Two-time Solheim Cup player Alison Lee announces birth of her first child, a son
Two-time Solheim Cup player Alison Lee shared on Instagram that she and boyfriend Trey Kidd welcomed their first child, a son, born April 25.
The 30-year-old Lee, a two-time winner on the Ladies European Tour, helped the U.S. defeat Europe in last year's Solheim Cup. Lee went viral at the event on Saturday after she holed a wedge shot and her caddie took off his shirt to settle a bet.
Currently No. 47 in the world, Lee made her last start in November at the Aramco Team Series event in Saudi Arabia. The LPGA's maternity policy gives moms two years from the date of the baby's birth to return to playing.
Lee told Golfweek last year she and Kidd were introduced by a mutual friend near the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. Kidd, a former college player at Colorado State who now works in finance, played off a plus-3 handicap at the time. If Lee plays from the back tees, she doesn't give him any strokes.
