Hunt for murder suspect who dropped off baby after four relatives found dead
Austin Robert Drummond, 28, remains on the run after being wanted for the murder of James M Wilson, 21, Adrianna Williams, 20, Cortney Rose, 38, and Braydon Williams, 15 in Tennessee, US.
After killing the family members, officers say Drummond dropped off the seven-month-old girl and, in an act of 'compassion', indicated her presence to nearby people.
The baby is now being cared for and looked after, authorities confirmed.
Adrianna and Braydon Williams were the children of Ms Rose.
Police have now discovered a car driven by Drummond in Jackson, 70 miles from where the family's bodies were found and 40 miles away from where the baby was left.
Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Director David Rausch said he believed Drummond had targeted the family, with whom he had a relationship.
He described Drummond's choice to abandon the baby while alerting members of the public as an 'act of compassion'. More Trending
'While this was an extremely tragic and violent event… there was a sign of compassion, if you will', he said.
A family member of one of the victims wrote online that they had 'trusted' Drummond, who had been 'nothing short of amazing to us and our kids', Sky News reported.
A $15,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of Drummond, who is wanted on four counts of first-degree murder, one count of aggravated kidnapping, and weapons offences.
He had a previous conviction in 2014 for aggravated robbery, for which he served prison, where he was further charged with criminal offences, including attempted murder.

Driver, 22, killed after horror three-vehicle collision
A 22-year-old man has died following a collision involving three vehicles. The horror smash occurred at 11.50pm on Friday at the junction of Stratford Road and Ladypool Road in Birmingham. Manhunt launched for alleged killer after man found dead on canalside bench
Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward after a man was found dead on a bench near a canal path in Northampton. Early Friday morning, a man in his 50s was found dead behind Auctioneers Court, near the River Nene in Northampton town centre. Northamptonshire Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene, but the man was declared dead. A post-mortem took place at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester yesterday, but the man's cause of death hasn't been released. Today, forensics teams are still on site, and police said a part of the River Nene will be closed until Tuesday as searches continue for evidence. Investigating Officer DI Torie Harrison said: 'Our investigation is continuing at pace and we have a dedicated team of officers working hard to establish the circumstances that have led to the man's death. 'Our thoughts and condolences are firmly with his family at this time and they are being supported by specially trained officers from the investigation team.' Police are continuing to ask witnesses to come forward with any camera footage or CCTV of the area. Urgent hunt for naked man prowling in front of homes in a gimp mask
The UK has yet another naked man wearing only a gimp mask on the loose. Ring Doorbell owners were shocked to find a nude man prowling around in front of their cameras on Westby Street, Cleveland Road and Bannister Street in Lytham, Lancashire, in the early hours of July 18. Lancashire Police said: 'We are aware of a concerning video circulating on social media of a naked male wearing a face covering walking around Lytham in the early hours of the morning. 'This incident was not initially reported to police and has only been brought to our attention after it has been viewed on Facebook. 'Fylde Rural Task Force are currently conducting CCTV and house to house enquiries and would like to reassure you that we are taking this matter seriously. 'We can confirm this incident occurred on the 18th July 2025 at approximately 00:50 hours, not on the 31st July as suggested by a recent anonymous Facebook post.' It comes just a few weeks after 'Pantherman' was spotted quite literally prowling around gravestones in Merseyside. A person dressed in a catsuit has been terrorising locals after being spotted stalking people along secluded paths and reportedly leaping out from behind gravestones. The mysterious figure, dressed in a skin-tight black cat suit and mask, was captured on camera meowing and writhing on the ground near Wallasey Beach, Merseyside. Footage shows the person wriggling under a fence near a Harvester pub in the Wirral before prancing along a path. Another video shows people in a car screaming as the figure approaches close by.
