Loose Women star Katie Piper has addressed the news of former fellow panellist Stacey Solomon reportedly joining this year's line-up for Strictly Come Dancing.
While the pro dancers for the new series have been confirmed, the BBC hasn't yet announced which celebrities are taking part, though Stacey's name is rumoured alongside the likes of Dani Dyer, Tom Parker Bowles, Paul C Brunson and Sir Mo Farah.
X Factor star Stacey, 35, hasn't yet addressed the speculation, but she's now been given some words of wisdom from a fellow Loose Women star.
In an exclusive interview, Katie - who appeared on Strictly in 2018 and was partnered with Gorka Marquez before becoming the third celebrity to leave the competition - recalled her time on the programme, saying it was 'hard' to start training just months after she gave birth to her second child.
However she shared her love for her time on the show and, admitting she's only met Stacey once and doesn't know her as well as other Loose Women panellists, shared some words of wisdom, encouraging the future Strictly stars to 'enjoy it'.
'When are you ever going to get the chance ever again to dance with a professional dancer, in front of all those people? Strictly goes all out with the wigs, the makeup, all the costumes.'
(Image: BBC)
She went on: 'So it's quite a unique opportunity to have and to wear all the stuff and seeing pictures and footage of yourself professionally dancing, if that's not your chosen career, it's quite an incredible world to dip into."
Despite having starred on the BBC competition, mum-of-two Katie now struggles to find ways to fit watching the show into her weekly schedule, among family life and other TV work including her ITV breakfast programme.
'I have a breakfast show on ITV and it starts at 8.25am so I'm not really this big Saturday night person,' she admitted. 'I work so much that I try and be with the kids on the weekends, I'll take them to swimming and then we'll go out and get some lunch.
'And then really in the evenings, I have to say, it's like proper mum mode where I'm tidying up, my eldest goes to bed at half eight or nine and I usually go up to bed because then I'm up early.'

As her children are growing up, Katie is focusing on having the family reconnect away from busy schedules and social media, and has now teamed up with easyJet on a campaign to do so.
The airline has launched its 'Airplane Mode' campaign to help families like Katie's spend quality time together, away from personal devices and hectic day-to-day lives.
As part of the initiative, the airline has introduced a family card game involving conversation-sparking questions and prompts to share advice and meaningful experiences with each other, that will be handed out for free for families jetting off on holiday, available at airports across the UK from today (while stocks last).
'It's a brilliant initiative and it's so overdue,' Katie told us. 'We all understand the social media dangers for children, and I don't actually think it's all about putting the blame on kids. I think I speak for myself as a mum, we're guilty of always being on our phones and our children wanting to connect with us, and they can't.'

Like many other parents across the nation, Katie's fears were amplified by the Netflix series Adolescence, which, alongside the campaign, left her worrying that there's so much out there she doesn't know and that just talking to children may not be enough.
'You can't just be checking notifications and emails whilst you're trying to get them to confide in you, and you can't just accept them saying 'Oh no, I'm fine' when they get in from school and put their bag down.
'It was one of the most important pieces of television I'd seen in a while, and I got speaking to easyJet quite soon after that about this initiative.'
She added: 'This is something I feel so passionate about, even if I wasn't doing this campaign.'
The easyJet Airplane Mode card game will be available to customers at UK airports including London Gatwick, London Luton, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh and Belfast this summer (while stocks last). Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One and iPlayer later this year.

Emmerdale fans beg 'dire' storyline to end as it's a 'waste'

Viewers of the ITV soap have seemingly grown bored of a plot strand related to Charity Dingle (played by Emma Atkins) and her granddaughter Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill). This element of the programme has seen Sarah wanting to fulfil her dream of becoming a mum amid. It's come after she recently underwent an emergency hysterectomy amid complications during her cancer surgery. Conflict has emerged between Sarah and Charity over whether this is a good idea or not, and Emmerdale fans have not been a fan of how it has progressed. A post was made on the r/Emmerdale Reddit page that said: "Is anyone else as bored with the whole Sarah/baby storyline as I am? Like, shut up already. "Every time she's on screen it's the same thing: Sarah: 'I want a baby' Charity: 'I don't think that's a good idea' Sarah: 'I hate you' "Every. Single. Episode. GAAAAAAAAH It's so boring I can't stand it." Emmerdale fans slam 'dire' storyline with Sarah Sugden and Charity Dingle Quite a few people agreed with the sentiment of the Reddit post, saying they want the show to move on to something else. One person shared: "It's dire. They've absolutely ruined Sarah's character, and now they're getting on nicely with ruining Cain and Charity too. "Just tell the spoilt little madam that no, she can't have her own way and she needs to get over it, and chuck her on a plane to Australia to see her mother and leave us all alone." Another commented: "I hate this storyline so much. Such a waste of good characters". A third said: "YES! I completely feel you on this. I despise this entire story line. It's completely ruined Emmerdale for me. There would only be positives if this stupid plot was cut." A lot of people expressed tiredness with the storyline, as one said: "It's infuriating. Setting aside the callousness of it all, everyone is both repetitive and stupid." Recommended reading: Not everyone had the same feelings towards it, though, as one wrote: "I don't mind it. Definitely not my least favourite storyline of the moment. That award goes to anything Joe related." Another posted: "The storyline itself does nothing for me. But I'm really enjoying the performances it's bringing out of the actors. And I like watching the characters involved even if the story itself is rubbish." A third expressed: "I agree it's very repetitive atp but I also think that some people leaving comments about this SL need to remember that there are probably real life people out there in similar situations to Sarah who either want or have a family of their own and that a bit of empathy goes a long way."

Emmerdale's John Middleton joins rival soap for 'evil' role

The actor, who played the lovely village vicar, Ashley Thomas, on the ITV show from 1996 until 2017, is set to appear on Hollyoaks as a mob boss. He left the Yorkshire Dales after his character suffered a harrowing dementia storyline. Before taking on his most famous role as Ashley, he originally appeared in Emmerdale as PC John Jarvis briefly. Discussing the new role on Hollyoaks for the ITV actor, a source said: "People usually think of Ashley when they see John, but that won't be happening any more, Fraser is about as far away from the kindly vicar you can get." Talking with The Sun, they added: "He's possibly the most evil character Hollyoaks has ever had - and for a village plagued by serial killers, that's saying something. Fraser will make his entrance very soon, and he's got more than one connection to the village with his twisted family already there.' When he joins the Channel 4 programme in the near future, fans will quickly come to know him as the father of notorious villain, Fraser Black, played by Jesse Birdsall. A post shared by Colin Boulter (@neilson_photo_actors) This character terrorised residents on the show before being murdered in 2014. A 'whodunnit' storyline, which went on for several months after his death, revealed that he was shot by his very own stepson, Freddie Roscoe (played by Charlie Clapham). He is also the grandfather of shady Hollyoaks characters like Clare Devine, Grace Black and Rex Gallagher. According to IMDb, the 71-year-old actor from Bradford has starred in a number of shows beyond Emmerdale. From 1993 until 1995, he starred in four episodes of Coronation Street as John Hargreaves, the man who knocked down and killed Lisa Duckworth, and Mr. Mitchell, a hospital consultant. He was also in two episodes of The Gambling Man and even appeared as Tony Warren in the 1998 TV movie The Things You Do for Love: Against the Odds. In 2021, he appeared in the medical programme Doctors.

Call the Midwife's Helen George sobs over traumatic past in ITV's risky new show

Helen George swaps the world of showbiz for literal shark-infested waters in ITV's new reality show, while Channel 4's The Couple Next Door returns with a steamy new story Call the Midwife star Helen George is just one of the celebs who'll be coming face-to-face with one of the sea's deadliest beasts in ITV's new reality show Shark! Celebrty Infested Waters tonight. Proving just how far celebrities will go to stay on the telly, this new reality format sends seven famous faces into shark-filled waters near the Bahamas. 50 years after Jaws became a phenomenon at the cinema, the likes of actor Lenny Henry, comedian Ross Noble and McFly's Dougie Poynter have signed up for a stomach-churning sequence of dives, where they will encounter various species of shark, getting more perilous each time. ‌ ‌ Although Countdown's Rachel Riley is excited for the challenge, most of the celebs look like they want to fire their agents, with Call the Midwife star Helen George declaring she's terrified of the sea, and Motherland actor Lucy Punch hilariously dismissing the apex predators as 'savage tubes of teeth.' There's a sobering start to the experience, as they meet their guides, including Paul, a former Aussie serviceman who lost his hand and leg to a ten-foot bull shark in a training exercise, but now campaigns for shark conservation. Acutely aware of the dangers they face, they prepare for their first dive, but with Helen and Lenny both struggling with traumatic childhood memories of swimming pools, just getting underwater is a challenge. Soon, they're stepping into a cage suspended in the ocean, surrounded by bull sharks, whose every move makes them shake. And it's only going to get scarier from here. The experts hope the celebs will go home with a new respect – and even affection – for the villains of the sea, but that feels rather optimistic at this point… ‌ Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters begins tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX. The Best of the Rest Michael Mosley: Secrets Of The Superagers, Channel 4, 8pm If throwing yourself out of a plane is the secret to a better memory, some of us would prefer to just be forgetful... You don't have to be a daredevil to age well though, as Michael explores the theory that learning new things can ward off dementia. Small children's brains expand as they pick up new skills, so a group of volunteers test the theory that mastering new hobbies simultaneously can stop your brain shrinking. After a year of learning Spanish and taking art classes, the stunning results of this experiment will have you googling evening classes in your area. ‌ The Couple Next Door, Channel 4, 9pm This steamy relationship drama returns to the same posh cul de sac, but with a new couple at the heart of the story. Surgeon Charlotte (The Split's Anabel Scholey) and anaesthetist Jacob (Nashville's Sam Palladio) work at the same hospital, and their marriage is a happy one. That is until enigmatic new nurse Mia turns up for her first shift. ‌ Immediately overstepping the mark with her colleagues, she makes quite the impression. Later, Charlotte is stunned when Mia moves into the house next door, and she can't stop thinking about her. How can she afford a huge family home on her own, on a nurse's salary, and why is she so keen to make friends with resident creep, Alan (Hugh Dennis)? Meanwhile, Charlotte's ex, Leo, is back on the scene, as family circumstances force him to return to the hospital. Jacob is unsettled by his return, and turns down a tantalising prospect of promotion to avoid him. EastEnders, BBC1, 7.30pm ‌ Lauren is surprised to see Oscar again. Linda tells Kat that it's time for her to sell The Vic? ‌ Emmerdale, ITV, 7.30pm Kim is blissfully unaware that Dr Crowley is planning to take her to the cleaners. But Joe knows exactly what he's up to, and arranges to confront him. ‌ Charity desperately wants to help Sarah and tries to persuade Vic to offer to be her surrogate.
