Bailey hits sacrifice fly in 10th to lift Giants over D-backs and snap 4-game losing streak
The Giants led 5-3 heading into the ninth, but Geraldo Perdomo led off with a single and then Ketel Marte — who was named a National League All-Star starter at second base earlier in the day — launched a tying homer to right off Camilo Doval for his 18th long ball of the season.
San Francisco retook the lead in the 10th on Bailey's fly ball to center after Lee advanced to third on an infield single by Heliot Ramos. Doval (4-2) worked the bottom of the 10th for the win.
San Francisco's Mike Yastrzemski went deep on the second pitch of the game, driving a fastball into the right field seats. Lee's triple drove home Wilmer Flores to make it 2-0 in the first.
The Giants pushed their advantage to 3-0 in the fifth on Rafael Devers' RBI single.
Alek Thomas hit a leadoff homer to cut the deficit to 3-1 and the next three batters reached base against Landen Roupp with no outs. Lefty Erik Miller did an admirable job getting out of the jam, allowing Josh Naylor's sacrifice fly but perserving a 3-2 lead.
Arizona's Merrill Kelly gave up three runs on five hits and three walks over six innings. The right-hander struck out three.
The D-backs' first two batters of the seventh inning reached base, but reliever Randy Rodriguez got out of the tough spot by striking out Tim Tawa and getting Naylor to ground into a double play.

SYDNEY (AP) — Former England captain Owen Farrell was summoned by the British and Irish Lions to replace Elliot Daly on the tour of Australia on Thursday. Daly broke his left forearm on Wednesday in the 52-12 win over the Queensland Reds in Brisbane. 'It is heartbreaking for the group that Elliot's tour is over,' Lions coach Andy Farrell said in a statement. 'He is a Lions legend who has added so much to the group on and off the field over the past few weeks and over the course of three tours. 'Owen will now come in and add to our options and bring his own Lions experience to the group.' Owen Farrell will join his fourth tour, having played 18 times for the Lions, including six tests across 2013, 2017 and 2021. However, he hasn't played an international since leading England at the 2023 Rugby World Cup, after which he took a break from test rugby. Updates include kitchen improvements, upgrading the REACH Early Learning playground and toddler play space, a new greenhouse and enhancing the community garden. They also shared a mural by Boxx the Artist, a 2024 Art & Soul headliner who has installed more than 10 murals in Indy. What they're saying: Titled " Rooted Together," the goal of the mural was to honor the history of FPCC and its values of hope, compassion and renewal. The Rotary Club of Indianapolis and an anonymous donor also provided funding for the artwork. "To be able to help Fletcher Place ... complete their legacy project, which is going to help children and families for decades to come, is exactly why we wanted to host the WNBA All-Star Game," Mel Raines, CEO of Pacers Sports & Entertainment, said at a recent ribbon cutting. Associated Press MADRID (AP) — Liverpool player Diogo Jota and his brother were killed in a car accident in Spain, police said Thursday. The Spanish Civil Guard confirmed to The Associated Press that Jota and his brother were found dead after their car went off a road near the northwestern city of Zamora. Authorities said the car — a Lamborghini, according to police — was in flames. Firefighters were called in as the fire spread into the nearby vegetation, authorities said. Police were investigating the causes of the accident that happened past midnight local time. They said there were no other vehicles involved. The bodies were undergoing forensic analysis. It wasn't clear who was driving the car. Police were looking into the hypothesis that the accident happened because of a blown tire. The accident occurred along an isolated stretch of highway about an hour west of Zamora. The 28-year-old Jota and his brother, 25-year-old Andre Silva, both Portuguese players, were in the car. Jota's death comes weeks after he married Rute Cardoso and in a social media post wrote, 'Yes to forever.' They had three children, the youngest born last year. Jota also played for Portugal's national team and helped it win the Nations League last month. Silva played with Portuguese club Penafiel in the lower divisions. Liverpool said the club was 'devastated by the tragic passing.'
