' she said. 'If anything were to happen to her — which, I highly doubt anything would — but when she realizes what has happened to Amanda, that is going to be something that is going to be a pivotal moment in Faith's life, for sure.'
Richardson's co-star, Jake McLaughlin, didn't seem particularly worried about Ormewood's fate, either. (If he was worried, he's got the best poker face in the game.) He did, however, reveal what was most difficult about preparing for final scene of the year. And because we didn't want to end on a downer, we asked about some of Ormewood's more lighthearted moments in Season 3, at which point McLaughlin lit up and reminisced about shooting a very memorable disco sequence for Episode 13.
For even more insight into Will Trent's Season 3 finale — and what's to come in Season 4, premiering in January 2026 — be sure to check out our post mortem with co-showrunners Liz Heldens and Daniel Thomsen, then hit the comments with your hopes for the next run of episodes. Yellowjackets Season 4: Release date rumors, cast updates and plot details
If you're still reeling from Yellowjackets ' explosive Season 3 finale, you're definitely not alone. That final scene? Chills. And now, with the show officially renewed for a fourth season, fans are buzzing louder than ever about what's next for our favorite (and, let's be honest, slightly terrifying) stranded soccer team—and their adult counterparts. Release Date Rumors: When Will Season 4 Hit Screens? So far, Showtime and Paramount+ haven't dropped a release date for Season 4, but here's what we do know. The renewal was confirmed on May 20, 2025, about a month after Season 3 wrapped up in April. Looking at past premiere dates—Season 1 in November 2021, Season 2 in March 2023, and Season 3 in February 2025—it's clear that the timeline's been a little unpredictable. Season 2 and 3 had a bigger gap due to the 2023 Hollywood strikes. If things stay on track this time, there's a good chance we'll see Season 4 hit screens sometime in late 2026 or early 2027. That gives the team enough breathing room for the usual filming and post-production, plus all the meticulous, layered storytelling Yellowjackets is known for. Cast Updates: Who's Returning? While no official cast list has been dropped yet, a lot of familiar faces are expected to return. Melanie Lynskey and Sophie Nélisse (adult and teen Shauna) are all but guaranteed, especially after Shauna's sinister evolution into the 'antler queen.' Christina Ricci and Samantha Hanratty (Misty), Tawny Cypress and Jasmin Savoy Brown (Taissa), and Courtney Eaton (teen Lottie) are also likely sticking around. Simone Kessell's adult Lottie sadly didn't survive the season, but with Yellowjackets , death doesn't always mean a final goodbye—flashbacks and hallucinations are part of the show's DNA. Juliette Lewis' Natalie, for example, skipped Season 3 but could very well return in some spectral form, just like Jackie did in earlier seasons. Newer characters like Ashley Sutton's Hannah (whose fate was left dangling), and Elijah Wood's ever-mysterious Walter, are big question marks—but don't be surprised if they play major roles going forward. Plot Details: What's Next for the Yellowjackets? Season 3 left us on a massive cliffhanger. Natalie managed to get a signal out using the plane's black box and a satellite phone—her desperate 'Can you hear me?' was finally answered. Is rescue finally coming? Maybe. But showrunner Ashley Lyle has already warned that the girls are 'not out of the woods yet.' Literally and metaphorically. Season 4 is likely to cover the final stretch of their brutal 18-month survival in the wilderness. The second winter is coming, and so is a deepening divide among the survivors. Shauna's dark rise to power, seen when she manipulates Mari's death (yep, she was the infamous 'pit girl'), suggests a growing rift with those like Natalie and Misty who still cling to hope of being rescued. Even once that rescue does come, don't expect sunshine and healing. The showrunners have hinted that they'll dig into the aftermath—what happens when the girls return home, carrying the horrors of what they did to survive? The Present-Day Timeline The adult timeline is just as tangled. With the deaths of adult Van, Coach Ben, and Lottie, the core group is fractured again. Shauna's growing tension with Melissa (played by Hilary Swank) adds another layer of instability, and Walter's cryptic plotting could become the wild card that changes everything. What's still unclear is how the adult survivors will move forward as their past closes in on them. The show's creepy psychological edge is likely to deepen, with the lines between what's real and imagined continuing to blur—especially with Lottie's visions still casting a long shadow over the group. Liam Neeson looks back on ‘falling in love' with late wife Natasha Richardson as Pamela Anderson romance blooms
Liam Neeson revisited his and late wife Natasha Richardson's love story amid his budding romance with Pamela Anderson. The actor recalled meeting Richardson when they co-starred in Broadway's 1993 revival of 'Anna Christie' during an interview with the New York Times published on Thursday. 'It was great doing it every night with her and falling in love,' the Oscar nominee, 73, gushed. The outlet noted that Neeson spoke in a near-whisper while reflecting on this time with the actress, who died in a fatal 2009 skiing accident, as they walked past the theater where he met his late wife. While the reporter claimed Richardson 'came up unprompted from time to time,' the profile did not reference any other instances. The late Tony winner married Neeson in 1994, and the former couple welcomed sons Micheál, 30, and Daniel, 28, during their time together. Neeson insisted to People last year that he was done dating after Richardson's tragic death and 'past all that.' However, Andy Cohen explained to 'Radio Andy' listeners Wednesday that Anderson is 'just like' his 'dear friend' Richardson. 'She is an independent woman,' the 'Watch What Happens Live' host, 57, dished. 'She loves to cook. She has her own thing going on. She has two boys.' Neeson and Anderson sparked romance rumors earlier this month while promoting 'Naked Gun,' with Page Six confirming Wednesday that the co-stars are dating and 'figuring things out along the way.' Elsewhere in Thursday's piece, Anderson gushed over Neeson and highlighted his 'charm and charisma.' The 'Baywatch' alum said she has 'never experienced [anything like it] before.' 'You just kind of fall into it.' Like Neeson, Anderson has two sons — Brandon, 29, and Dylan, 27 — with her ex-husband Tommy Lee. The 'Pamela's Cooking With Love' star has also been married to Kid Rock, Rick Salomon — twice — and Dan Hayhurst over the years. Her most recent union ended in 2022, and she has not gone public with any relationships since. Solve the daily Crossword

‘Golden Bachelor' Mel Owens confronted by contestants on show after his age remarks
Mel Owens is correcting his recent fumble. The former NFL star, 66, revealed that while filming this season of 'The Golden Bachelor,' some of the contestants confronted him for his ageist remarks. Owens had said in June that he refuses to date women over the age of 60. 8 Mel Owens in May at the Disney Upfront. Disney 'One of the dates was a roast. It was brutal,' he confessed to Glamour in an interview published on Friday. 'They were killing me…. It was good.' After all, Owens knows he was in the wrong for his comments. 8 Mel Owens in New York City. Disney 'My reference of dating was 39, 40 years old,' he explained to the outlet. 'I hadn't dated in 26, 27 years. And at that point, I still hadn't dated, so my reference was my age, basically. That's what I told my friend.' However, Owens' pal didn't agree with the attorney. He added, 'She goes, 'It doesn't matter. You've said some things that are just incredibly wrong.' And I go, 'I've got to apologize.'' 8 Mel Owens poses with Jessi Ngatikaura and Layla Taylor. Disney Owens also set the record straight on why he agreed to do the reality show despite not wanting to date anyone over 60. 'Because I didn't know anything about 'The Golden Bachelor' ages,' he confessed. 'I didn't know the age range. To me, the age range was 45 to 60. That's my age range. I go, 'Oh, okay.' So I'm thinking that's the 'gold' years for me. My reference again was when I was dating at 39, 40. I hadn't dated in 26 years, so I had no clue. And that's why the comment. I didn't know.' While on the 'MGoBlue Podcasts with Jon Jansen' in June, Owens also made the jab that he wasn't interested in dating women with any artificial hips. 8 Mel Owens and Ryan Clark at the Disney Upfront. Disney Looking back, the athlete regrets that statement. 'I know [that's not right]. People run marathons. I'm an attorney, I represent athletes with injuries, and most of them are football, hockey, and a lot of them have artificial hips,' he went on. 'I apologized to the women on the show. When I first walked in, I addressed it. I apologized to them. I said, 'It was unfair, insensitive. I want to earn it back. Just give me the chance.' And hopefully, these last two, three weeks, I earned some of that back.' After Owens' podcast appearance, fans called for the reality star to be recast. The news made its way back to Owens. 8 Mel Owens and Hannah Storm smile for the camera. Disney 'My friend asked me, 'Hey, are you getting replaced?' I go, 'Not that I know of,'' he recalled, admitting that he would have been upset if he had been. 'Looking back on it and looking forward, it's a great experience,' Owens gushed. 'It's such a great experience for me, and so, oh yeah, I wouldn't have wanted to be recast. But I'm going to earn it back just by being myself and being fair and apologetic and honest and be myself.' Not everyone is so quick to give this year's golden bachelor a second chance. Some fans shared they won't be tuning in when Owens' season airs next month. 8 Mel Owens is the new 'Golden Bachelor.' Disney But the California resident thinks that would be a mistake. 'Well, if you don't tune in, you'll never know,' Owens teased. 'So you got to tune in. And again, I'm trying to earn it back. So, watch the show and see if I earn it back. Because I apologized.' 'To earn it back, you have to be earnest in your work to get the trust back,' Owens continued. 'And everybody there is smart and they can see through you if you're lying or you don't mean what you say. That's why I say tune in.' 8 Mel Owens chats with other attendees at the Disney Upfront. Disney Along with urging fans to turn on their televisions, the ABC star knows he deserved the criticism he received. 'But I deserved [the anger],' Owens added. 'That was a mistake by me. It's unfair. It's insensitive, like I said. And I have to earn it back every single moment that I'm on the show.' In June, Owens said he told producers his preferred age range is '45 to 60, just being honest.' He also told them that 'if they're 60 or over, I'm cutting them. This is not 'The Silver Bachelor,' this is 'The Golden Bachelor.'' 8 Mel Owens at 2025 Disney Upfront. Jackie Brown / Owens revealed that the producers then told him, ''You can't use the word cut.' I go, 'Well, that's an NFL term.'' His comments were quickly faced with backlash. 'He doesn't seem like the type for 'in sickness and in health,'' one fan wrote on X, while a second chimed in: 'Awful. I won't watch with a jerk in the lead.' A third social media user stated, 'doesn't sound like much of a mystery as to why he's still a bachelor. Anyone who chooses to go on that show deserves whatever disaster they get.' Owens was married to Fabiana Owens from 2002 to 2020, and the exes share sons Lucas (born in 2005) and Andre (born in 2007), according to Us Weekly. The 'Golden Bachelor' premieres on Wednesday, September 24 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
