Emmerdale fans beg 'dire' storyline to end as it's a 'waste'

Viewers of the ITV soap have seemingly grown bored of a plot strand related to Charity Dingle (played by Emma Atkins) and her granddaughter Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill).
This element of the programme has seen Sarah wanting to fulfil her dream of becoming a mum amid.
It's come after she recently underwent an emergency hysterectomy amid complications during her cancer surgery.
Conflict has emerged between Sarah and Charity over whether this is a good idea or not, and Emmerdale fans have not been a fan of how it has progressed.
A post was made on the r/Emmerdale Reddit page that said: "Is anyone else as bored with the whole Sarah/baby storyline as I am? Like, shut up already.
"Every time she's on screen it's the same thing: Sarah: 'I want a baby' Charity: 'I don't think that's a good idea' Sarah: 'I hate you'
"Every. Single. Episode. GAAAAAAAAH It's so boring I can't stand it."

Quite a few people agreed with the sentiment of the Reddit post, saying they want the show to move on to something else.
One person shared: "It's dire. They've absolutely ruined Sarah's character, and now they're getting on nicely with ruining Cain and Charity too.
"Just tell the spoilt little madam that no, she can't have her own way and she needs to get over it, and chuck her on a plane to Australia to see her mother and leave us all alone."
Another commented: "I hate this storyline so much. Such a waste of good characters".
A third said: "YES! I completely feel you on this. I despise this entire story line. It's completely ruined Emmerdale for me. There would only be positives if this stupid plot was cut."
A lot of people expressed tiredness with the storyline, as one said: "It's infuriating. Setting aside the callousness of it all, everyone is both repetitive and stupid."

Not everyone had the same feelings towards it, though, as one wrote: "I don't mind it. Definitely not my least favourite storyline of the moment. That award goes to anything Joe related."
Another posted: "The storyline itself does nothing for me. But I'm really enjoying the performances it's bringing out of the actors. And I like watching the characters involved even if the story itself is rubbish."
A third expressed: "I agree it's very repetitive atp but I also think that some people leaving comments about this SL need to remember that there are probably real life people out there in similar situations to Sarah who either want or have a family of their own and that a bit of empathy goes a long way."
