Juncos Racing truck catches fire on the way back from Iowa Speedway
The team, led by Ricardo Juncos, was traveling on Interstate 74 when the hauler carrying both cars and all of Sting Ray Robb's equipment caught fire.

The incident, which fortunately caused no injuries, started in the truck's rear axle for reasons still under investigation by the team, Motorsport.com has learned.
The vehicle, which came to a stop about four hours from Indianapolis, will be thoroughly inspected upon its return to the JHR shop to assess the damage. However, there are concerns it may no longer be usable.
The incident comes at arguably the worst time of the season. Following two consecutive race weekends in Mid-Ohio and Iowa Speedway, the IndyCar Series shows no signs of slowing down, with the next round taking place this weekend in Toronto, Canada, followed immediately by Laguna Seca and Portland.

To meet its upcoming championship commitments, Juncos Hollinger Racing will use a hauler provided by Andretti Global. The team is now working tirelessly to ensure everything is ready for departure to Toronto on Wednesday.
"A tough end to our Iowa weekend, both on and off the track," said the team in an official press release.
"After an early retirement for the #77 car, our hauler caught fire on I-74 while heading back to the shop. It was a scary moment for the team, but thankfully, everyone is safe, and that's what matters most.
"We've been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support, messages, and well wishes from fans, fellow teams, IndyCar officials, and the entire racing community. It's a reminder of the incredible family we have in this sport.

"We are assessing the damage and will be working hard to get back on track. Thank you again for everything. Your support fuels our determination!"

WNBA All-Star weekend: Fever star Caitlin Clark joins loaded 3-point contest, Kayla McBride named All-Star Game replacement
Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark routinely shows off her long-range prowess to lead the team to victory in front of the home-town fans. This time, though, she'll fire up threes to prove she's the best. Clark will take part in the three-point contest during WNBA All-Star weekend. She'll join New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu, Los Angels Sparks star Kelsey Plum, Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray, Washington Mystics rookie Sonia Citron at the event, which will be held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, the league announced Tuesday. The event came with Clark in the midst of a fantastic rookie season, which culminated in her taking home the Rookie of the Year award and earning an All-WNBA team selection. Ionescu also passed on the event last season. While she did not take part in the WNBA's three-point contest, she did participate in a three-point competition against Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry during the 2024 NBA All-Star weekend. Curry defeated Ionescu by just three points in an event that was well-received by fans. Both sides considered holding the competition again in 2025, but with more talent. Those plans eventually fell through, though Clark was reportedly asked to take part in it. She declined, saying she wanted her first three-point contest to "be at WNBA All-Star in Indianapolis this summer," paving the way for Tuesday's announcement. While Clark will be one of favorites to win the event, she hasn't shot particularly well on threes this season. Through 12 games, Clark is shooting 29 percent from beyond the arc, a drop from last year's 34 percent success rate from long range. Advertisement Clark has battled multiple injuries this season, which may have something to do with her shooting struggles. Holding the event at Gainbridge Fieldhouse should be a massive help, though, as Clark is shooting 39 percent from three-point range at home this season. Ionescu is also having a down year from beyond the arc, shooting 31 percent on three pointers. That figure is lowest of her career. Citron could be a dark-horse candidate to win the event. The rookie is shooting 36 percent on her three-point attempts this season. Kayla McBride named All-Star Game replacement Minnesota Lynx guard Kayla McBride is heading back to the WNBA All-Star Game. McBride was selected as a replacement for Rhyne Howard on Tuesday. Howard was diagnosed with a knee injury Monday that is expected to keep her out of action for the rest of July. Howard was drafted as a reserve by Team Collier. Advertisement McBride, 33, will take that stop with Howard injured. It will mark the fifth time in her career McBride has made the All-Star team. Rob Manfred says Blue Jays near ‘top of the list' to host future MLB All-Star Game
Toronto hosted the city's first and only MLB All-Star Game in 1991 at a new ballpark then known as SkyDome. The Blue Jays have won two World Series since then. They've played through lean years, returned to the postseason, renamed the home park and renovated it. Over three decades later, Toronto is once again in contention to host a future midsummer classic. Advertisement Speaking to media at the 2025 All-Star Game in Atlanta, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said the Blue Jays are 'perking up to the top of the list' to host a future All-Star week. The Blue Jays' recent $400 million Rogers Centre renovation modernized the multi-purpose stadium, putting Toronto in contention to host a major baseball event. But a top factor working in the city's favour is the 34 years since the Jays last hosted, Manfred said. 'I've said before that a really significant factor in terms of All-Star Games is, when did you have the last one?' Manfred said. 'So you can figure out, kind of. It is not the sole determining factor, but it's a significant one. And obviously, I think Toronto was '91 I believe. Obviously they're kind of perking up to the top of the list based on time.
